Brad looks good, an ITA with some of you who said the hat is beginning to grow on us. Maybe the American Embassy trip had something to do with security issues in a foreign country or maybe for Pax. But, I think Pax is a US citizen now- or not??? Cant wait for Cannes- if they both show up together looking stunning- hell will break loose!!…BUT US bampzs will enjoy seeing so many pics:-)

I hope the family is alright and there is no emergecy of any kind that prompted him to go to the embassy.

I am so looking forward to the Cannes so I can see B&A together. I feel bad looking at pictures of them with their family coz I know my pleasure is their pain of having to endure paparazi chase all the time…

‘Ocean’s’ brings wave of publicity
After having to be happy with the occasional photo of Brad Pitt on his motorcycle or out to dinner in Prague, it looks like we’ll soon be seeing a lot more of him and some of his closest pals — thanks to Ocean’s Thirteen.

On May 22, Ocean’s producer Jerry Weintraub will throw a party in Cannes to help launch a new organization devoted to Darfur. Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon are expected at the film festival where the movie will premiere two days later (the complete screening schedule will be available tomorrow). Access Hollywood will be hosting its show from there for almost two weeks.

And Pitt will also be there with Angelina Jolie, as her new A Mighty Heart movie shows next Wednesday night. Then, on June 5, just before the June 8 release of Ocean’s, Clooney, Pitt, Damon and producer Jerry Weintraub will have their hand and footprints immortalized in cement at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in the morning and will be at a star-studded screening there later that night.

He could be going to the Embassy to ask for protection, but I doubt it. It’s more likely something to do with Pax’s adoption, or maybe some other kind of business, or possibly they just want to use the playground. I think it’s the private playground, myself.

As for Brad and Angie getting married, well I think that’s an issue that’s already been settled between them long ago. They are committed to each other and married in their hearts, so s c r e w the conventional ceremony BS. I don’t think they want any part of that, even if only to make adoptions easier. They go their own way.

What’s with the pics of the construction site? How is that related?

We had to run to the American Embassy in Paris after I discovered my daughter’s passport was expired the day before we left NYC! She exited the US as a French citizen, entered France as French, and we had to experdite her American passport so she would have it by the time we were coming home. I had forgotten that children’s passports have to be renewed every 5 years. It was mommy’s fault LOL.

One thing, at Paris American Embassy they wouldn’t allow any laptop into the compound, so my husband had to find a place to put his Mac. No store nor restraun would take it, so he ended up actually reserving a hotel room near by, so his laptop can stay there LOL! It was an expensive, but very nice hotel, thanks to his laptop :)

Oh, really who set the rules when you can take your child to daycare? Because I’m off every other Friday. My 2 year old is in home care and my 4 year old is in private school and they both go rather I’m off or not. They go because they have friends, they go because sticking to there routine is good for them, They go especially my 4 year old to learn. I’m sure Angie and Brad have ther own reasons. One could be Angie is suppose to be filming for a month. The kids are use to going to school, being around other kids, learning, it would be good for them to conitue to do so. I would think they would be excited especially since they are in another country . I can’t imagine the things they are learning especially Mad and Pax. Interaction with other kids is always a good thing rather the parents are working or not, it teaches kids social skills.

No doubt one of the US tabs will take this quote about shielding the kids from violence and write a huge story on how hypocritical it is to make violent movies, but shield your 1, 2, 3, and 5 year old from them. I imagine there are plenty of tabloid employees who don’t want THEIR kids knowing they lie and humiliate people for a living…but…there’s no fun in that story, now is there?

They must have causes they believe in. Angie and Brad, of course were mentioned as two true superstars and Angelina was said to be the biggest superstar in the world.

Another factor is that superstars dont comment on innuendo or gossip.. they dont try and correct gossip stories about them. they live above the frey. This makes other people admire them all the more.

I think he was totally shut down and miserable during the Troy shoot. Just because someone may have a healthy sexual appetite doesn’t mean they are out banging anything that moves. I think he was faithful, but really…. it’s obvious he was unhappy and unfulfilled in 2003, and I mean UNFULFILLED in every way, you know? It showed in his performance and all over his persona during that time. I can’t even watch Troy, because his own personal pain seems to come across…it’s painful to watch for me.

