Brad to Angelina: Don’t Make Eggs
Wearing a pair of golden aviator sunglasses and bronze Christian Louboutin heels, Angelina Jolie gets interviewed by The Washington Post at the Hotel du Cap in Cannes, France.
Here are some fantastic excerpts from the recent article from The Washington Post titled “Angelina Jolie, Baring Her Soul On Behalf of A Mighty Heart“:
On guys never being asked who they’re wearing: One of the dozen reporters begins by asking who [Angelina] is wearing, then jokes that they never ask the guys that. “Except for Brad,” Jolie says, laughing, flashing the big teeth.
On Brad Pitt executive producing A Mighty Heart: Pitt joined Jolie in India. “He’s a really good producer,” she says, “and he also spent most of the time at the hotel with our three kids, being an even better father.”
On taking a year off: [Angelina] says she will finish up a film now shooting in Prague (the thriller “Wanted,” with Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy), and that soon she and Pitt plan to take a year off. She will keep flying planes. She just got instrument-rated and Pitt now has a pilot’s license. She says she takes precautions in her travels but will continue to see and experience the world. She might even learn how to cook. “I’ll say to Brad I’d like to make us some eggs,” Jolie says, “and he says don’t.”

Hello there people! I have the videos of Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie talking about A Mighty Heart during the premiere press conference! I also have the Cannes Red Carpet video when they were in it! Goto tazzyfuzzy.blogspot.com
Perfectly said African Girl. I was amazed people actually were concerned she didn’t go. They must really have no faith in them at all. Either that or don’t believe a word out of their mouth, which to me doesn’t make a very good fan.
Brad and Angelina are a normal couple. They are equals. That is what is great about them. There is no jealously over fame or careers. No egos! They are happy to make movies they want to make. They aren’t trying to prove themselves. They have long ago.

You people prediciting doom for this couple based on something so insignificant, should really check yourselves.

Couldn’t agree more, AG. I am thinking they are picking any little thing to death because really, they have truly run out of big guns, you know? When Brad and Angie first got together, it was all about Angie’s past and how it will never last 6 months, then they all SWORE the baby Angie was carrying could not possibly be Brad’s, then they tried the whole they-are-just-friends-with-benefits angle, and as time goes on, all their arguments have evaporated and they have not a leg to stand on these days. Any little action they view as an infraction on either of the J-P’s parts is going to now be their eternal predictor for this couple’s demise.
Soon, they’ll be prediciting a permanent break up if Brad drops her hand for longer than ten seconds on the next red carpet.
Where can I see the repeat interview with Ann Cury please? Will it be in AH?
And I do feel for Angie. I read negative things about the way she looks so skiny and veiny. She’s veiny cos she’s a sporty woman. I have these too. If an active sporty person lost weight, the veins will hang more out of the skin. That’s a fact. Once you put the weight back, the veins are still there but it’s still healthy looking. As for her being skiny, she is not as skiny as she was a couple of months before. She’s just thinner. Thinner doesn’t equal skiny. She’s slowly recovering. She lost her best friend, her mother, and this hit her hard. I’m sure she’ll be fine soon. Brad will help her go through that. Peace.

Thanks for the Today’s show recap. Was the interview in the first or second half of the show….because there’s no way I’m sitting through 2 hours of Meredith Viera (no offense to her fans…if she has any)
By the way, I’m also as amazed as you are at the lack of comprehension some people have displayed here. Indeed, reading and comprehending are becoming lost arts.
I don’t understand you crazy fans? You don’t get it.
How is it okay for a mother to adopt a child and not be there for him until one and half years later? If it was anyone else, people would be screaming, but since it’s JOLIE AND PITT, you praise her for being a wonderful Mom.
Thanks again Just Jared. I am enjoying all the pictures and links. I also think that people will read and misinterpret what AJ says out of malice and envy. It is not hard to read and understand her exact message. However, it is much easier to carry on team nonsense and vendetta for no reasons. BP and AJ are doing fine. They have their priorites in order and will always do what is best for their family. AJ has had a difficult year. However, she has overcome so much with keeping her head held high, her dignity and with quite grace. She could have run from tab to tab, tv shows and interviews refuting various rumors but she held her silence and focused on her family. “A mighty Heart” should be a powerful film and I am looking forward to seeing it. Peace to all. Best wishes to BAMPZS.
“I suppose I’m very aware of time and of memories and of doing — and enjoying — life,” she told TODAY’s Ann Curry in an emotional interview. “I want to be a great mom like my mom was. And I want to also do the things that I love.”

