Wentworth Miller: World’s Most Beautiful

Without getting into the deep psychological reasons as to why this publication “lightens” his pic..it’s relatively easy to understand. Alot a of people are not to this day thrilled about little white girls going ‘gah gah’ and aroused over a black male. If you come from a open minded background or country this very thought is absurd. But the US is still plagued by its history of racial divides. And one of the biggests historical NO-NO’s is the idea that white females are hot for black men. It’s STILL taboo…in many segments of the population. That is why people get all shocked and start writing in numerous forums ‘I can’t believe he’s half-black!’ (what they’re really saying is ‘who’ve guess I was getting horny over a black-man! But with his lighter skin tone it’s ok to lust for him ..the shock is in finding out he’s part black. Deep down that is a mental shocker.)
I guarantee you….to keep his fan base. He will never appear in a movie with a black actress as his love interest. He’s being carefully sold in the imaginations of all with subtleness portray as a white guy..which also explains why in many photoshoots his eyes are always being tinted another color…light or blue.

Oh, I’m sure he’d relish doing roles that are broad and welcoming of people who are mixed…but what does that entail? I mean in The Human Stain, he plays a character who at the end of the day chooses to reject identifying with his “black” family or part of himself in order to adjust to the white world in order for him to move ahead. That’s a great story..because in essence it is asking..if you had the skin color of a white person (and could pass totally) even though you’re biological family and ties are black…do you stay true to your identity and or opt for living an easier life denying the part that clearly society rejects. That was set in the 50’s.
Is it different today?
When I see his pics being lightened up and his eye coloring changed to lighten greeens and blues, the message I receive is it’s still the same.

See, I´m from Europa, white (but not quiet), I´m 21 and people always mistake me for being 16. Same goes with my mother and father .(who both smoke ALOT, and spend much time outside) Stil people always assume that they are ten years younger.

Curious, I love you! I agree with you wholeheartedly. I have had conversations with both my black and white friends about him ( and how much i love him), and it’s so funny what the reactions are when i say that he is black. Most of my black friends either say ” You know, now that you mention it….” or, “yeah, i could tell…” Most of my white friends usually respond with a ” What?!” or “OMG! I had no idea.” I even had one say ” Well he’s still hot…” One of my closset friends thought he was Hispanic ( he’s kinda slow….). I don’t know what my point it, but i know for a fact that if it was more obvious that he was a black, Prison Break would not air on a primetime network like Fox. He wouldn’t have even gotten the job in the 1st place. Taye Diggs was the lead on that show he was on for like a minute, then it was gone. I don’t think some people (add persuasion here) are ready for that. And, i agree with the comments that the reason why he looks younger than his age is b/c of his ethnic background. Genes play a part in that as well, i think.

Black, White, Purple, Green I don’t care, he’s the hottest man I’ve ever laid me eyes on! He’s not only gorgeous but smart, talented, charming and sexy as hell! Oh and his eyes and voice are to die for! I agree, Wentworth is the most beautiful man in the world!

I like the original photo best, I wish these idiots would not photoshop his gorgeous-ness! Gawd, they even had the nerve to take off his moles, Grrrr!!!

Please I am not saying that these marketig choices are even within his total control..but i am also not saying he is unaware either. After he is in a business. He of course knows what roles he is going to accept or not. But his image physical image makes no mistake as being perceived as a white male and marketed as such. That’s the whole point of his character in The Human Stain. I am not saying that black actors are not leading box office stars (someone pointed out that Will Smith is so…and Denzel Washington is one of the leading top actors..as Jamie Foxx. They are african -american actor and there’s no hiding that fact or guessing about it..but I also wonder how many young little white girls are lusting about these guys as much as Went? hmmm.) Whereas Wentworth is bi-racial and through marketing portrayed as a white male. That is why I say people are shock to find out he’s half-black. He has said that his eyes are hazel. So of course if magazine are changing his eyes to light blue and light green..what are they doing? trying to in a very subtle way make you feel he is white. No I don’t fault him because like his character in that movie, he wants to get ahead that’s his choice..and if that image sells for him. He’s going to go along with it all the way to the bank. But I repeat I highly doubt he will ever have a black woman as his love interest n a show or film. It’s not personal it’s all about marketing and show business.

For those who are nitpicking Wentworth; are we just a teeny weeny bit J.E.A.L.O.U.S of pure perfection. I as a person that is a frequent inspector of hands and feet must say that went has the finest hands and feet i have ever seen on a human being especially male. So insults of my man are not needed. Place yourselves somewhere else

Kitty, sorry but this is just wrong. If you look at the ORIGINAL, unaltered photo, as linked by both myself and Guilettonzola above your post, you will see that there he has his real eye colour (hazel, but looking sea green/blue here, as they often do). He does appear to wear contacts in some HQ pics, but they are clear, not coloured. When his eye colour is changed in photos, it is as a result of photoshopping by the magazine or whatever; it is not his choice. He has even commented in the past about how the way mags change his eye colour is one of the things which helps him disconnect from the image they portray of him and his real self.

Oh, and to the people complaining about his feet (???), I have no idea what you’re talking about, I think he has beautiful feet. Went, if ever you fancy a foot rub I will be more than happy to oblige. Any. Damn. Time. ;)
