OlderAngelina Jolie @ GAC Launch — Part II
Here is your exclusive access to Board Member of Cambodian Health Committee and UN Goodwill Ambassador for High Commissioner for Refugees Angelina Jolie before the launch of “Global Action for Children” (GAC) on Thursday in Washington, DC. (See Part I here.)
“This is a happy day because it’s not often enough children are represented in this town,” Jolie said. “Their education and well being is an investment in our future.”
When asked about becoming more political or running for elective office, Jolie smiled and said, “I surely don’t think anybody here wants that. [My focus remains] in the field.”
“I feel very fortunate to have orphan children in my home,” added Jolie, who has three adopted children with partner Brad Pitt.

Okay, I’m not trying to start anything with you or anything like that. I just want to ask this, honestly, what do you want Brad to do? Should he sacrifice his life with Angie so he can gain back those fans he lost and be the ‘golden boy’ again in the eyes of the press? IMO, I have seen Angie beaten up and down and sideways so much by the press, both tabloid and mainstream media, that by comparison, Brad has had it easy.

Look I guess we can agree to disagree. It will be interesting to see who the photogs and fans scream for when they hit cannes and prague. Then you will see what I am trying to say. Even at the premiere of God Grew Tired Of US, the film where Brad was a producer, the cameras and media focused their screams and attention on Angelina. Did Brad not donate to this very group through the foundation? As a fan I know this, but the general public does not , he is an afterthought even with chairty projects that they donate together. He has been emasculted by the media by being with her, that is all I am saying.

“…..lost lots of fans”….then those fans are not true fans….those fans are only thinking about Brad as the “celebrity” that they idolize not the “real man” who also has inspirations…aspirations… and wishes to be happy, to be complete and be fulfilled…wishing for family and kids….those fickle fans are the worst fans because they are only thinking of what they want/demand from Brad….they are not thinking that Brad is also another human being like them that was not happy with his marriage…..
those fans are not Brad’s fans at all but fans of his X…..X epitomized their fairy tale dreams coz she caught and married Brad “Sexiest Man Alive” and when that dream collapsed….they turn to hate coz they are disappointed that the fairy tale prince left their fairy tale princess…those fans live in fairy land…..and no the wicked witch did not steal the fairy tale prince…he walks away with his own two feet…..and did not care about the disappointment/reaction from these so called fans because in reality these are not his true fans…they are fans of the fairy tale princess….

Hollywood will come on go. At the end of the day you go back to your family. Where are your values, interesting? Angie had a good day, please don’t mess it up by the unnecessary whinning. Brad says he’s the happiest he can be. Why don’t you honor his word if you are a fan of his?

They focus on Angelina becasue she’s a woman. Look at the entertaiment shows and tabloids, it’s all women. But the men, who are invisible most of the time with exception of premieres, breakups, etc… are really calling the shots. Brad may not be seen but he’s running shyyt. He’s a shot caller, a rising power broker. He’s musch older than Angelina also. Angelina is still in that under 40 demographic. Brad’s still handsome and all but there is a generation that sees him as a dad and does not know him by anything other than he divorced that Goldie Hawn wanna be chick.
Maybe Brad has finally found what interests him most in life. Maybe, just maybe Brad has found true happiness and satisfaction with the family he so clearly loves and prizes above all else. Maybe Brad is now a MAN, not someone known as a pretty boy in an extended boyhood.
MAYBE HE IS NOW A HELLACIOUSLY STRONG MAN WHO KNOWS EXACTLY WHO HE IS AND WHAT HE WANTS BEING LOVED UP AND EMPOWERED BY A HELLACIOUSLY STRONG WOMAN.

If what you are saying is true, then it proves my point that being with Angelina has emasculated him. Brad in his almost 2 decade career has never been invisible, but now since hooking up with her, that is what is happening. It will eventually have an effect on his career.
Johnny Depp is the same age as Brad, and is as popular as ever. George Clooney is older than Brad, and is as popular , more popular and respected by the press than Brad is. Is George Clooney doing more chairty wise than Brad, No.
There must be relief when you don’t have to be “camera ready” all the time. You can bet that Brad is looking all disheveled and loving it because it’s not about him anymore. All the attention goes to Angelina and the kids. Priorities shift. After being in the biz, you just don’t give a **** anymore. You are established. I must say that over the years Brad has looked hella crazy on the red carpet! He loves facial hair.

Thank you, keep preaching the gospel truth. Brad is 11 almost 12 years older than Angelina. He knows the hollywood scence, been there done that. Most people get tired of endlessly walking red carpets at every kind of stupid event at some point as one gets older. Notice the age of these “stars” who show up at every event in Hollywood, 20 somethings trying for fame, 30 somethings trying to grab the brass ring as quickly as possible, and 40 plus desperate somethings. Brad is a super nova, he is gold, he is smart and aware of where the true power in Hollywood resides, and that is where he has now positioned himself.

Public humilation? lmao, I am on a blog, just like you are. Anyway, as a fan all the information you posted , I already know about by visting websites (simply brad, bradforum, etc.) The general public are not aware of all his accomplishments, because of the way the media is focusing on Angelina. Is is it her fault? We will leave that for another conversation. All I was simply saying is what some fans seem to ignore, that Brad has become emasculated in the eyes of the press. The press has an affect on public opinion, and public opinion has an affect on careers. As a fan of Brad it saddens me . I guess Brad is also an afterthought to some of his fans now.
Can we change the topic now? I’m sensing it might be a long night with interesting, if we don’t. The most important message on the thread is the message of hope to children who would not have had a future or could be dead. Brad and Angelina have adopted three of those kids, they have donated $1 million to support others like Mad, Zee and Pax that are out there. I wish them happpiness and long life.
She is not wearing little or no make-up and looks absolutely gorgeous. She is a natural beauty.

ITAWY. Brad is loving looking like he looks now. He can wear his hats in peace, he can leave his home looking like he’s homeless without a dime in his pocket because the public’s attention is now shared with Angelina and the kids. People want to know what the kids are wearing, what purse Angelina is carrying, etc. He still dresses up for the necessary red carpets but he now has a contented private life away from the Hollywood scene.
