Sheryl Crow: “Wyatt is Now a Humanitarian!”
Sheryl Crow multi-tasks as she chats away on her cell phone whilst picking out jewelery in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The singer-songwriter just updated her official website about her and Wyatt making the cover of OK! Magazine.
“Hi Everyone! Well, as you no doubt have seen, Wyatt and I did our first, and probably only, photoshoot for a magazine. I have always made it a practice to keep my private life out of the public light but to be honest, I was being heavily stalked by photographers who wanted the get the “first shot.” And rather than have someone I don’t know sell a shot to a magazine, we accepted OK magazine’s offer to make a generous donation to an amazing organization called the World Food Program in Wyatt’s name.
So….Wyatt is now a humanitarian! Because he and I happened to catch an interview with Drew Barrymore on the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer about this organization, we were inspired to get involved with the WFP.
In a nutshell, this United Nations non-profit organization feeds millions of starving children at schools in third world countries as an incentive for them to attend school, which in turn might better their futures. They do so much more but I was so struck by this story that our relationship with the WFP was born, with the help of OK Magazine. Hope you enjoy!”

^^^ so full of hate.Sheryl Crow has donated her own time ,talent, and money for years to charitable causes. To act like this is a first is ridiculous. This thread was about Sheryl and her baby Wyatt. To hijack this thread and turn it into a vendetta is so childish in itself. To me this screams-HIGH School/Middle School mentalities…I would like to thank Just Jared for the pics but now I get the impression he used it for the hits from the haters-again. I love that Sheryl has this wonderful baby in her life.May they enjoy their life together.
hey, Drew & Angellina, yeah I was aware of that. I understand people think Crow copycatted Jolie but I believe very soon a lot more celebrities will start donating much more, will get involved a lil’ bit more in third world organisations and travel to the places where war and starvation are happenin’. Even AJ’s enemies will do the same. This word is changing for the better. We should be grateful that someone else has joined the ranks of Jolie, Barrymore, Di Caprio to do something good in this world. Jolie can’t save the world on her own. It’s a good thing Sheryl wants to contribute. I really don’t think it’s copycat. Peace.
I love the revolution of charity Angelina has started. Now even Sheryl is on the badwagon.
God Bless Angie.
Love her!
“Now even Sheryl is on the bandwagon” - Sheryl was on the bandwagon when Angie was still very young. And that’s only a matter of age difference, this is not a hate post.
Yes she does a lot of good, but why slag anyone else? The hatred and twisted views on this thread are well worth a study.
If you want to find fault with anyone but Angelina, you always will. Not hard to do.
This is not about team this or team that.
The woman adopted a much-wanted child, and like any mother she’s happy about that.
She wanted nice pics in the media instead of grainy, ugly paparazzi pics. She wanted the paparazzi off her’s and the baby’s back for the few days she’s still in LA. And she did not want to make money off the photos. Nothing wrong with that.
It’s not her fault that A&B get slagged for adopting.
There’s no need to attack her.
Hey, filipino fan, I notice Team Anistonistas invade Angelina/Brangelina threads all the time. And last I heard this is a free country, not like the Philippines under the Marccos dictatorship (or are you a Marcos fan too?)
Sheryl Crow & Angelina Jolie are relevant to each other (even though I’ve heard Sheryl and Jennifer Aniston are friends): famous single mothers choosing to adopt wonderful orphan boys, clever enough to turn the tables on papparazzi & tabloid rags, and simultaneously donate to very worthy causes.
I don’t worship Angelina/Brad, and of course they haven’t done anything for me *personally* since they don’t know me. But I have the same values they do (which I had many, many years before I heard of either of them), and they’re doing what I wish I could: make a difference in the world, help change peoples’ lives for the better, give voice to the voiceless with their advocacy, and use the necessary evil that comes with celebrity to turn the light shining on important issues and raise money forhumanitarian organizations that desperately need it.
So let’s turn your questions back to you: “Ha[s] [Jennifer] ever done anything personally for you so that you can worship [her] so much to the extent that you do? Has [Angelina] ever hurt you in any way possible?”
Of course, Aniston has never done anything for me or hurt me personally — we don’t know each other. I think she’s pretty in that fresh girl-next-door way. She’s got potential as an actor (I saw her in Friends with Money where she was better than I expected, and she got good reviews in the Good Girl.) It’s a pity she seems stuck in being the professional ex-Mrs. Brad Pitt.
The main thing I don’t like about her is her inspiring her rabid troops of Anistonistas to viciously attack, slander, and libel a Good Woman and her family. Angelina Jolie is not perfect — she’s human like the rest of us (and she’s disclaimed being called Mother Teresa by others).
well isnt this special sheryl sellin photos of her 2 week old adopted baby. i guess shes not so special after all.why is she famous? her music is so lame, no kinda talent, she looks rough and old lady like, check the face and legs out wrinkly, is she 55 or 60?poor kid.she will be in diapers when hes a teen.DEPENDS anyone?
It really doesn’t matter who started donating money first or who copied whom. And if more celebrities or others continue to do this, the better. There are lots of needy charity. I only hope that it is not a passing fad.
The point is that there are people who really need help and they are being helped.
B&A did not create the wheel on charity they created the wheel for expecting praise for it, now celebs want that “thatta boy” since B&A are looking like the only ppl that give. However, there is PLENTY of ppl that do and have done WAY before them :

