Angelina Jolie goes face-to-face with Reader’s Digest in their June 2007 issue, opening up about her sexy partner, four adorable kids, and a family going global. Here are a few of the highlights:
Is it true that you adopted Pax so Maddox would have a brother who looked like him? Something changed for me with Shiloh. We had Mad and Z, and neither looked like Mommy or Daddy. Then suddenly somebody in the house looked like Mommy and Daddy. It became clear to us that it might be important to have somebody around who is similar to the other children so they have a connection. Mad’s been very excited that his brother is from Asia.
Is adopting a toddler different? Pax is almost three and a half and has never made a real decision for himself because everybody does everything in a group in the orphanage. There were all these things he’d never had. The first time I gave him a bath, he was suddenly laughing, out of his mind. He took five baths in one day. We’d be talking and he’d take his clothes off and run into the bathroom.
Do you and Brad ever have a conflict or a fight? Not really. We’ll get into issues about global events or something that was just on the news.
The gossip is unrelenting. You’re fighting, you’re jealous, he’s going back to Jennifer. Does it get to you? Our first question is what paper is it in. The New York Times? If not, do we really need to worry?
Do you want more children? Yeah, yeah. More biological, more adopted.

What the hell are you talking about?
Lovely woman and some great sentiments expressed in this interview. I think what she and Brad have *works* so why “rain on their parade”? They are providing a good home for these children and opportunities they may not otherwise have. With so many stories in the news of child abuse these days, why can you naysayers not underscore this fact as opposed to try and place the focus on problems from her past which she has obviously transcended?
Good interview all around. The interviewer posed just the right amount of softball questions. Angie was quite frank and thoughtful. She’s growing into a nice, worthy woman. And Brad…my goodness, what an absolute complete package from how Angie describes him! He’s every woman’s dream. He knows exactly what he wants and he wants Angie, their children and above all, he wants to do right by them. Many of us seek a lifetime for what Brad and Angie have.
#20, Terry…I think you are just so sad. To be so determined to bring that pointless, assinine crap up once again in the light of all the goodness and kindness these two fine people generate is a personal tragedy for you.

I think that is what touches me about the interview the most. They seem all about making each other happy, fullfilling each other and supporting each other. I love that she is sexy to him when she is reading, educating herself. He isn’t threatened by that, in fact he seems to encourage it.

My God, she is so insane and she appears to have made him insane. I personally think she’s at her most sexy when she’s french-kissing her brother while cutting herself with a knife and carrying around a vial of someone else’s blood. After she cleans up, she can steal someone else’s husband.
