The Pitt Gait

What makes Brad Pitt Brad Pitt? It’s not only the looks, it’s a package, you know? Like the way he talks, as if there’s always something in his mouth… not in a gross way but in a way that suggests he’s trying to hide that there’s something in his mouth and is just so cool he can get away with it.

And his hands. I have a thing about his hands. He uses his hands well, he points well, he understands that his hands are accessories… so even when he’s posing, he’s aware of the position of his hands, like magnets coordinated with his eyes…VERY seductive.

And finally, his pants. Brad Pitt wears a pair of pants. They don’t bunch, they don’t stretch, they hang beautifully off of his beautifully shaped ass and they compliment his gait. Brad Pitt has great gait, never looks awkward in stride, and even though there’s a little bow leg action goin’ on, I must confess, I like a little bow leg action. It is kinda weird to see all those kids hanging around to see Maddox, but he may as well get used to it this will happen for the rest of his life. In a way it’s a sad thought but I think he will use this celebrity to his advantage and direct the world to humanitarian causes like Angie does.

I hate adultery, but like Francophile said, it happens every day. When BP left Aniston, I felt bad for her for a while, but now that I see what he’s gone on to do in his life and how he is building a beautiful family, I got over it.

This is a plea to everyone else who felt as I did to get over it too. What is sad is when a marriage or family is destroyed “for nothing” such as when a married man leaves to be with another woman, destroying his wife and kids and then wants to return later when he sees the grass isn’t that green, but it’s too late. There was too much hurt to put it back into a nice little package… that’s what I call sad.

Jolie: When it comes to the boys, it’s Brad, and with the girls, it’s me. It’s not intentional, but Z can pretty much get anything she wants from her dad. Brad’s like a strong father with the boys.

RD: You’ve said that A Mighty Heart is also a love story. Did Danny and Mariane Pearl’s partnership have parallels to yours with Brad?
Jolie: They are what we strive to be. They met with a common goal that was so noble. They dedicated their lives to studying other cultures and trying to make a better world through honest journalism. They clearly set each other on fire to do really wonderful things in the world.

RD: Is that true with you and Brad? It didn’t seem he had the passion to do the humanitarian work before you.
Jolie: I discovered a man who’s extremely thoughtful, intelligent and invested in many issues. He’s just more quiet in his way. I think that’s the reason I love him. If I’m curious about something, I put my boots on and I’ll go tomorrow. I’ve been too outspoken. He’s the person who methodically figures out what he believes in and how he’s going to handle something, then does it seamlessly.

RD: You said you wanted a partner who would urge you to be better. Does Brad do that?
Jolie: He encourages the right things. If I’ve had a full day and just really been a hands-on mom, he’ll make a point to let me know that’s something he’s proud of. If I’m writing an Op-Ed, he’s the first person to want to read the drafts. I could be dressed up in the sexiest outfit for a photo shoot, and by his behavior, he’ll let me know that’s nice, but it’s nothing as sexy as when I’m home surrounded by the kids or reading books, educating myself. He slows me down to kind of get it right, to relax into the strength of my family and the love.

I’m a professional musician, so I was actually torn even more whether to subject my kids to what I went through. I started piano at 3 and violin at 5. So when my daughter turned 5 I took her to a group lesson called Dalcroze; it’s a specialized musical education developped in Europe for kids that I heard a lot about and thought it might be good for my daughter. I don’t know if you saw my eariler posts (year ago or so…) but my daughter was diagnosed with PDD, a spectrum of disorder which includes Asperger and Autism. She goes to an integrated special ed kindergarten which has been WONDERFUL and she is progressing beautifully. One of the upside (or downside) is her communication skill, which she is working on it now. So back to Dalcroze–the teachers are quite a believers, almost like a kind of ’sect’. They firmly believe this is the right method and devoted. My daughter being herself, who is blatantly honest to a fault, just didn’t mesh with the teacher. One day (actually the last day eligible for a full-refund) everyone was sitting in a circle and pointing to their nose saying their names in rhythm. My daughter said loudly: “MOMMY, This is SILLY!!”. Red-faced, I decided to pull her out of the class :)

Anyway now she studies privately with a piano teacher who is an old friend of mine from highschool conservatory. It’s amazing several of us ended up in NYC :) and she and I have been developing a special way–more visual way– to teach my daughter who is flourishing. I think all kids have their own speed and way to learn, and us parents just have to find what that is….

