I keep telling you guys over and over that this man is so damn beautiful. There IS no other word to use to describe his looks and “beautiful” doesn’t really do him justice either. He is so beyond “good-looking, handsome, even gorgeous!”

Went sometimes makes my eyes well with his beauty. Some of his pics do, anyway. I know that sounds silly, but I’ve found that I’m not the only one.

No Went isn’t a “Brad Pitt.” He actually looks better than Brad, IMO. Brad doesn’t look good all the time. In fact, he often looks dirty. His dirty isn’t sexy to me. But Went’s is. I have to admit, I have never seen a man more beautiful than Brad was in the blue in Troy. OMGosh! That man even makes a skirt look masculine. I don’t think Went could pull that off without looking a bit gay.

The pictures are just too YUMMY and HOT for words no wonder he made People’s “World’s Most Beautiful” list this year

I saw his first pix about month ago,I’ve never saw Prison Break till that. My thoughts were like:” Nice. One of the new actors,not bad,cute”. But people just crazy about him. Than I decided to watch Prison Break. Very good movie. Went is amasing actor no doubt. But once again to say he is the most beautiful man. NO WAY. In my very personal opinion there are many better looking men and talented actors. As I said before people so love Prison Break that they adore Went’s character more that actor by himself.
You know,Pitt in Joe Black,Troy,Oceans. Leo in Titanic,Romeo and Julia, Jud Law in Closer, Cleave Owen… ( I talked just about actors) much much better.

I am bit disappointed that they (People) made Went’s skin look lighter in this pic. I have seen the original photo and he is darker. His eyes look lighter in this pic too.

My fandom for Went isn’t based off his character, Michael, on Prison Break. It’s based on the interviews that I’ve seen, read, and heard via the media. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not even pretending that I know him. He’s prepped for his interviews just like all the other actors but some of his responses just can’t be faked. He does “seem” to be a genuinely nice guy. He is such a talented actor but in a year or two, he’ll be even better and I can’t wait! I noticed Went from a long time ago. I’m talking Dinatopia and Joan of Arcadia long time ago. He is so beautiful, again I hate him. I could eat him up, he’s so deliciously yummy!

To Black:

Went looks young because his father is black. No offense, but unless we (black people/minorities) have a hard life, we age better than caucasians. He got the young-looking genes from his dad. He claims that he doesn’t eat well, but trust me, he takes care of himself. It’s part of the job that he loves.

We love him, because he is a mixture of great and sexy looking guy, with intelligence, great sense of humor, well manners and because he never gives himself great airs.

He deserves this title like nobody else. He is not only beautiful, but also sexy, charming and so hmmmmmmm…… ;)))) And these pics are so great:)))

At least he is the most beautiful man IMO. Brad’s luck of brains and his constant licking of his lips makes him way far behind Went. I can mention countless other men who beat Brad hands down. Moreover, Brad does not know how to dress does not clean up well. He is in torn shoes and dirty vests with un ironed shirts. In most of his interviews, he does not come off as a man with brains and his current relationship current relationship reinforced this perception.

On the other hand, Went has beauty and brains and a sense of humour. This is evident in his interviews and the fact htat he was at princeton. I admit his character on Prison breaqk helps a lot.

The main, over all reason that we (most of us) age better, is because we tend to stay out of the sun, and tanning beds, off the beach, and so on. Ultra violet rays really do a number on your skin. People are learning and using other methods now like sunless tanning lotions and the airbrush thing so, you’re looking younger for longer! Ha! Ha! Ha!

DeeCee, it’s sad to say but you’re right. The lightening of his skin is a deliberate thing. People Magazine is trying to make him look as white as possible.

Without getting into the deep psychological reasons as to why this publication “lightens” his pic..it’s relatively easy to understand. Alot a of people are not to this day thrilled about little white girls going ‘gah gah’ and aroused over a black male. If you come from a open minded background or country this very thought is absurd. But the US is still plagued by its history of racial divides. And one of the biggests historical NO-NO’s is the idea that white females are hot for black men. It’s STILL taboo…in many segments of the population. That is why people get all shocked and start writing in numerous forums ‘I can’t believe he’s half-black!’ (what they’re really saying is ‘who’ve guess I was getting horny over a black-man! But with his lighter skin tone it’s ok to lust for him ..the shock is in finding out he’s part black. Deep down that is a mental shocker.)
I guarantee you….to keep his fan base. He will never appear in a movie with a black actress as his love interest. He’s being carefully sold in the imaginations of all with subtleness portray as a white guy..which also explains why in many photoshoots his eyes are always being tinted another color…light or blue.

Oh, I’m sure he’d relish doing roles that are broad and welcoming of people who are mixed…but what does that entail? I mean in The Human Stain, he plays a character who at the end of the day chooses to reject identifying with his “black” family or part of himself in order to adjust to the white world in order for him to move ahead. That’s a great story..because in essence it is asking..if you had the skin color of a white person (and could pass totally) even though you’re biological family and ties are black…do you stay true to your identity and or opt for living an easier life denying the part that clearly society rejects. That was set in the 50’s.

When I see his pics being lightened up and his eye coloring changed to lighten greeens and blues, the message I receive is it’s still the same.

