Good news for Ocean’s Thirteen as positive reviews are rolling on in!

The Hollywood Reporter reports, “Rolling the dice for a third time in “Ocean’s Thirteen,” Steven Soderbergh and his team beat the odds. Final chapters of trilogies invariably suffer from lameness. This, of course, already transpired in the “Ocean’s Twelve,” where subplots misfired and the script resorted to all sorts of slight-of-hand trickery. The new film, which screened Out of Competition at Cannes, returns to Las Vegas and does recapture much of the spirit of the original film.”

What I hate about him: Has publicly stated (re: marriage to Jennifer), I don’t know if I’m the type of person who can stay married forever. I don’t believe people are supposed to be together forever. YET adopts three kids and has a biological baby all in the period of less than three years. GOOD GOING. I hope he realizes that parenthood IS a forever commitment.

They are two of the oldest fashion houses yet they seem to have been bypassed by the new crop of starlets when it came to the red carpet. And yellow? She is going to start a new trend. Even Petra’s falling strap coudn’t eclipse the sunshiny Angie. She was really working it and I think Brad was loving it.

I love these two but they both look older than their ages in HQ. Angelina is absolutely GORGEOUS but she looks about 35 and Brad looks about 55. People on other sites thought that maybe Brad looks a little plasticky because he got Botoxed.
Angeline Jolie can pull it off cause she’s just stunning and seems to have gone through and lived a lot in her 32 years, but brad… there is no excuse. George and Brad both look like ugly old men now.

People are not stolen; they leave. Angie cut her father out of her life b/c after 26 years it wasn’t just about her anymore. it was about her son and creating a stable life for him free
of sometimes grandpa jon voight. and with regard to brad and marriage well number 1 jen aniston echos brad’s sentiment about commitment. and to some degree so does angelina. what they are is forever bound to their children and as parents together. and by choice i might add.
All sorts of people have all sorts of “excuses” for why they don’t stick to their commitments. Angelina took both Billy Bob and Brad away from their mates because “she could.” Yes, I’ve seen this happen in REAL relationships. It is a sign of selfishness and insecurity and some sort of need to prove oneself more desirable than someone else at the stake of ******** someone over.
Maybe Brad doesn’t like it when people touch his face. I know a lot of men who don’t, as a matter of fact. Relax, Brad’s a dude, he’s a 43 year old dude, he’s not gonna walk down the red carpet being all gooey with his woman. Angelina seems to the more touchy feely person in the relationship, but I think a lot of women are that way. No big deal. Whatever happens between them is none of our business anyway. Nobody is freaking out and we don’t need chill pills. They were very happy looking throughout all of premier. There is no reason for concern. I don’t know if you are a hater or not, but you bring in stupid **** and a non issue. They had their every moment watched for hours. ITA with you Me Too, I was referring to those who lack confidence and thank you for clarifying as you noted. However I’m not sure with JA it was sheer lack of confidence…maybe jealously as well, i.e. lack of confidence sometimes turns into resentment and jealously…subsequently behavior gets convoluted such that jealous resentment handicaps support for the partner who is successful and then tension arises…hence JA’s movie after movie commitment after Friends. It was her one chance to grab the donut and she made a choice. It cost her plenty because the movies were all flops but she may not have had an opportunity again and she had to try…unfortunately she didn’t have the scope or talent for the undertaking.
My point being…it shouldn’t be a competition between two people who love one another except in a silly A-list to A-list bantering form like BP has with AJ who BTW has a great sense of humor and there is equality in humor as well or else one of the parties feel humiliated or lacks the confidence to rise above it.
JA was so insecure and selfish that she wanted what BP has for herself. I can’t reference unfortunately because it was pre AJ (and I had no interest in JA anyway) but I do recall an interview that JA said it was very difficult to live with someone like BP because of his notoriety and there were reports she sat all alone at Oceans parties…either because she didn’t fit in or because she resented the A-list camaraderie…speculating only.
And remember Like talk about Like subject matters. TV A-listers and movie A-listers are not the same…they don’t really have that much in common. It would be understandable that she gambled her marriage for a chance at “A-list recognition” in an attempt to fit in. She probably wasn’t aware of the gamble at the time.
I’m sure fans of BP prior to AJ would remember and perhaps be able to reference.

Er - when I was REALLY young, I once seduced my ex-boyfriend to prove that I could, and was more attractive than his new girlfriend. After that, I realized how stupid and selfish it was…….and that all I was doing was trying to gain self esteem at the expense of someone else….