What are you talking about? You *do* realize she was at home with him for a month, and even though she is working in Prague right now, they are all together in house there, and Angie has arranged her work schedule to be home EVERY NIGHT with her family. The J-P’s always roll together. After this she is taking two months off, then working for two months (and will likely have a similar arrangment as she does right now in Prague where she is home every evening), and THEN she is taking a year off.
Reading comprehension, dear, reading comprehension. Maybe you would be better at it if you ever read anything other than Star Magazine.

Hmmm, interesting question. Let’s ask the mothers who have to go back to work a mere 6 wks after having their babies. Why oh why can’t they take a year and the half off to be there for the baby? And before you go on about needing the money, I’m not talking about your average moms either, there’s been more than a dozen celeb moms in the last year, who’ve gone back to work, immediately after having their babies.
Next question or “concern”.
Brad looks terrible in the oceans photocall. His face is bloated and looks old.
not be mean or anything (or maybe to be mean just a little…) i googled the man to find out what he’s been up to… oh ma gawd. take out reactionary quotations to the Brangelina Tsunami and wishful vince vaughn non-story rehash scraping around for some news… NOTHING’s been happening. And that just made me feel bad. Nothing is happening. Nothing. Nothing Nothing Nothing. That’s just sad. Now I really do feel bad for him.
I mean we do through life, try different things and they either work or they don’t, and this becoming a shemale thing worked. For a bit. And now maybe it’s time to re-consider that sexchange operation and just go back to life as a man. Then maybe he can stand a chance and compete with the arquette for cox love.

Thanks….I remember they pulled that stunt with BP’s interview in New Orleans.

Clooney, Pals Raise Millions for Darfur
This morning on “Good Morning America,” producer Jerry Weintraub will announce how much money his new charity has raised for Darfur relief. It’s going to be in the millions and should be a fairly stunning number.
Last night, Weintraub — a favorite Hollywood survivor who produces the “Ocean’s Eleven” series for Warner Bros. — hosted a fundraiser here in Cannes on a spectacular yacht parked in Antibes Harbor. He was joined by the cast of “Ocean’s Thirteen,” which opens here tomorrow night.
George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Don Cheadle and Matt Damon — all partners with Weintraub in Not On Our Watch — were present, as well as Ellen Barkin, Scott Caan and Elliott Gould from the film’s cast. I’m told OK! Magazine paid a lot of money for the exclusive rights to photos and interviews with the stars, and that the fee goes straight to the charity. Everyone wins.

Weintraub did a fine job organizing the whole thing, keeping the number of guests low and making sure paparazzi couldn’t get near the boat. (I say boat, but it had many levels and something like 30 cabins!)
And, no, Angelina Jolie was not there. She was up at the Hotel du Cap, Brad Pitt told me, playing with their kids. Brad and I did talk about the movie he and Jolie produced, “A Mighty Heart,” which premiered here this week.
“We are nervous; it’s a hard sell,” he said. But that’s just a producer talking. “A Mighty Heart” deserves to be a hit and an award winner. It’s that good.
Cheadle, by the way, told me he has finalized the plans to direct himself as jazz great Miles Davis in a biopic. Cheadle didn’t say which period of Davis’ life will be concentrated on.
“You can’t do his whole life in one movie,” he said. But the Oscar nominee knows his facts and figures — Davis’ definitive recording, “Kind of Blue,” still sells 50,000 copies a year. It was originally released on March 2, 1959.
And what of Clooney? He was wearing a tux — probably Armani — and looking a lot like Cary Grant. He can also be happy that the money raised (www.notonourwatch.com) is going straight to Darfur and that this group of Hollywood celebs is simply helping other humans in crisis. There is no ulterior motive, no cult religion or any other agenda except the saving of lives.

