OlderAngelina Jolie @ GAC Launch — Part II
Here is your exclusive access to Board Member of Cambodian Health Committee and UN Goodwill Ambassador for High Commissioner for Refugees Angelina Jolie before the launch of “Global Action for Children” (GAC) on Thursday in Washington, DC. (See Part I here.)
“This is a happy day because it’s not often enough children are represented in this town,” Jolie said. “Their education and well being is an investment in our future.”
When asked about becoming more political or running for elective office, Jolie smiled and said, “I surely don’t think anybody here wants that. [My focus remains] in the field.”
“I feel very fortunate to have orphan children in my home,” added Jolie, who has three adopted children with partner Brad Pitt.

I think she went to NYC yesterday to maybe be interviewed by the
thinktank she has been nominated for-Council on Foreign Relations or something like that. Those nominated are to be voted on for membership and admitted if they get the necessary votes in June. Don’t know anything about her film whether it was to be shown at Tribeca or not.

These pics were taken today. Angelina flew out of Washington yesterday. So maybe Shiloh was in the hotel room while mommy was taking care of some business.

ITA. Also AMH is to open in a limited status, I think NYC and LA
only. She will be out of country in May and has to squeeze in all that she can now. For all we know it may be for fittings for clothes for her upcoming red carpet duties.

Gia is on OXYGEN now and she is skinny there….I recently saw Gone in 60 Seconds and she is even thinner than what is today. I couldn’t stand to look at it becasue her hair was blonde in that film and made her look jaundiced.
Alec baldwin went on a tirade against tabloid media today on The View. It was weird hearing it loudly like that on tv. He also said he did an investigation on Harvey Levin of TMZ and said he is not surprised that he has the profile of a tabloider. He wouldn’t go into any details. Good for him, but I still don’t like him. Now if only someone get get an investigation on Janice Min……
On Good Morning America Joel Seigel, film a critic this morning gave a summer preview of films. Regarding Angelina in AMH, the buzz is that “she is great”.
Re: the Time Poll. The poll has gotten into the hands of teens and tweens because there’s this Asian pop singer named Rain that has his fanbase all over the globe voting for him. Polls are right up teens alley, this a text meddaging for American Idol and calling 800 numbers. You can vote all you want for Brad & Angelina but don’t get upset that they con’t place high becasue you are not voting against haters but a wall of gum smacking, textmessaging, media & tech savvy teens.

What’s the title of her documentary film ? is this the one your expecting to be in the tribecca film festivals?
Do you know Angie & Brad movie premieres schedules? I think somebody had posted it before but I forgot to copy it.
The crusading superstar was in Washington to plead for more US funding for orphans and other children around the globe, and to open the headquarters of Global Action for Children, to which she and Brad have already given a million bucks.
The UN goddess obliged her fan, and signed the baseballs … making one more child a little happier.

I am no Christian fundamentalist. I think we are not on the same page. We might never agree to AGREE, but I respect your beliefs although I may disagree with some of them.
Let us just discuss ANGIE, BRAD and their good works like GAFC. I do not know which side of the fence you are in, as I just lurk occasionally here.

The Reeler noted over a month ago that Angelina Jolie was likely to screen her documentary A Moment in the World at this year’s festival, and it appears that likelihood is coming to fruition today. The Washington Post alludes to it in today’s paper, but the question is just where this would go down: I hear that the film is slated to appear this afternoon as part of a private program for students at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center; the original word was that Moment (known around the festival under the title Journey In) would be previewed for students today as part of a mini-fest at Bronx Preparatory Charter School — part of the Tribeca Teaches program that culminates in a community film and music event on Saturday. However, the list of today’s titles sent over to The Reeler reflect a different schedule altogether, and a source close to the festival sends late word that the screening is booked under the radar — i.e. no red carpet, no Jolie photo ops — at TPAC around 4 or 5 p.m.
Anyone know anything? Look me up.
