Brad Pitt’s Arm Tattoo = Otzi the Iceman
Brad Pitt’s new inner left forearm tattoo has been ID’s as the outline of Ötzi the Iceman, aka Frozen Fritz and Similaun Man. Here’s some history behind Europe’s oldest natural human mummy via the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology:
Over 5000 years ago, a man climbed up to the icy heights of the Schnalstal glacier and died. He was found by accident in 1991, with his clothes and equipment, mummified and frozen: an archaeological sensation and a unique snapshot of a Copper Age man.
The mummy of Otzi and the articles found with it, found in 1991 on the border between Austria and Italy, have been on exhibit since March 1998 at the South Tyrol Museum of Archeology.

hey just wanted to say i love when ignorant people slam on someone for getting tattooed. that’s great. glad to see so much tolerance for other people’s choices. love to see so much prejudice against someone for their dermal expression.
I never like tattoo but still love both of them .
I think it is a brilliant tattoo. Probably the best idea for a tattoo I’ve seen for a while. We only get one life and one body and if we are inclined to get tattoos they should be very individual and interesting - not something chosen off a wall.
And as far as it being “upside-down” what can that even mean? We are bodies in space. Direction is relative. We are not always in upright bipedal mode — not even half the time.
It is a wonderful tattoo and I hope it is real.

Im a tatooist myself and i have no issue with people who dont want tattoos same as i obviously have no issue with people who want them. I think people are intitled to their opinion but also have to learn that people do what they do for a multitude of reasons. Did anyone consider the possibility he was always a tattoo fan but only feels comfortable enough within himself now to get them done? that maybe Angelina has given him the courage to finally be himself reguardless of what people say? or on the other hand maybe you are right and she does talk him into it i dont know but what i do know is his tattoos are there for a reason be it something deep and personal or just purely for decoration so just let him be it is his body and he has them there for a reason its not for us to judge.
also the image is of a mummy is called Ötzi the Iceman and he is the oldest mummy to be discovered sporting tattoos maybe there is a link ? who knows