Curious, I love you! I agree with you wholeheartedly. I have had conversations with both my black and white friends about him ( and how much i love him), and it’s so funny what the reactions are when i say that he is black. Most of my black friends either say ” You know, now that you mention it….” or, “yeah, i could tell…” Most of my white friends usually respond with a ” What?!” or “OMG! I had no idea.” I even had one say ” Well he’s still hot…” One of my closset friends thought he was Hispanic ( he’s kinda slow….). I don’t know what my point it, but i know for a fact that if it was more obvious that he was a black, Prison Break would not air on a primetime network like Fox. He wouldn’t have even gotten the job in the 1st place. Taye Diggs was the lead on that show he was on for like a minute, then it was gone. I don’t think some people (add persuasion here) are ready for that. And, i agree with the comments that the reason why he looks younger than his age is b/c of his ethnic background. Genes play a part in that as well, i think.

Please I am not saying that these marketig choices are even within his total control..but i am also not saying he is unaware either. After he is in a business. He of course knows what roles he is going to accept or not. But his image physical image makes no mistake as being perceived as a white male and marketed as such. That’s the whole point of his character in The Human Stain. I am not saying that black actors are not leading box office stars (someone pointed out that Will Smith is so…and Denzel Washington is one of the leading top actors..as Jamie Foxx. They are african -american actor and there’s no hiding that fact or guessing about it..but I also wonder how many young little white girls are lusting about these guys as much as Went? hmmm.) Whereas Wentworth is bi-racial and through marketing portrayed as a white male. That is why I say people are shock to find out he’s half-black. He has said that his eyes are hazel. So of course if magazine are changing his eyes to light blue and light green..what are they doing? trying to in a very subtle way make you feel he is white. No I don’t fault him because like his character in that movie, he wants to get ahead that’s his choice..and if that image sells for him. He’s going to go along with it all the way to the bank. But I repeat I highly doubt he will ever have a black woman as his love interest n a show or film. It’s not personal it’s all about marketing and show business.

Kitty, sorry but this is just wrong. If you look at the ORIGINAL, unaltered photo, as linked by both myself and Guilettonzola above your post, you will see that there he has his real eye colour (hazel, but looking sea green/blue here, as they often do). He does appear to wear contacts in some HQ pics, but they are clear, not coloured. When his eye colour is changed in photos, it is as a result of photoshopping by the magazine or whatever; it is not his choice. He has even commented in the past about how the way mags change his eye colour is one of the things which helps him disconnect from the image they portray of him and his real self.

Oh, and to the people complaining about his feet (???), I have no idea what you’re talking about, I think he has beautiful feet. Went, if ever you fancy a foot rub I will be more than happy to oblige. Any. Damn. Time. ;)

For all that’s great about America, when we go back to this ****, it taints us. INTEGRATE PEOPLE - don’t just talk about it, or dream about, DO IT and learn from each other while you’re at it.

As for the small consensus who thinks that Went would never have a black on-screen love interest…I don’t get that line of thinking. Are you insinuating that black actresses are any less desirable than white actresses? Are you saying that they’re any less bankable or any less talented? Are you saying that Went would really be that shallow? I hope not.

Went strikes me as the kind of person who cringes at the thought of having to box his different ethnicities into one category on applications. I bet he marks the “other” box with pride. Funny how the only people who say race isn’t an issue are white or white-appearing. The reality is that Went is being marketed as white as possible, which is the reason behind the skin-bleaching in the People spread. As far as the multi-ethnic thing, generally “multi-ethnic” translates “white” which is why Went got so annoyed when that dumb reporter tried to pull that “mutt” nonsense. What did Went tell him? Something about “That means you’re white. But thanks for playing…” If Went were merely “multi-ethnic”, he’d just be another white actor. Went is biracial. And everyone knows what that means in this country, right?

In response to some recently posted messages, I have read in the media many many times Went being referred to “biracial” I don’t recall anyone using the word “multi-racial” to describe Went. I have seen the words “mixed race” in some interviews, and they often describe his racial background further. I have also read an interview a while back where Went has used the term ” a racial lone ranger” to decscribe himself as well.

I remember that “mutt” incident and I liked the way Went handled it. I’m pretty sure that interviewer had his foot in his or her mouth after interview!

Yes of course we all have our theories and I appreciate the fact that we are discussing…Not fighting over our variety of viewpoints. My observations are not about WM but about how Mr. Miller is marketed and presented to us. I am not disputing his beauty. And really focus was not of his actions per say but by what and how the media distorts and packages celebrities to us. When the same media glorifies wire thin girls…am I the viewer mislead to believe that the this is the ideal image for females.
I am both able to see him as a handsome man but I don’t have to feign blindness to subtle tactic of marketing technique just because of it.

I just saw the PEOPLE magazine photo. His eye color and skin color appeared very “normal” to me. Eyes were a hazel/green, and his skin wasn’t bleached out as it is here. The alteration in color is more obvious here than in the magazine. I don’t think the mag altered anything.

why is so many people compared went with pitt? I’ve always thought that he is the unique one that should not always “beat” some other else instead of stay himself. the magzine noted he as the world’s most beautiful, admittedly, there are some other gorgeous guys there, but i think just tag Went as “bautiful” is enough.maybe he is not no.1 but he’s cute . maybe add “one of” shall get more applause.

We all have different opinions, no need to use only Caps Lock or get angry. I’m not a big fan of him, and I don’t know him very well, but he is handsome. I pretty much agree with their choices (but in different order!) and I think they did a really good job this year. Also, Anon, it’s your opinion, but Pete Wentz ROCKS.

Its a matter of perspective- “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” so they say, and I behold Went beautiful indeed!
What makes him so appealing is that he is so grounded in his interviews. Since I dont know him personally I base my judgement on how he carries himself around others, how he talks about himself and other people, what is opinion on the many things people have thrown his way or placing him on his pedestal. He remained simple and real and absolutely no airs at all-none that I’ve heard him speak of. No illusion of grandeur and always gives plausible answers.