Well, it’s not just the actual cost that we are concerned. Although my kids have FOUR nationalities, it is likely they will live in the USA, then what does it mean to be culturally French in NYC? Or will they live in France… My husband believe in firm elementary education in France and he is extremely worried about that in the USA. He however believes that USA is the best for university education (he came here for PhD). He reads to my kids in French, and after some resistance (”daddy, SPEAK ENGLISH!”) they usually switch after 5 minutes. We go to France every summer, and last summer we put the kids for 22 days of full immersion at grandparents’ without me. They were fluent by the time we left, but now it’s gone again. We have to keep doing it. I’m so glad your daughter is in international school—I definitely think language skill is such a resource that you and Jolie-Pitts are doing such a great job. My son is September-born that means he doesn’t go to Kindergarten next fall–I’m still confused about this P.S. vs private school, age-month thing…

Thanks for all the pictures Jared. Brad and Angelina are my favorite celebrity couple and wish them all the best. However, I do agree with robin, in that all these stupid polls that Hello, People,US Weekly or any other website have on their sites are not an indication of their popularity or lack thereof. Most websites do it because they want to attract viewers and they know that Brad and Angelina names are very attention-grabbing.Plus, Angie and Brad won’t win them all and that’s okay too. It makes the times they win a lot more special that way.

Don’t worry about the haters. They can accuse us all they want of being part of a cult and having no life since we’re talking about celebs, but at least that amount of daily energy we spend on celebs, we do it out of love for two people we admire and that makes us happy. Angelina Jolie not too long ago stated she wanted to be a stay at home mom for awhile. They bought a house in New Orleans, registered the two younger children for school and supposedly were settling into a “normal” family routine to give stability to the children. Well it seems that she has forgotten her own words. They are again running around the globe, uprooting their children, taking them out of school and creating confusion and instability. It is nice that they want to save the children of the world…but they should start with their own family by being responsible parents. The problem with celebrities is that they have a constant craving for attention to feed their egos. Those type of people always put themselves before anyone else…including their own children. If she needs to globe trot continuously and wants to make film after film she should have thought things through more carefully before deciding to adopt so many children! All this “excessive” globe trotting is probably frowned upon with child protective services. It’s supposed to be what’s in the best interest of the child not the parents. SAD!

MF, how are you? Kept voting at two computers one for Brad, the other one for Angie. Like ,1,2,3 left, 1,2,3, right and again..Hahaha.

I love the Jolie-Pitts, but I agree with few fans who said who cares if Angie and Brad win some stupid poll or not. We are the people who say they tabloids are crap and who cares what they print, they get it WRONG anyway most of the time. But by showing that we CARE about their stupid polls, only lends credibility to their stupid polls. People an hello are probably the only magazines that say good things about them, but they are tabloids anyway. Even if they print Angie pic as a winner they will have a made up story to go with it and who wants to read more lies!!Let them get a respite from a Tabloid cover for one week at least?????Let Bon Jovi grace the cover and we will see how much they sell that magazine. LOL. Peace

Well, I don’t really care about polls either way except I like the ones that are not internet based as they give a better representation of people’s opinion. But, I think some people are having fun voting just to piss off the trolls and if so, anything that pisses them off is good in my book. :)

To all PerezH who make negative comments to Brad and Angie:
I just want to remind everybody not to live in the past. The past meaning when Angie was 19. She will be 32 years old in June. She is Brad’s partner, a U.N. goodwill ambassador, an Oscar winner and a mother of 4 beautiful kids. Will it kill you if Brad and Angie are happy? Will it freak you out that it has been two years since Brad signed his divorce papers? The past is gone and Brad had moved on big time. Let go of it. He is in love with the mother of his children. Set him free. If you are not a fan, then find someone else to idolize instead of saying hurtful words to him and his new life. He does not owe you anything. He is with Angie now, not with Juliet Lewis, not with Gweneth P. not with Jennifer Aniston. LIVE WITH IT. MOVE ON.
