Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie leave the Palais des Festival on Monday night after charming the crowd at the premiere of A Mighty Heart.
The duo drove off, hand-in-hand, to the famous “le Bacon” restaurant in Le Cap d’Antibes.
Brad and Angelina were joined for dinner by the A Mighty Heart cast and crew as well as pal Mariane Pearl, whom Jolie plays in the biopic, and her son Adam. The loved-up couple finished off the night in the Riviera resort at exclusive Hotel Du Cap, where their entire brood is staying.
UPDATE: Angelina is taking a year off from work! “I’m working this summer. I’m in Prague for a few months, then I take two months off, then I work for two months,” Jolie said to People on Tuesday at the Cannes Film Festival. “And then I take a year off.” Asked if the time off will be for her family, she replied: “Yes.”

Yep, they’ll revel in it, not because of love for the deceased, nope….they love the attention from being victims. I admire Mariane Pearle and how she handled this ordeal. And let’s also not forget that Angie *did* say, before she even met Brad, that if she ever met a man who was strong enough to demand she be better, one that could “take her down” (ooh la la!), she would spend the rest of her life loving one person.
And it appears she has found that ONE person, and she found him when she was least expecting for her fantasy guy to walk into her life. Love always finds you when you aren’t looking for it. Angie’s still a “free spirit” but now she has someone in her life who supports her freedom. An Oscar-worthy role that was intended for Jennifer Aniston has been given to Angelina Jolie. It was announced Thursday that Jolie, 31, will play Mariane Pearl in a film adaptation of her book, A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl. Mariane is the widow of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl who was kidnapped and murdered while covering a story in Pakistan in 2002. Brad Pitt will produce the film, directed by Michael Winterbottom.
Pitt and Aniston, who co-owned the production company Plan B, bought the rights to the book when they were still married, with the idea that Jen would star in the film adaptation. Jen ceded her stake in the company after the couple divorced in 2005, leaving Pitt to cast his baby-mama in the starring role.
Mariane Pearl, who is believed to have visited Pitt and Jolie during their stay in Nambia, said in a statement: “I am delighted that Angelina Jolie will be playing my role in the adaptation of my book. I deeply admire her work and what she is committed to.”
A Mighty Heart is the first on-screen role Jolie has accepted since the birth of daughter Shiloh Nouvel, born in Namibia in May. Last week she agreed to lend her voice to a tiger in the animated film Kung Fu Panda, also starring Jack Black.

The couple walked the Cannes red carpet Monday night for the world premiere of A Mighty Heart along with Mariane Pearl, on whose memoir the film is based, and her son Adam.
The Pitt-Jolie clan will remain at their villa on the French Riviera for several more days more as Pitt premieres Ocean’s Thirteen.
Jolie also told reporters on Tuesday about her recent pilot license upgrade the possibility of flying en famille. “Brad has his pilot’s license and I’ve just got my instrument rating, so we’re moving forward with that but we haven’t had a lot of time because of the kids and with Pax coming home,” she said.
“I wouldn’t fly the kids at this moment. I would only fly the kids if I had been actively flying for a few months and when I’m not at all rusty.”
Jolie, a Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR, insisted she will continue her campaign for justice around the world, even though there have been concerns for her safety: “I don’t want to live inside a box. I will be smart, but I will lead a very bold life, and I will learn about the world.”
Asked by PEOPLE how she is enjoying her time in France with her family, Jolie smiled and replied: “It’s lovely. It’s been lovely.”

The duo unveiled A Mighty Heart, starring 31-year-old Jolie as Mariane Pearl, the widow of Wall Street Journal writer Daniel Pearl, a victim of terrorism who was beheaded in Pakistan in 2002. Pitt is one of the film’s producers.
Tightly told, tastefully handled, and intensely moving, the drama-thriller is an early Oscar-contender. And Jolie, who won Best Supporting Actress in 2000 for Girl, Interrupted, will likely earn her first Best Actress nomination. The film opens on June 22, an unlikely time of year for such a movie (but possibly a smart strategy from Paramount Vantage, as adults may be feeling fatigue from summer popcorn movies by that time).
The room holding the film’s post-screening press conference was so crowded that even grisled longtime fest vets were turned away and forced to watch it on TVs outside. As the two super-celebs walked past the pack of photographers, a flashbulb frenzy erupted. Pitt, 43, stopped to talk to those around him. Jolie offered a quick wave.
“For me, so much of why this film was important to do is because I highly doubt there is anybody in this room who has more reason to hold hate inside herself than Mariane, and she doesn’t,” Jolie—who sat next to costar Dan Futterman (Daniel Pearl) and five people away from Pitt—told reporters. “That is, I think, a lesson for all of us.”