Oh please. Pitt didn’t go to Tribeca either. Where was the outrage over that?
Today show via MSN:
A tearful Jolie: ‘I want to be a great mom’
The actress talks about her new film and the impact of losing her mother
Angelina Jolie lost her mother in January, and the experience has made her acutely aware of her own life.
“I suppose I’m very aware of time and of memories and of doing — and enjoying — life,” she told TODAY’s Ann Curry in an emotional interview. “I want to be a great mom like my mom was. And I want to also do the things that I love.”
She both laughed and cried with Curry during the interview, given a month before the release of her new film, “A Mighty Heart,” co-produced by her companion, Brad Pitt.
In the movie, she portrays Mariane Pearl, the wife of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl who in 2002 was kidnapped and brutally murdered by Al Qaeda terrorists while on assignment in Pakistan.
The last year for the star who has been named both the most beautiful and one of the most influential women in the world has been in her word “heavy.”
She finished a wrenchingly emotional movie, then on May 27 of last year gave birth to a daughter, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt in Namibia. In January, her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, died at the age of 56 after a long battle with cancer. On March 15, she adopted Pax Thien Jolie — her third adopted child and fourth in all — a three-year-old from Vietnam who had been abandoned at birth.
And now her film is debuting to rave reviews in an out-of-competition showing at Cannes.
“I’m at a strange place in my life,” she told Curry. “I think that that happens when you lose a parent — you drop into a different kind of serious.
And yet, at the same time, you want to enjoy and laugh as much as possible every day.”
She laughed at that, but a moment later she teared up as she talked about how losing her mother made her appreciate her own family that much more.
“I’m holding onto my family really tight at this moment because of that,” she said. “And trying to be as good a woman as I can be in my life.”
“That’s what got — got me crying.”
And then through the tears, she laughed again.
“I didn’t mean to make you cry,” Curry apologized.
“No, no. It’s all right,” said the woman who launched a thousand tabloid headlines. “It’s a part of life. . . .I lost my mom. It’s a natural thing for a child to lose a parent. I lost my mom too young, but it happens. And I’m happy she’s out of pain, ’cause I love her.”
Bertrand raised Jolie from when she was a girl after separating from her husband and Jolie’s father, actor John Voight. Jolie remains estranged from Voight.
But the 31-year-old actress, who devotes large portions of her time and money to humanitarian causes throughout the world, said her loss could not be compared to what Mariane Pearl went through when her husband was kidnapped.
Mariane was working in Karachi as a freelance journalist with her husband when he was kidnapped. She was five months pregnant at the time and had to face armies of photographers and reporters while her husband’s fate remained unclear.
Nine days after his abduction, Pearl was beheaded and the video posted on the Internet. Mariane would write a book about her experience with the same title as the movie. She personally called Jolie and asked her to portray her in the film. During the filming in Karachi, the two became good friends.
“Mariane lost her husband in a way that is not natural and is unfair,” Jolie told Curry.
Similarly, Jolie saw no real comparison between the paparazzi who have followed her through much of her career — especially when she began dating Brad Pitt, with whom she now lives — and what Mariane Pearl endured.
“I don’t know what it’s like to have lost my husband and somebody do that to me,” Jolie said. “It’s very different. . . .I just haven’t gone through what she’s been through. And so I just think being stopped by paparazzi is one thing. Having cameras in your face when your husband is kidnapped or he has lost his life is something that is totally different and can never be compared.”
Watch Dateline NBC Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/ 9 p.m. CT for Ann Curry’s interview with Angelina Jolie and there will be more of her interview Thursday on TODAY.