Jerry Weintraub remarked, “It was such a privilege to reunite with Steven Soderbergh and an amazing cast to make ‘Ocean’s Thirteen.’ I am very proud of the film, and I am excited about premiering the film in multiple cities across the country. However, the thing I am most proud of by far is that these events will benefit a cause that is very important to me and my colleagues.”
The events kick off in Hollywood, where stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon, and producer Jerry Weintraub, will make a strong “impression” at one of the town’s most famous landmarks. Surrounded by cheering fans and friends, the four will have their hand and footprints immortalized in cement in the famed forecourt of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. The Hand & Footprint Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, June 5, at 11:30 a.m., and footage of the event will be made available via a satellite feed (coordinates to follow separately).
This event will also mark Hollywood history. While it has become a rare honor for any Hollywood luminary to have his hand and footprints cemented for posterity at Grauman’s, the “Ocean’s” films’ producer and 50-year Hollywood veteran, Jerry Weintraub, has the distinction of being the first producer ever to be accorded that privilege.
Later that same evening, “Ocean’s Thirteen” will be presented in its North American premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, beginning with the screening at 7:00 p.m. Attending the screening will be the film’s star-studded cast, including Clooney, Pitt and Damon, in addition to Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Ellen Barkin, Al Pacino, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Eddie Jemison, Shaobo Qin, Carl Reiner and Elliott Gould. He’s the type of man Barbara Stanwyck described in The Lady Eve — someone who would take you by surprise.

Brad Pitt is deliciously good looking, but it’s good to know that he tries, whether professionally or personally, and delivers. I like that he can and does knock it out of park. I like that, after two years and the rigors of home life and caring for small children, he can look at the woman who is in the trenches with him, and get his Mack on. And I love that despite any frustrations she may feel during the course of a day, she’s still receptive to the Mack.

OKAY, Pittwatch.com is pro Brad, Angie and family. BradPittwatch is something else that I have not seen before until today. The picture they showed is from “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” Pittwatch.com is a reputable site with positive comments about Brad, Angie and kids. I actually like that site headed by Sherry. All the trash and negative stories can also be written by some people who want to get more hits on their blog. Actually, PerezHilton is pro Angie and Laineygossip.com is also pro Angie and Brad. Just read anything about them with an open mind and truthfully most of Brad and Angie’s fans (including myself) are very smart anyway. We do not believe everything we read especially those supermarket tabs. I give everybody here a lot of credit for the knowledge about them though, from links, research on interviews, past and recent quotes, etc. Thank you folks for your clarification and the links. It has been less than a year since he bought a house in the French Quarter, but Brad Pitt already knows what it means to miss New Orleans.
Since leaving town to join Angelina Jolie on the Czechoslovakia set of her new movie, “Wanted,” Pitt said that he has regrettably slid, once again, under the celebrity magnifying glass.

BRAD PITT”Let me tell you, we’re in this house in Prague right now and there’s about 12 cars of paparazzi outside and some tourists with video cameras,” Pitt said Wednesday in a phone interview. “I can’t describe why were allowed to live a more normal life (in New Orleans).”

The thing he misses the most, he said, is bicycling through the streets of New Orleans at night.

“Living in the French Quarter is a thrill for us,” he said. “We have some semblance of real family life. People have been very, very gracious with us. If we’re on the front deck, people go by and say, ‘Hi.’ Then they go on their way, very friendly.”
Pitt visited New Orleans in the early 1990s during the filming of “Interview with a Vampire” and took up semi-permanent residence early this year while filming “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.”

He said that he has been impressed with the city’s never-say-die post-Katrina spirit, especially in the hardest hit areas.

“For me, first as a tourist, it’s the most unique city that we have in the States,” he said. “It has an energy like no other place. You guys shouldn’t change a thing. I’ve got to get me some of it. I absolutely love it there. We moved our family there. We’ve got a place there and we’re intermittently going back and forth. We’re in Prague now because of work. We’ll be back there soon.”

“Button,” which he described as “a love letter to New Orleans,” likely won’t be released until the second half of 2008. But Pitt promises, “It’ll be worth the wait. I think it’s got real merit as a film. It’s a beautiful film — and I am not one to sell a film. I’m not a salesman in any way. I am the most disgruntled viewer in cinematic history. But what I’ve seen is really special.”

Yes!!! Brad’s interview after various months. I can’t wait to read it and learn the news about the Global Green Project. Brad said similar things when they returned from Namibia. He was just announcing the NOLA project then. He said that about 20 photographers and a chopper are running around their house. They where still in Malibu.

Angie also said that there is no place better for them like NOLA in her resent Newsweek interview about her mission in Chad. She said that she loves the people
there and their education and that is a great place for children. I’m glad that they are going back and forth to their house there. They seem to really love it.

Shiloh was planned (look for the haterz to foam at the mouth) because Brad wanted a baby and Angelina did not waste any time making his dream a reality. Sounds as if Zahara will get someone in the family who looks like her. Let’s see that makes five, and then Shiloh gets someone who looks like her, an even six little Jolie-Pittlettes.

So totally agree. They are two different people, Angelina’s ALWAYS BEEN OPEN and upfront, and Brad always was mum about his private life. Just because they are together doesn’t mean they have to morph into each other. They are maintaining their individuality, what is wrong with that? I seem to remember all the caterwauling that Brad was beginning to look like Angelina with her “dark ways” … but if they maintain their individuality, then they get criticized as soundly.