AG, it’s both. Most people 9especially women) who are inexperienced with or locked into their own fantasies about relationships have pre-conceived notions of what it “should be”…it’s the Cinderella phenomena. They are projecting through the AJ-BP relationship their own insecurities about “a relationship” viewed through their eyes as their “relationship”. Apart of this fantasy especially for women and for some men is that “a couple ‘in love’ is “suposed to do everything together, the man defends the woman, he speaks for her etc which is actually not good for the overall relationship and as most accomplished independent women know is stifling. Many women unfortunately still view their self image through their husbands/boyfriends and traditionally this has always been the case…the man is the money maker, successful one, the smart one…the woman is the accessory who just looks good and plays the supportive role…obviously and thank goodness this concept has changed for the younger generations.
I don’t think this way of thinking is restricted to non-fans or pretend fans either.
Some of the worse offenders of this fear that there will be a break-up are fans who are living their fantasy as AJ and slip into this world and for the non-fans, it’s simple
schadenfreude.
Honestly, this is too much…we have billions of second depicting affection between these two, yet some are fixated a nona-second of something that isn’t even there. Jeez!

Finally home and what do I see but the best pixs ever on JJ. They are deeply deeply in love, they are both happy. Angelina has never to my knowledge worn such a bright sunny color and she looks oh so beautiful. Brad looks at her as if she is his sun. PDA is finally on display with these two, love when he has his arms around her waist, looks like he wanted to kiss her but stopped just short of doing so. They have now let the world know just how solid and real is the state of their union. Loved seeing Angelina gathered with the other “spouses” and children and exchanging warm greetings with everyone, including the O13 folks, and Brad and Angelina and George leaving the hotel together.
For Brad to say to Billy Bush “I’m happy NOW, I wouldn’t change a thing” tells me that Angelina has found her other half. Brad struts like a rooster guarding his hen/mate Angelina.
Their body language is speaking to me and saying that they need to find a room quickly for some private time. LOL.

In last night’s episode of an australian tv show (it may be ‘a current affair’) there was an interview segment ex-Cannes where George Clooney & Matt Damon were carrying on with their usual antics on Brad Pitt’s lifestyle. They jokingly said something about Brad being huddled with kids, etc. Now, I was a bit dumb-founded how George jokingly uttered about Brad & his ‘ugly wife’ (meaning Angie) etc then Matt laughingly commented about what it’s like to come home to her (Angie) every night. NOW I WONDER, ARE BRAD & ANGIE ALREADY MARRIED and that George Clooney must have made a boo-boo there….. I wonder how many TV viewers of that show in Australia picked up on that one. hmmmmmmmmm, there you go!!!

AG, it’s both. Most people 9especially women) who are inexperienced with or locked into their own fantasies about relationships have pre-conceived notions of what it “should be”…it’s the Cinderella phenomena. i think that brad may be making sure that angie’s long gown-train doesn’t get caught under her shoes/heels…brad seems to be totally & 200% looking out for her especially going down & up the stairs in Cannes. i’ve seen him like this (so protective of her) in so many of the photos in Cannes. imagine the paps & angie’s detractors waiting for that moment when she trips in front of those cameras. Well judgeing from where his hands almost always end up on his lady, I would say that his most favorite body part is her backside below her waist. His hands seem to be drawn there as if by a magnet, they start out at her waist and quickly shift lower. Angelina seems to love having his hands in that position as much as he loves placing them there.
Love the photos. Yellow really is Angie’s color, she just glows in it! She wore an esquisite yellow dress in my favorite magazine cover, Marie Claire July 2005. Gorgeous.

This whole daleplay video thing is killing me. I don’t care if it’s coming from Angie fans or haters, its all stupid for Brad showed his love for her through out the night and what really should help everyone’s “cause” is that Angie didn’t seem bothered by it. From what I see, Brad was looking at the guy interview for tv…either A. he was annoyed with him or B. was trying to hear his question…..either way…it wasn’t directed at his woman.
Just took my dog for a walk, went grocery shopping for the long weekend, and all the while, just wanted to get and drool over these photos again.
For JP fans, this has been a long time coming. We are finally able to see them feel comfortable enough in their own skin to show their true feelings for one another for the world to see….and to pick the Cannes Film Festival to do it is the frosting on the cake, as my Mom would have said.
Both Brad and Angie look like they belong together ~ and have to be so proud to have both AMH and O13 well received by the critics. From AMH, Angie will most likely get an Oscar nomination, and you can tell that Brad is darn proud of his partner in life.
They have brought out the best in each other and that is what love is all about.
They dared to live their dream ~ and from these photos, it looks like their dream has come true.

