LMAO…to all of those who think they’re a hot couple or they are a hot topic. Do think Halle’s afraid of losing face after talking him up (total BS) and he doesn’t know what to do (since he has had a sudden jolt of fame, status, success,etc.). It will be interesting if he goes along with her baby plans–let’s see if anything materializes w/either her being pregnant or them adopting a child by the end of the year as well as seeing if any/all of her projects get off the ground and how long his restaurant stays open and how much longer they will be together. Not being a hater or doubting Thomas, just being real. Think the cold fish stage has already begun from what I have heard from my friends in LA–actually their relationship is a total joke in some circles as well as her failing career.
I have a question for the Halle-Gabriel lovers—what are you going to do if they really don’t stay together and have or adopt a kid together? Hopefully, they can be mature enough to be adults about this. Just being curious. Agree all of the long posts are a bit much.
JMO–don’t think Gabriel like #27 said could really give a **** about Halle’s career and does enjoy riding on her coat tails as long as he gets something out of the deal. Do think Halle is starting to or will soon wise up. My prediction is they will be through for good within the next 1-4 to 6 months, if that long. His restaurant will be closed by the end of 2008 or some time in early 2009 if he’s lucky if it’s not sooner. Halle’s career may still take a nose dive if she doesn’t get her projects out of the chute and loses her Revlon contract and doesn’t get a mentor and new manager or get someone who can give her good counsel before she even selfishly continues to have or adopt a child period whether or not Aubry is still part of the equation. Don’t think even though Halle has generally been known to be frugal with her money, don’t think when the work stops that Aubry is going to his share of the bills or daddy duty–think he’s really along for just the ride. Really don’t give a **** with what any of the HG lovers think of my post. It will be very interesting when the numbers of posts on JJ and other sites drop or stop.
I don’t really much like the long posts either (too hard to edit- ha), so I’ll break it down some.
#27, I will say it again: There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with a beautiful woman wanting a beautiful man in her life who will give her a beautiful baby. Frankly, I would be horrified if Halle Berry decided to mate with “Quasimoto.”
Also, if Halle likes being in control and Gabriel likes her strength and they get along well and treat each other right, more power to them. If it works and both of them are satisfied, then who are we to say they are wrong? Most couples consist of a stronger person and a more passive person. The man doesn’t always have to be the aggressive one, and Halle is not too controlling because she doesn’t have that kind of spirit and Gabriel happens to be equally gorgeous, so he is probably not intimidated by her.

You have a right to your opinion, but your opinion saddens me. You are excusing the cheater and blaming Halle for what Eric Benet and DJ chose to do. Benet’s words are the oldest excuse in the book. This is one of the reasons why so many black women aren’t getting monogamy in their relationships and are catching nasty diseases. They accept and excuse cheating behavior from the black man.

Everybody here has proven this is a hot topic. Some of you really don’t like Halle Berry and are fans of her exes, yet you continue to be enthralled with what she’s up to with this white guy.
Before Halle dated them, I never knew who a DJ or Eric Benet was. No lie. I knew who Shemar Moore was, of course, and I knew Ealy from “Barbershop” fame. Now, I couldn’t care less about any of them. I don’t look them up, care who they date/marry because I’m not a fan of theirs.
The last sentence of your quote is a common held belief that I have heard time and again coming from the mouths of black people. Many have a “deep-seated” idea that white men only want to USE black women or that it’s not possible for a white man to seriously fall in love with/be attracted to a black woman. That is such a false belief/stereotype until it isn’t funny. Yea, people believe that, yet they somehow believe it’s totally possible for white, Hispanic, Asian women to fall in love with black men. I guess black men are SO much more desirable than black women, huh? I don’t think so.
There is still plenty of racism in this world and black people must be careful, however, love is a mystery and it strikes under the strangest of circumstances.

If Halle and Gabriel break up, I will continue to support the woman. I’ll wish Gabriel well just like I do Halle’s other exes, but honestly, I’ll be interested in that fine man and curious to see what he does in his life. If Gabriel becomes a cheater or does something really terrible, it will detract from his beauty in my eyes. I won’t hate him, but he’ll be just like DJ and Benet.
There is no better combination than a gorgeous man who has integrity.

