Fashion Faceoff: Christian Lacroix Gown
To the left, Kirsten Dunst makes a ruffled appearance during the European leg of her promotional tour in a Spring 2007 Haute Couture chiffon gown by Christian Lacroix. The 24-year-old actress was in attendance at the Stockholm premiere of Spider-Man 3 on Thursday.
To the right, Canadian supermodel Jessica Stam.
Who wears it best? KIRSTEN DUNST or THE RUNWAY MODEL?

THIS “DRESS” IS UGLY
That dress looked a bit funny on her…hehe. It didnt fit her!
the dress is definitely ugly but kirsten’s hair is even uglier and jess stam is gorgeous even in a paper bag.
KD can’t carry off a dress like that. Her figure does not suit the dress and the dress looks like crumpled pieces of mosquito netting that fell on her.
that is the kind of dress that is only meant to be worn by a model and never a real person…hideous on kirsten, almost like its not fitted properly on her, it has a more streamlined look on the model…maybe its because the belt is done slightly different and the way the skirt lays on kirsten…the dress is all over the place on kirsten, looks kind of sloppy…my vote is for the model

Kirsten ceratinly has the balls to wear soemthing like that but its still awful.
At least Kirsten Dunst has a chest of some sort, which is more than can be said for the model.
Man..that model WORKS that dress. It just looks too dowdy on Kirsten. She’s still a pretty lady though, so it’s all good for her!

Yeah.. That’s why Jessica is one of the current covergirls for US Vogue May 2007, with 9 other top models. Stammy reminds me of Linda Evangelista, because they both often changed their hairstyles. I don’t know any other top fashion model today that has gone through so much color and hairstyle changes. I think she looks best as a blonde.

The dress looks like crap — something you’d wear to a costume party, not to be taken seriously or make a fashion statement. Reminds me of the “Flappers”. This get up makes KD look like the “unmade bed” she always seems to look like. JS, likewise looks hideous in it because, as someone stated above, she has.no.breasts. And really, why take a feminine dress and turn it into a showcase for androgeny (in the case of JS)?
It looks better on the model, because she is taller than Kirsten.
Kirsten’s body looks overwhelmed by the dress–it’s too much dress for her smaller size frame.

If some of the dress layers were taken out and the dress was shorten slightly, I believe it would have look good on Kristen. The model won this round. That’s a hard dress to wear.
Not sure what happened to her but she isnt that appealing anymore. Dress looks like it was bought a resale shop.
The dress looks like a bad 80’s prom dress on Kirsten. Its not a nice dress in general, but atleast Stam can work it!

Dunst looks OLD in that main pic. At least 50 or so, which is ancient in comparison to how old she really is. Whether it is the makeup or the hairstyle or the lighting or whatever, she doesnt look good.
Snaggle pulls it off pretty well, but the top hangs better on Stam because she has no chest. What was Snaggle thinking with that hair??
Since Kiki doesn’t look good wearing ANYthing, it’s the model - hands down.
Jessica Stam looks like she could have looked the part of Mary Jane better.

that’s a seriously hard dress to pull off, i’m pretty impressed by both of them. kiki’s hair has definitely had better days… in general, la dunst’s totally taken this press tour as a chance to rock some awesome real fashion dresses. some have been misses, but she should get some big credit for breaking out of the blah typical of the other acresses her age.

Tough dress to pull off…but she balances the excess of the dress w/sleek hair & makeup…the color is divine on her. She clearly loves fashion and takes fashion chances…she looks (and has for the entire tour) like a movie star…Very Glamorous! At least she isn’t schlepping around the world in one dreary black dress after another….BORING!!!!

That dress is gorgeous on the model, it looks light and ethereal, but it looks big and dowdy on Kirsten. The dress on the left looks like a really bad knock off of the dress on the right.

I just don’t like this dress full-stop. The oversized puffy sleeves, the stupid blue pom-pom thing, ugh! Some couture dresses should just stay on the couture runways and never be worn in public
None! It’s the worst dress i’ve ever seen!
The dress is beautiful, in my opinion…. Kirsten can’t pull it off because she looks a but more informal, and also because her body is too wide for the neckline. It makes it ill fitted and looks silly…