Yeah, Nancy, you’re right… people grow apart. That’s exactly what happened with Brad and Jennifer. They looked real pretty together, like Barbie and Ken dolls, but they never had a thing in common. She was partying alone at least a year before they separated. She told Vogue magazine herself that the marriage was effectively over by November 2004. That was before he ever met Angelina.
See, Nancy, Jennifer is into parties and premieres and that whole fake Hollywood scene. That’s all she knows. And he got sick and tired of that. He wanted children; she wouldn’t give him any. The Angelina forums ought to be glad to see Angelina looking so beautiful and happy. She has had a tough year. Brad has done nothing for anyone to find fault with. He is extremely protective of Angelina and she appreciates that in him. To think that anyone who says they are fans are reading something negative where there is nothing, are ignoring all the happy smiling pixs of Angelina who is just glowing, says to me that they are just antiBrad and that is the problem they are having. In last night’s episode of an australian tv show (it may be ‘a current affair’) there was an interview segment ex-Cannes where George Clooney & Matt Damon were carrying on with their usual antics on Brad Pitt’s lifestyle. They jokingly said something about Brad being huddled with kids, etc. Now, I was a bit dumb-founded how George jokingly uttered about Brad & his ‘ugly wife’ (meaning Angie) etc then Matt laughingly commented about what it’s like to come home to her (Angie) every night. Just took my dog for a walk, went grocery shopping for the long weekend, and all the while, just wanted to get and drool over these photos again.
For JP fans, this has been a long time coming. We are finally able to see them feel comfortable enough in their own skin to show their true feelings for one another for the world to see….and to pick the Cannes Film Festival to do it is the frosting on the cake, as my Mom would have said.
Both Brad and Angie look like they belong together ~ and have to be so proud to have both AMH and O13 well received by the critics. From AMH, Angie will most likely get an Oscar nomination, and you can tell that Brad is darn proud of his partner in life.
They have brought out the best in each other and that is what love is all about.
They dared to live their dream ~ and from these photos, it looks like their dream has come true.
I have great admiration for them as actors and human beings.

I am convinced that some people are hardwired to find something wrong in any situation, if they look hard enough. And, if they can’t find something, they begin to become “delusional” and grasping at straws, so they can “report” the wrong.

These red carpet walks have been unbelievable. Way better than TGS and the GG; of course, the pall of Marcheline’s declining health could’ve been a factor.
Surprises all around… major chemistry jumping off at AMH press conference, despite their attempts to keep it professional. Angelina in the least neutral color of the spectrum… yellow. Elegance all around. And soon, the elegance will be placed back in its trunk– then, if we’re lucky, we’ll see family life, J-P style.
I was very content just lurking from all these Cannes festival excitement of these two beautiful people, until I stumbled reading the post on the “infamous” video of “Brad avoiding Angelina’s kiss” - (mind you this happened on a split second series of event).
People, whatever it was, it looks like a spontaneous reflex response from Brad in the midst of chaos - between reporters, photographers, fans, handlers, bodyguards, journalists, and other hundreds of people screaming and flashing bulbs. In other words, nothing happened - it was a benign reflex - nothing more, nothing less….I doubt if both of them even remember it…..so, let it go….Just focus on what’s real and the truth, and that is, they are both totally in love and happy with their family…..
Speaking of chaos, amidst this weeks great events, I would like to personally thank Jared for a great job keeping us all Jolie-Pitt fans happy.
And of course, I want to thank all the great Jolie-Pitt fans here, with all their links, funny and intelligent posts, and strong support to this family. It was indeed an incredible week.

One thing this dress points out to me is that Angie is NOT “too skinny”. She’s THIN, not “skinny”. She’s still got curves and she’s not a straight up-and-down stick like so many of the anorexic HW chicks are. Um there is no botox because all during AMH brad’s face was animated. he had movement in his forehead and when he laughed about daydreaming about what’s her face. you can see the lines on his forehead and around his eyes. Botox fills all of that out and you can’t move your face. His eyes seem very sensitive to sunlight and bright lights. he squints a lot. I agree there has been more than usual drinking with all the Cannes events this week. They can go back to Prague and rest next week.

I do think Angelina has dressed so appropriately for each of the 2 film premiers. Very understated and elegant in black for AMH premier - which is after all, to honour a serious and in many ways, painful subject.

One thing I’ve observed is how they never venture out without their bodyguards. I feel a little sad about that. It must suck. Did anyone watch E News? A curious thing… like five minutes of the show was dedicated to Peecrust’s behind-the-scenes video journal for AI. While the new AI winner is of interest, the ‘journal’ seemed like filler, big time. And the fact that they didn’t have O13 red carpet coverage, unless they went back to Cannes later on in the show, me thinks that E was shut out.
Again, I didn’t watch the whole show, so I could be wrong, but the only clip they showed of O13 at Cannes was Clooney kissing the girlfriend of a high bidder at the AMFAR auction.
And yesterday, when one of their correspondents interviewed ‘the cast’, the balance of the interview was with George and Matt. A clip of Brad and Don was spliced in, but it was unclear whether this E correspondent was actually interviewing the two of them.

boohoo, this is mostly a female thing. Women want to be touched and touch all the time. Doing the red carpet for a movie oneis promoting is a job…men are goal oriented and don’t have the same focus as women. Many men don’t like to be touched in public especially while working (unless they are doing the touching.)
