Pax is Now a Pitt
Brad Pitt is on his way to becoming Pax’s official daddy.
As expected, partner Angelina Jolie filed legal papers to change the name of her newly adopted son to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.
Angelina adopted Pax, now 3, last month from a Ho Chi Minh City orphanage.
A legal petition was filed Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court by Angelina to include “the last name of her partner” Brad Pitt.
Break-up rumors, be gone!

Recently, I took my 13-year-old daughter Maddy to a New York City event honoring Angelina Jolie. Every parent will relate to the fact that Maddy often finds the world of celebrity magazines more interesting than the world of her father—which in my case centers on the United Nations and its work fighting poverty. That night Angelina brought those two worlds together. Maddy was awed by how Angelina used her celebrity to lift all of us beyond the glamour of a Manhattan ballroom and make us confront the grim realities of poverty in the farthest corners of the globe.
That ability to transcend worlds has something to do with Angelina’s movie-star charisma—but it also says something about her diligence and grit. Angelina, 30, spends a great deal of time in the developing world, visiting refugee camps, speaking and listening to the men, women and children she is working to help. Those people, Angelina explained, “have seen so much, they’ve felt so much pain—lost more than anyone could bear, and yet they contain joy of life and appreciation for small things we often forget.” It was a further indication of Angelina’s humanity that she stopped to listen and talk to Maddy as the city’s power brokers hovered impatiently, awaiting their brush with celebrity.
Angelina’s commitment as goodwill ambassador for the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees has pushed her to speak out about root causes—economic failure and lack of justice. She urged me relentlessly to meet her last year during a stopover at an airport where our paths happened to be crossing, so that I could brief her ahead of her appearance at a big international meeting. It is typical of her. The subject was the Millennium Development Goals—a set of objectives agreed upon by the world’s governments. They range from eradicating poverty to reversing the spread of HIV/AIDS. As always, she wanted to be prepared—not just to share impressions of poverty but to be able to speak seriously to the issues. Angelina went on to make a film for MTV on a village in Kenya, where a pilot project is under way to fight poverty, hunger and disease.
That blending of the activist and the performer, not on the set but in the African bush, reflects her determination to stick with a subject, immerse herself in it, make it part of her life—and then bring her public with her. It is celebrity advocacy at its most effective, most intelligent and most sincere. For that, she has my enduring respect and gratitude—and Maddy’s.

Celebrity News Angelina Jolie Inspires Aviation Fashion Collection
Angelina Jolie’s style has inspired a new clothing line to be debuted at the upcoming Los Angeles Fashion Week.
The high-flying Tomb Raider star’s clothing choices have had a major impact on designer Alvin Valley and he’s created a new collection to pay tribute to the actress and humanitarian.
Valley’s new line is also inspired by America’s first licensed female pilot, Harriet Quimby. Valley tells online blogger Marc Malkin, “Harriet designed her own costumes for piloting. She was really an original and also a pioneer and a strong sort of woman. (And Jolie), she’s not just some girl who gets into a limo, and it’s all about that and a bodyguard. I think that girls who fly their own planes are pretty cool.”
Now, Valley, who regularly styles Sharon Stone and Kate Winslet, hopes his new collection will prompt Jolie to give him a call. He adds, “I’d just love to style her completely… I think she should stick more with sexy suits and pants. I think she’s sexier wearing that than a dress.”

Jolie Gets Sexiest Mother title
Angelina Jolie has been voted Hollywood’s ‘yummiest mummy’.
The actress topped a poll of over 3,000 film fans, conducted by movie website http://www.pearlanddean.com,/ to take the sexy accolade.
Angelina - who has four children, Maddox, five, Zahara, two, 10-month-old Shiloh and newly adopted Vietnamese boy Pax Thien - beat a host of other stunning Hollywood mothers to the title with around a quarter of the total vote.
Kate Winslet came second with 18 per cent of the votes, while Reese Witherspoon - who has two children, daughter Ava and son Deacon - and Cate Blanchett came third and fourth respectively.
Pearl and Dean spokesperson Kathryn Jacob wasn’t surprised sultry Angelina - whose partner is Brad Pitt - topped the poll.

When Americans were asked which of the celebrities from LIME’s survey they would most want to “partner yoga” with, 44% of Americans chose Cameron Diaz to do yoga with as a partner, more than double the folks that would want to partner with Jada Pinkett Smith (22%), L.L. Cool J (18%), and Mark Wahlberg (17%).
Americans would most like to spend a day doing “green” things like recycling with “green” celebs like Salma Hayek (37%) and Brad Pitt (30%). Significantly fewer Americans chose the other celebs listed in the LIME survey: Sting, who brought in only 19%, and Daryl Hannah, who brought in only 13%, will have fewer fans wanting to go to the local dump to sort trash with them.

Jolie joins top political and foreign policy think tank
Hollywood megastar Angelina Jolie has reportedly been elected a member of an exclusive American foreign policy think tank.
The UN goodwill ambassador will join US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former secretary Henry Kissinger, and top economist Alan Greenspan in the ranks of the influential Council of Foreign Relations, according to the New York Post.
The Manhattan-based group’s membership accepted Jolie’s nomination on Friday night, the newspaper said.
The CFR demands no academic credentials from the select few it lets in but does look for people who take part in world affairs.
Jolie, 31, has made dozens of trips around the world to campaign for refugees, Aids orphans and disaster victims.
Current member Dr Gordon Adams, an international affairs professor, was all in favour of the unusually glamorous new member.
“Bring her on,’’ he told the Post. “The idea of having Henry Kissinger and Angelina Jolie in the same organisation is dazzling.’’
Carol Adelman, a former head of US foreign aid programmes, added: “It’s not like Paris Hilton is being nominated.’’