Sigh, I am just glad they live their lives in their own way, without paying the least bit of attention to anybody else. So refreshing, since so many of these celebs live their lives wanting to always win public approval, and wouldn’t do anything, even it is the right thing to do, if there is danger of misperception.

Angelina on getting together with Brad: I met this amazing person, and we realized we had very similar views on how we wanted to live our lives. It’s happened so quickly, with so many children. Yesterday, picking up the kids from school, Brad turned around in the car, and there were the three of them. He couldn’t stop laughing. We love them and are having a great time.

Having Shiloh was actually planned: Before I met Brad, I always said I was happy never to have a child biologically. He told me he hadn’t given up on that thought. Then, a few months after Z came home, I saw Brad with her and Mad, and I realized how much he loved them, and a biological child would not in any way be a threat. So I said, ‘I want to try.’

Pax loves his newfound freedom: Pax is almost three and a half and has never made a real decision for himself because everybody does everything in a group in the orphanage. There were all these things he’d never had. The first time I gave him a bath, he was suddenly laughing, out of his mind. He took five baths in one day. We’d be talking and he’d take his clothes off and run into the bathroom.

How is Pax adjusting to his new life?: The first two days, he cried a lot. I hired a translator, and he would explain what was going on. The first night, I slept alone with him. I was expecting him to wake up and scream, but he woke and just stared at me. I handed him a stuffed animal, and we walked around the room pointing at things. By day three, he didn’t want me to put him down. I think he got used to the reality that somebody loves you and that’s what a mommy is.

Don’t worry, each of the Jolie-Pitt kids have their own special time with mommy and daddy: We had a long talk with Mad about the fact that his brother is going to be scared and that Mommy is going to have to give him attention. Then we’ve tried to figure out a lot of private time for each of them. When everybody goes to bed, we give Mad time. When everybody is at school, we give Shiloh time. In between, Z and Pax each get special time. And on Sundays, we have a big family sleep, when the boys get in bed with us and we watch a movie. It started with Mad, then Pax, and now Z is desperate to move into the bed. We’re talking about having to build a bigger bed!

Brad makes everyone feel safe: I think Pax, after seeing how much Zahara and Mad and Shi love Brad, understands that he’s his daddy. Everybody seems to be safe in his arms. He makes everybody laugh. He helps everybody.

It is true that they adopted Pax so Maddox would have a brother who looked like him: Something changed for me with Shiloh. We had Mad and Z, and neither looked like Mommy or Daddy. Then suddenly somebody in the house looks like Mommy and Daddy. It became clear to us that it might be important to have somebody around who is similar to the other children so they have a connection. Mad’s been very excited that his brother is from Asia.

Who’s the disciplinarian in the family?: When it comes to the boys, it’s Brad, and with the girls, it’s me. It’s not intentional, but Z can pretty much get anything she wants from her dad. Brad’s like a strong father with the boys.

Angelina knows what kind of legacy she wants to leave as a mother: I don’t do drugs. I don’t intentionally ride a motorcycle without a helmet. I will always be careful. But I live a bold life, and I’m a happy mother because of that. I think the bigger question is, ‘Am I living the life that I want my kids to see?’ If something happened to me doing something I believed in, then I suppose that’s the legacy I would leave as a mother.

On filming the movie, A Mighty Heart, while pregnant: When we worked on the script, I was six months pregnant. Mariane [Pearl] sat with me and held my hand and told me what was happening to her when she was six months pregnant. I thought, ‘My God, I know what I’m feeling right now and I can’t imagine handling that. It was so important for me to have my family and Brad with me at the time, and to understand it’s that life — Adam, Mariane’s child — that clearly pulled her through.

Amongst the chaos, how does Angelina and Brad spend quiet, alone time with each other?: Right now, that’s our problem! We hang out. We try to talk over the swing set. We’ll have a date night once everybody is settled. Pax still gets scared if I’m gone for more than a few hours. But we’ll get them occupied with a movie and popcorn and try to run off and lock the door for a bit.

With all the gossip about them, does it ever get to them?: Our first question is what paper is it in. The New York Times? If not, do we really need to worry?

There’s no conspiracy to why the couple doesn’t feel the need to get married: We’ve both been married before. Our focus when we got together was family, and we are legally bound to our children. That really seems to be the most important thing.

Thanks for posting the full Reader’s Digest Interview. Great interview. Both BP and AJ , through the their interviews, are showing how deeply in love they are with each other and with their children. AJ is a great mom who is aware of the needs of each of her children. She is open and honest and realizes that being a Mom is more than giving “pat” answers that the world wants to hear but being realistic about juggling time and the needs of each child. Those children are really blessed and BP and AJ are blessed to have them in their lives. Thanks for all the articles. Pax seems to have bonded well with the family. That Reader’s Digest interview is now my favorite Angie interview. I loved it and I loved how she really expresses herself, no b*lls*t.
