Kate Walsh: ‘Private Practice’ Gets Green Light?
Kate Walsh visits a local pharmacy with a gal pal before going to get her hair did at the Chris McMillan Salon in Beverly Hills on Thursday.
Did her Grey’s Anatomy spin-off series, tentatively titled Private Practice, get the green light?
Kate was a guest on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Thursday, where Ellen called up ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson for an answer.
His bemused but optimistic response: “I think she is in pretty good shape.” Watch the video below –

Reading the first review of last night’s Grey’s episode she better run, not look back and take Callie and Bailey with her… It’s even more abrasive then the worst spinnoff review.
S. where did you find the reviews? I really and trying to stay “in love” with Greys, but Shonda is making it hard this season. She is taking my favorite character away and what is with killing everyone off? And I am not talking about the patients! They all seem to do as expected. I am talking about all the regulars that die or “almost” die. It is getting kinda stooopid.
I Love Kate Walsh! I can not wait for the spin-off. I am sick of the depressing Grey’s.

Last night’s numbers are out! Grey’s is still #1 but overall worse than lats week with the spinoff …

Brilliant for Kate! She rocks! Grey’s will not be the same, but i’d follow Kate to anything, even if she took up a job at Times Square McDonald’s I’d follow her there cuz she’s so crazily talented! Good on ABC for giving her a shot at her own show!

I don’t think she’s a good enough actress to have her own series.
And I don’t like her on Greys because no way would an ex wife stick
around the workplace. The show is losing it’s grip on reality.
the spin off was HORRIBLE.. there just a bunch of sex cliches thrown around everywhere.. i don’t know why the writers feel a show has to talk 24/7 about sex just to generate viewers..

I love Kate but love her more on GA with the other characters. Still, girl’s got her own show…of course I’m gonna watch! She’s wonderful whatever she does. Go Kate!
The pilot wasn’t perfect by any means - but that’s exactly what it was - A PILOT !!
It’s bound to be tweaked to take it to a full season.
And KATE rules !! I’d rather watch a whole hour of Kate each week than the dross that Greys is quickly becoming.
Kate Walsh is an amazonian beauty!
Hope her show does well.
