OlderJude Law Kicks Off Cannes Film Festival
Jude Law opens the 60th Cannes Film Festival Wednesday with the New York-California road trip tale directed by Wong Kar Wai. This film will mark the acting debut of Norah Jones. Co-stars Natalie Portman and Rachel Weisz did not make it to the kick-off.
“I remember the first take we did, my voice was really [squeaks] high,” Norah told The Associated Press. “I was just terribly nervous, and Kar-wai came over and patted me on the back and I relaxed a little.”
Kar-Wai was impressed with Norah’s acting abilities: “We rolled the camera and she cried, and after that I said, ‘well, it’s great,’ and she said, ‘do you want one more?’”

I can’t wait to see Norah Jones on the screen. She’s such a talent musically and she’s lovely. As she gets older her Indian side is coming through more and more. I hope she did well with her screen debut.

I think only Jude and Norah was asked to open the press screenings so Rachel and Natalie might be on the red carpet on the movie’s premiere night.

Not that Jude ever takes really bad pictures but some of these are breathtaking -
yes Noral appears very short and I think I understand why the sunglasses. Jude has allergies and it seems to be a bad season worldwide - it wasn’t for the affect,
he really needed them and that’s why at the end they went back on. Jared you are
the very best - we all must remember if it’s poossible you will do it for us so a
great big Thankyou for this one - i just have this wonderful feeling about what this whole day will bring and i cannot wait till the screenings tonight.

Word is that everyone did very well in the movie- especially the three females. The film’s reception was positive.
Norah looks beautiful in her dress and I hope Wong and Jude guided her through the Cannes process.

Jude is overrated…I am curious to see what Norah Jones worth as an actress..Why is Natalie Portman absent?
The critics so far are mediocre, The Guardian gave it only 2 stars out of 5. Its called shallow…does not sound very promising….

what a bonanza…for jude’s fans this is a windfall. he doesn’t have to laugh or have a big grin on his face with each photo….he just has to be….the camera catches the beauty. thank you so much my friend for giving us so much jude. good luck with the film.
I used to find Jude really attractive but he hasnt aged well at all
His clothes always seem too small. Hire a tailor Jude. Lose the Beatle’s shoes.
He is adorable though he does not look happy. It’s as though he has something on his mind.
