OlderAngelina Jolie: Reader’s Digest Interview
Angelina Jolie goes face-to-face with Reader’s Digest in their June 2007 issue, opening up about her sexy partner, four adorable kids, and a family going global. Here are a few of the highlights:
Is it true that you adopted Pax so Maddox would have a brother who looked like him? Something changed for me with Shiloh. We had Mad and Z, and neither looked like Mommy or Daddy. Then suddenly somebody in the house looked like Mommy and Daddy. It became clear to us that it might be important to have somebody around who is similar to the other children so they have a connection. Mad’s been very excited that his brother is from Asia.
Is adopting a toddler different? Pax is almost three and a half and has never made a real decision for himself because everybody does everything in a group in the orphanage. There were all these things he’d never had. The first time I gave him a bath, he was suddenly laughing, out of his mind. He took five baths in one day. We’d be talking and he’d take his clothes off and run into the bathroom.
Do you and Brad ever have a conflict or a fight? Not really. We’ll get into issues about global events or something that was just on the news.
The gossip is unrelenting. You’re fighting, you’re jealous, he’s going back to Jennifer. Does it get to you? Our first question is what paper is it in. The New York Times? If not, do we really need to worry?
Do you want more children? Yeah, yeah. More biological, more adopted.

I don’t like them, but I accept that they are a couple with a family. They’re trying to raise their children like everybody else.

Yesterday, picking up the kids from school, Brad turned around in the car, and there were three of them. He couldn’t stop laughing. We love them and are having a great time. ”

if you actually listen to the interview, the voice that’s supposed to be Angelina does NOT sound like her AT ALL!! Angelina’s voice is much deeper than the woman in the interview. The woman in the interview has this southern accent that Angelina does NOT have AT ALL! Listen to it and hear it for yourself!!

Island girl, ITAWU I think it was a wonderful interview, she answered the questions straight foward and honest like always. I also believe from what I have read that she’s in a good place in her life and truly in love with BP and loved in return. I wish their whole family much blessings and happiness, I have no doubt that this interview will be disected and distorted by the haters, but u know what, I’ve learned that living well and happy is the best revenge and everytime they distort and lie to make X look better she along with the tabs and her fans come out looking more stupid and unhappy as ever. Thanks Jared for posting the interview. Readers’ Digest has always been my favorite magazine to read, because my Mom loved it and subscribed to it. It is so popular all over the world, so hopefully Angie’s interview will be read by millions around the world, so that they would realize even more so what a compelling, compassionate woman she is.

I agree. I know I’ve written previously that tablies have paid trolls on here and I think people should believe me. I believe its called astroturfing. I don’t believe the astroturfing will stop on Monday though. I don’t believe that paid trolls are drumming discussions to sell her ideas/articles to the tabloid. I believe that she is pushing/promoting the tablies line. However, it could be I am wrong and you are right.
(And I believe I’ve managed to say “I” at least once in every sentence I’ve written even though this paragraph isn’t about me, which might say something psychologically meaningful about me”:))

My favorite part of the interview is. Well I LOVE the whole interview but this part I love. They are just wonderful together and complement each other.
RD: Is that true with you and Brad? It didn’t seem he had the passion to do the humanitarian work before you.
Jolie: I discovered a man who’s extremely thoughtful, intelligent and invested in many issues. He’s just more quiet in his way. I think that’s the reason I love him. If I’m curious about something, I put my boots on and I’ll go tomorrow. I’ve been too outspoken. He’s the person who methodically figures out what he believes in and how he’s going to handle something, then does it seamlessly.
