David Beckham: The Million Dollar Man

David Beckham stretches and trains during his last few weeks with the Real Madrid soccer team. The footie pro has about half-dozen games left with them.

The Major League Soccers Union revealed [pdf] that Becks made $6.5 million in guaranteed annual income this year. The next spot in the league went to Chicago’s Mexican forward Cuauhtemoc Blanco ($2.7 million).

The Beckhams will be moving into their $22 million Beverly Hills “Beckingham Palace” this summer. A source tells Star, “Victoria [Beckham] has had calls from Tyra Banks and Demi Moore, as well as Catherine Zeta Jones, who wanted to show support for a fellow Brit.”

Demi and Catherine are duking it out to throw Posh her first “welcome to Lost Angeles Party,” says the insider.

don’t believe the hype. he is so DUMB and he sounds/ looks like a girl.
way to many balls to the head. he says Fink instead of THink. his accent is the equivalent to a new jersey one. common/ lower class british accent… not hot

His accent isn’t lower-class, it’s a sign of where he grew up - which was in a middle-class family in London. Ask any of us Brits who which accent we’d rather have - cockney or Queen’s English and I’m sure no-one would want to sound ‘upper-class’.

Beckhams accent is a typical London accent, if anything it one of the better east London accents as it isnt as thick as say Joe Coles or Frank Lampards. Hes beautiful! Real Madrid are really going to miss him, his right foot is irreplacable.