Here’s Angie’s sched: She’s working a few months this summer in Prague, then taking she’s taking two months off, then working for two months, then taking a full year, just to be a civilian!

This is a great insult to Brad. Altho i have not followed Brad’s entire life story since he came to Hollywood, the little that i do know of his private life has NO incidence of him cheating on any girlfriend or wife in his life. And at his age, maturity and his status as a doting and responsible father to his children and lover to Angie, i dont see where he’s gonna start “straying” now.
For god’s sake, you people believe these people are soap opera characters or something.
Somehow, i was under the (apparently misguided) impression that the poster with the moniker “BAMPZS FOREVER” was a fan of this family who only wish them well and who wouldnt repeat false allegations against them. I guess one lives and learns.

I’m truly baffled by the people who come here and post about how they think Jolie and Pitt are faking a relationship for publicity. That’s a special kind of brain damage. Years together, donating time, millions of dollars to charities together, a pack of children with more planned - faking a relationship for publicity is something that would last the duration of one film and involve dining at paparazzi laden restaurants and shopping at Kitson together.
Sorry for the rant on trolls but Christ Almighty people are STUPID.
Neither BP or AJ needed to manufacture publicity to get work or tabloid attention before they met. Have you looked at their resumes?
Anyone claiming they are in this relationship for publicity should be forced to research how many times the each made a Top Sexy List or Most Attractive List or whatever BEFORE they met.

They really love each other and even if they don’t care to show it, their chemistry, their behaviour say that!!! I’m from europe we are crazy for this couple. Brad seems Robert Redford in the Gasby’ movie, Angie is unbelievably beautiful inside and out.. all the press here agree with that. The reviews of the film are fantastic…

Why did she paint her face? Was she trying to look the part. I found it pretty offensive that in such a sensitive film she is painting her face to look more black.

Freaking painting yourself to look black is very offensive to other people its not a prosthetic nose or fat suit we are talking about. That my friend is the million dollar question. Is it because they shot for the moon and seem to have hit it? Jealousy? That so much seeming perfection and happiness must be flawed? I look at the two of them and I see the best of what humanity has to offer. An honorable man, who, despite what some may wish to believe waited until his marriage was over to “move on”; a man who is not contented to get his and let the rest of the world get theirs. I see a man who recognizes that he won the lottery genetically and talent wise and wants to share with the world the blessings he has. I see an actor, not content to maintain a youthful facade and keep playing the “hero”; but one who has thought about his role, and decided to put his money where his mouth is and produce fine films. I see a woman, also genetically blessed, from an acting family, who inherited her parent’s talent. Not content to rest on her laurels or go shopping at the latest “in” store, but who wants to make a real difference in the world and has the money to do so. I see the woman a young lady has grown into. A young lady who told her truth whatever it was at the time. Maybe that’s it? Angie has just always been herself….and that self was not what the “minivan majority” (about as real as the moral majority imho) wanted in a heroine. Maybe someone so “real” shouldn’t “win the prince”….but isn’t that EXACTLY what alll the fairy tales said? Cinderella was most valued, despite her rags and soot!
I don’t think I ever saw Brad Pitt as in love as I’ve seen him lately (except, perhaps at his wedding-and I think that was more about the hope of family). Angie too - true love isn’t about bragging about “doing it” in the limo on the way over, or hanging onto the loved one so much that the hanger is more accessory than person. True love is getting up with the kids so your partner can sleep on a busy day; being extremely proud of the others’ accomplishment. (am I the only one who thought that Brad going “classic Hollywood” was a tribute to Angie and the film?)
I’m sure they have not so wonderful days, just like the rest of us, but we don’t see that, and maybe some people just can’t stand the comparison of Brad and Angie’s “perfect” life to their own. Brad AND Angie held the bar high, and each met the other’s - they didn’t just jump into bed on the first date; they knew each other for a year or more….

I just love coming home and being able to read a thread about Anglelinga and Brad. You guys never fail to disappoint me with your wit , intelligent comments and your intepretations of the dipictions of this lovely family that we are able to see. I would however like to read a thread one day that has no negative comments, delusions or downright hatred. I understand that not everyone may share the same enthusiasim for this family but I just cant understand how anyone could wish them ill. I think they are a great couple, I dont care how she got him. To err is human to forgive is devine. Are any of us blameless. We should appreciate the effort that they make to make the lives of the most vunerable among us better. I appreciate how Angie has grown and developed into a woman that we all should be proud of. She did not remain stagnent. I know that there great black actresses that could have played the role of Mariane but I think it is ok for her to play it also. I hope she and Brad remain together, be happy, healthy and continue to do their good works and have more children if thats what they want.
