Kelly Clarkson “My December” Album Cover

Kelly Clarkson’s album cover from her forthcoming My December has arrived.

The release of her “harder edge” third album has been pushed up to June 26th. The LA Times has already reviewed My December.

Here’s a snippet:

“My December” is all about Clarkson’s voice — and not only the succulent, slightly dark timbre of her alto, or her ability to nail those shirt-ripping high notes that say “freedom” in rock ‘n’ roll speak. The lyrics, many inspired by a bout of despair Clarkson suffered at the height of her newfound fame, are genuinely heart-baring.

Is that her on the cover? It looks nothing like her. I like the cover it reminds me the cover of Nora Jones’ album cover (I can’t think of the name).

Oops, I meant Norah Jones’ album with the dress flared out. The more I look at the picture and the more I like its Gothic look.

I think it would look a hell lot better if she was facing straight forward and looking into the camera….total disconnection with the cover. Nice idea but its just….disconnected, distant…I don’t like it…hopefully it will grow on me because I will be buying it.

it that the cover….. well… it’s so amazing how kelly had a great album cover after breakaway…. expressing the other side of her as a rock star that noone had ever imagined she will greatly be…. this will surely make you love and idolize her so much…. go kelly….. way to go….

For those who say it’s not her, it’s definitely her, why should they put another woman in her cover of her cd? by the way a cd that was made the way she wanted, so i seriously doubt that she wouldn’t be on the cover, this cd was made on her terms.
For those who say that it’s better if she would face the camera cuz it looks disconnected the way it is, i think that’s the whole point on this cover, to be disconnected or distant, cuz this cd it’s about the pain and desolutions she has suffer, that’s why she looks disconnected (it’s like to say she doesn’t deserves that pain) it’ like she’s dessapointed or something

I don’t know what I think about this cover….a little darker than I expected….though I LUV Kelly Clarkson. I am obsessed. I have heard a few songs off of her new album on the Addicted tour and “Maybe” is so amazing, especially live. You guys should totally youtube it. It did remind me of Amy Lee a little, but I think that it is awesome that Kelly is really forming her own persona in Hollywood versus what everyone at the record label wanted.

OMG. It’s not kelly but I REALLY love it. It’s a darker side to her but it’s GREAT. I can’t wait to her new cd comes out.

I think the cover shows a lot about the mood of the albulm, rock and edgy. And it is Kelly on the cover; look at her complextion. I totally love this cover and I can’t wait for the CD!!!!

Okay, so, here’s what’s going on.
Many people think that this isn’t Kelly on the cover! I assure you, it is. Yeah, her hair is short now. She wears a new and helpful invention called…extensions.
And for those of you who say she is not slim, well, she is just another girl who is protecting Hollywood from it’s anorexic supermodels and actors. Hollywood is well over obsessed with being skinny, and making fun of this normal sized person isn’t going to cut it. KC is a great person, who may be, to you, overweight, but to many others, she’s a great person. She’s an icon. It’s not like she’s going to become a cannibal, or eat 50 hotdogs for breakfast. She was a someone who became more of a someone. Her body without the fat didn’t become the superstar. I believe the whole package did.