This is how it is for me.
I really like Halle Berry not only for her beauty, but as a person. I admire the way she’s had fantastic success in her career because of hard work and determination. I admire her classiness in the face of adversity. I also esteem her as a black woman for not tolerating cheating mates. I think she’s a pretty good role model for young black girls to want to emulate. There are many black women who want to have what she has.
With that said, since these topics are generally posted for people who are interested in these stars (in a positive way, I think), why should I sit back and allow the haters to get their way and dominate this board and bash Halle with unflattering posts?
Because I like Halle, why would I wish for negativity in her life? That would not make any sense. That’s how I know some people here don’t like her at all. I believe that some of the women were previously jealous of Halle because of her skin color, beauty and favor. Nonfamous beautiful, light-skinned black/biracial women face similar resentment. It’s a common problem. The jealousy was already present, and when Halle decided to date a white man, those same women just hate her even more. It’s like one more thing that Halle Berry has the “never” to do.
My belief is that the black men are overwhelmingly angry about the race thing. They loved Halle before, but when she went to the “other side,” it’s just unforgivable to them. I totally expected black men to be in an uproar the moment I learned about Halle dating Gabriel.
Haters see a manipulative Gabriel Aubry, but I don’t see it. I’m not just saying that to be contrary to them. I think that if Aubry ever wants out of this relationship, he will do the right thing and not “sneak” and humiliate Halle in public.
You can’t change people’s minds. I don’t expect the haters to start liking Halle Berry because of something I said. I really don’t. I just enjoy refuting their claims. I must show support as a fan.

To be honest, I think there are probably just one or two posters who are responding to me and HG, and yes, I believe they are black people by the content of what they post and the level of anger they are exhibiting. I don’t think most whites have that level of anger about “this” relationship because the main focus is on Halle Berry and she’s black. A lot of whites respect her anyway because they believe she is very decent, which she is. Many racist whites would be in an uproar if one of their main stars, say, Brad Pitt, started stepping out seriously with a black woman.
Also, these posters never take on a particular name; they continually change it up and call themselves names like,
“HE’S USING HER” “I DON’T SEE IT” “GABRIEL IS EVIL” “GET A LIFE” - (those aren’t the actual names, just names similar to what they would use.)

Let us pick apart all the other big stars and get a glimpse of their backgrounds, shall we? In any case, what kind of woman do you see today? That’s what is important. She has overcome many obstacles. That’s why Halle Berry is a good role model. On a good and positive note, I just opened an “In Touch” mag yesterday and saw 2 pics of Gabriel’s party given by Calvin Klein. There is a nice profile photo of Gabriel and Halle looking into each other’s eyes. They both look beautiful and happy. Gabriel looks like he could be thinking, “Wait till I get you home tonight!!!” Ha!
According to the mag, a guest at the party said, “You can see they’re really in love.”

I know for a fact that 20-21 out of 23-24 comments were from those 2-3 20/30’s somethings (who I know/ not friends) who are White who were posting all those posts last year playing a practical joke if you remember to get a charge out of posters like you, HalleGabriel, LOL3 and others to keep the numbers so JJ will keep posting things about Halle or Halle and Gabriel like you have said several times in the past you wish he would do. Why people have to be immature to do ? Is totally sick to me. They need to grow up and get a life. Sorry, if it caused you and any of the others any duress.
Yes, I am White and my comments were #5, #13 and #38/#39. So it looks like almost half of the comments are by Whites. Hopefully, this post will end their childish and immature and ignorant antics.

I can’t worry about who is behind the posts. When you are on these boards, you have to know that you could be reading posts from anybody and everybody.
I don’t care who posts. It doesn’t matter who they are — black, white, silly kids, racists, militants or anybody else. If these people “post” negative rhetoric on Halle Berry topics, I’m going to contradict them every time. When “nonregulars” pop in here (and they do from time to time, especially at the start of a new topic) to read or to make a little comment or two, they don’t need to read a pack of lies or somebody’s hocus-pocus tirades.
Also, for any of these folks to be that “into” returning to Halle Berry sites instead of going to the BAMZS topics, they must have “some kind” of interest in Halle Berry.
For example, look at post #46 and what it says. That is probably either a black person or a white racist. Either way, he/she is not just playing a joke. Who keeps stats like that? That’s deep.
Overall, Halle and Gabriel are a hot topic and I love it! If silly people want to keep arguing with me as a hoax, so be it. Bring it on! Either way, I am getting what I want. These posts do show interest in Halle and Gabriel and probably encourage JJ to keep us up to date.

Nothing wrong in defending them. Don’t know if you wish to go to the gossip blog sites to do so i.e. D-Listed, Defamer, Concreteloop, Bossip, etc. Other urban related sites and other blog sites have very few if any comments.

Think the haters will eventually get tired of posting an move on and quit razzing her/them or blaming him for why her movie isn’t doing well, etc. To the haters, she’d probably still be dating the guy even if the movie had been filmed in N.O., LA as originally scripted as the locale for the flick.
