Amaya- thank you very much. I put your blog address in my favorites. I haven’t responded cuz my e-mail is acting up but I had a feeling as I wrote “Pax is chewing on my thong and looking to bury it” would not be interpreted as a flip flop :lol: :lol:

Not that it really matters to them, I think their priorities are far beyond being hot. But it’s always nice to know they are recognized.

I’m not surprised that this is how Grazia operates - or any other tabloid for that matter. These rags appeal to people’s most base behaviour to gossip and spread malicious untruths. I recognize the name of that rag because I recall that occasionally we will see pictures of the JP’s here that are from their publication. At least they tend to pick out better pictures than some of the American rags. I’ve just never bought in to the garbage they spout and ironically I find more ‘hard news’ from the fans here through the many great links they post - on a celebrity blog site!

New Campaign to Mobilize the Billions Needed to Care for Orphans Worldwide
Washington, DC, September 20, 2006—Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt announced today that they will donate $1 million to Global Action for Children (GAC), an advocacy coalition based in Washington, DC, to launch a new campaign to mobilize moms, churches, and schools in the US and other wealthy G8 nations to help care for orphans around the world. “We are absolutely thrilled and grateful for their generous donation,” said Jennifer Delaney, Director of Global Action for Children.

“Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt not only care, but more importantly, are taking concrete action to address the fact that there will be 20 million children orphaned by AIDS by 2010, and millions more orphaned by tuberculosis, malaria, and conflict, or whose parents are sick and dying. The vast majority of these children are being cared for by extended families and communities that desperately need support to overcome the ravages of HIV/AIDS and poverty. Ms. Jolie and Mr. Pitt have provided an invaluable opportunity to mobilize the resources needed to help hard-hit communities care for and raise these kids.”

A broad-based bipartisan campaign led by Global Action for Children and calling on the US government and all G8 nations to mobilize the billions of dollars needed for a comprehensive response to the crisis of orphans and vulnerable children will be launched in early 2007. GAC’s mission is to marshal the political will and financial resources needed to ensure, through community-based solutions, that all children have access to essential health care, education, food and nutrition, and social support services.

Delaney also said, “Governments and citizens worldwide are increasingly aware that addressing the needs of orphans and other vulnerable children is key to prevent children from falling prey to armed conflict, forced labor, physical and sexual abuse, disease, malnutrition, and poverty. Support and care of orphans is not only a key component in the fight against HIV/AIDS, it is also essential to ensuring that generations of children around the world have the opportunity to grow up healthy and contribute to the stability and economic growth of their communities and nations.”

Last November, Angelina Jolie worked with Global Action for Children to urge the US Congress to fully fund programs to meet the needs of orphaned and vulnerable children worldwide. At a Capitol Hill press conference, accompanied by members of Congress and religious leaders, she said, “America has the opportunity to lead the world in addressing the AIDS orphan crisis. We all know we should do this. I hope that we will.” Jolie also highlighted the importance of guaranteeing universal access to quality education and called for the elimination of school fees.

GAC has a strong track record of success. GAC partners and other advocates helped persuade key members of Congress to require that 10% of total U.S. global AIDS spending must be reserved for the care and support of orphans and vulnerable children. The U.K. and Ireland have also followed the U.S. lead by committing 10% and 20%, respectively, of their AIDS funding for OVC. GAC also played a critical roll in the passage of the Assistance for Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children in Developing Countries Act, a bill mandating a comprehensive response to meeting the needs of orphans and vulnerable children. Hey all! I have the People magazine right here with me. The cover is Drew Barrymore and I must say it’s a very good photo of her. Now the good news, Kerry Washinton is in this issue twice. Yes the former co-star of Brad & Angelina in MMS made the list as did outrfavorite couple. On pages 130-131 (kinda like a centerfold) there’s a picture of Angelina with a HUGE smile with an African child held by her mother. I think this was taken in Chad. On the inset is a photo of a happy Brad & Angelina at Brad’s premiere of GGTOU. This WORLD”S MOST BEAUTIFUL issue seems to be divided into sub categories. Brad & Angelina begins the section of “These striking celebs do more than just look good, They do good.” “Beauty Inside & Out”. Under Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie, Humanitarian Issues is: Advocates for a variety of humanitarian causes inluding ending genocide in places like Darfur, providing relief to refugees and helping AIDS orphans. Jolie, 31, the mother of Maddox,5, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2 and Shiloh, 1, serves as a goodwill Ambassador for the United nations Refugee Agency, while Pitt, 43, also champions the rebuilding of New Orleans.”

Why they do it: “you see these people who are really fighting something, who are really surviving, who have so much pain and loss,” Jolie told CNN last year of her visits to refugee camps. “I am so inspired by these people.” Says Pitt: “Being a father mens being concerned about the plight of all childre, especially the children who don’t have the opportunities mine have…We could be doing better. It makes me want to get involved.”

Good News= Great Day for the Jolie-Pitts.

They should be in Prague within a week or so according to articles about the Wanted shooting schedule. Can’t wait to see some pixs of them there, or if not, in Cannes on the red carpet. May looks to be a wonderful month with lots of opprotunities/events/pixs for fans to enjoy.

I suggest that those of you who get upset/worried about negative tabloid stories just take a deep breath and say to yourself “This too will pass”. Just don’t read it. Brad and Angelina are living their lives their own way, have managed to get some privacy, and it’s all good for them. They respond to those stories that might affect the kids and ignore the others. So what if a tab manages to sell copies and the truly ignorant believe the lies that are printed. Some people can be fooled all the time, and anyone who believes any of the unsourced trash printed in a tab is a fool. The tabs printing the negative cra* know their core audience, frustrated miserable women who harbor major dreams/delusions of Brad being with them, so of course the trash is slanted negatively toward Angelina and positively toward “hero” Brad. Hey the tabs have to keep their fake fairy tales alive to reel in their true believers.

Also People Magazine recognized Angie and Brad for their great Humanitarian work and that beats tabbies any day, IMO!
