Angelina Jolie goes face-to-face with Reader’s Digest in their June 2007 issue, opening up about her sexy partner, four adorable kids, and a family going global. Here are a few of the highlights:
Is it true that you adopted Pax so Maddox would have a brother who looked like him? Something changed for me with Shiloh. We had Mad and Z, and neither looked like Mommy or Daddy. Then suddenly somebody in the house looked like Mommy and Daddy. It became clear to us that it might be important to have somebody around who is similar to the other children so they have a connection. Mad’s been very excited that his brother is from Asia.
Is adopting a toddler different? Pax is almost three and a half and has never made a real decision for himself because everybody does everything in a group in the orphanage. There were all these things he’d never had. The first time I gave him a bath, he was suddenly laughing, out of his mind. He took five baths in one day. We’d be talking and he’d take his clothes off and run into the bathroom.
Do you and Brad ever have a conflict or a fight? Not really. We’ll get into issues about global events or something that was just on the news.
The gossip is unrelenting. You’re fighting, you’re jealous, he’s going back to Jennifer. Does it get to you? Our first question is what paper is it in. The New York Times? If not, do we really need to worry?
Do you want more children? Yeah, yeah. More biological, more adopted.

Brad and Mad
I hate to bring in gossip but I can’t help but say this about hte article she has posted on her blog. She says Angie is trying to sell this story about he happy family thing. I truly and honestly believe that she loves this man and her family. The only thing I disagree on is that they don’t argue, but she didn’t say they didn’t she said “not really.” That means that they do not argue extensively.Of course they argue about things every couple does but she is not going into depth about what,so she narrowed it down to political issues. The other is a bit private. I know she goes bullistic about that thing he was married to lying about everything and creating landslides of bad press about her. She is also aware of what the tabs write. She was indeed being sarcastic about the NYT and their all time low of repeating rumors that they found in a rag mag,them being reputable and all. What I do find somewhat extreme is that Brad is all that. I think she is just so on love she doesn’t see his faults right now.That happens. I also think they both are afraid to get married again. It’s like vodoo to them. There is no way she will talk about him in the manner she has about her relationships in the past because she had grown into a lady and she wants to keep some things private. That’s what we want,intimate details and she teases us once in a while with a little, info just enough to get people’s attention. True to her fashion she likes the thrill. She probaly takes joy in pissing of some people about her relationship with Brad. I would because of the hate they have for her for no reason at all. The more they talk she will continue to givethem something to talk about. If she gives him another bio baby they will have a coronary. The intentional pregnancy admission gave them heart palpitations it’s sick. In months she gave him what JA couldn’t in 7 years. Get it right.

What a stupid comment for her to stay, about the kids needing a face they can look at represent themselves? My niece and nephew don’t look like their bio parents, does that mean they should search the world for someone who looks like them to adopt? She claims she doesn’t like ppl saying her ‘adoptive children’, like it proves they are different. She does enough of that herself.
The fans are so funny, b/c she didn’t go into detail that they do fight .. means they don’t? Do you honestly think she would share that with anyone? Let’s be honest too, they are in the honeymoon phase (2 years) so let’s hope there is no real fighting, if so Rut row fans.
I am all more convinced she trapped him w/that bio child, b/c he loved her kids he gets a bio child like it is reward and recognition program. Wonder what kind of good deed Brad has to do to get some adult playtime. She needs some head work instead of filling her voids with children.

Great interview. I just had to laugh about Pax running for yet another bath! How could anyone picture that tiny incident and not realize the huge difference the JPs have made in this young life.
As to the audio - it sure sounded to me like it was done on the phone.

My girl friend and I have always maintained that Shiloh was planned. We said as soon as his divorce was final, was it in August or September help me with the dates, they threw the pills away and went at it like bunnies. They waited which should make those who say she got pregnant while he was still married really unhappy. Not only was Shiloh wanted, they showed respect and restraint to x who showed no respect to them. They are a couple who care for others feelings, even if that caring is not deserved.
Listened to her interview. Angie is very thoughtful when speaking. She conveys a depth and warmth that is not usually seen or heard in HW. These are good people trying to be better. Let’s not even dignify the haters on this thread. There is just too much goodness going on here. Can Readers Digest be purchased at the newstand? I have never seen one, but then I wasn’t looking either