Geeez what a bunch of freaks!
Yeah yeah Mmmmm, I don’t c anywhere in the link you posted, that said they’ve done that way before the JP. All the news there are dated May 2007. I’m not sayin they’ve never donated before or did something good for the unfortunates but if you really wanted to prove they were people who are humanitarians b4 Jolie, why didn’t you post articles that dated way b4 Jolie started her humanitarian work? I would’ve expected articles on Mia Farrow, Hepburn, Bono, Geldolf or Michael Jackson, LOL.
Ok I get why you posted this. Sry I misread what you meant in your post. However, the likes of Bono always been humanitarians, even b4 Jolie anyway. So they should not belong to the list of ”praise me ‘cos I’m donating!”
Re: #5 and #22 Cliniqua, #23 Drew&Angelina, #27 mikey mike
Every poster here has a valid point. Praise should be given to anyone who has the ability and desire to adopt and Cliniqua is obviously not criticizing SC’s adoption or donation…however when first reading Crow’s comments on the donation through Hello Magazine, one cannot help but wonder her alliances to JA and what a delicate situation she is in. The scenario is so parallel to AJ’s which would be expected for a celebrity but Crow’s phrasing and choice of words seems calculated in a similar manner to a well known JA interview where it is not what is said but how it is worded and what is not said that appears as was clearly stated by # 23 | Drew&Angelina @ 05.24.2007 11:36 am posts ” …That’s why Crow seems a bit disingenuous and a little silly parrotting back Pitt’s words and actions.”
However I agree with # 27 | mikey mike @ 05.24.2007 11:43 that it is not likely a copy cat. The opportunity was there when she was approached by Hello so why not.
However, a reader can’t help but ask the speculative question, why can’t Crow be more open and honest about whether or not she was influenced by AJ and BP’s actions and words because the words she used are so obviously influenced by this couple.
Who’s the more immature here?…SC for not being able to say perhaps what she would have said if she were not a good friend of someone who might be “hurt” or the friend who would feel betrayed if SC had referenced them?
Regardless, good luck to Sheryl Crow and Wyatt. BTW people should stop criticizing Cliniqua who is very astute in her observations and is able to bring up a point of view that should be considered…that’s what makes these threads interesting, however the discussions should focus less on the person posting than on what is being posted.
Congratulations to Sheryl Crow. The baby is one lucky one.
So now that Jen’s friend has done it, is it going to be OK for Brad & Angelina to sell their babies’ pictures to magazines for charity purposes? ;)
Jebus you Angie worshipers are sickening and down right scary. As if Angelina invented adoption and humanitarian causes. Can you say Mia Farrow and Audrey Hepburn??? I thought you could.
Yeah, it seems a bit funny to hear Sheryl repeat the same words as Brad and Angie. But just because Sheryl is a friend of Jen’s doesnt mean that they share all the same ideas about things.
For instance, just last year, Jen told Larry King that adoption was not for her. See? friends dont have to agree all the time.
Congrats to Sheryl.

Never said that they were humanitarians, just saying that ppl give all the time and not just celebs. What do you contribute to this world other then worshipping of B&A .. What a joke LOL
frankly, I think it is great that Sheryl has stopped with the pity party over Lance, and has gone on to improving her life and doing for others.
If only more of us would do the same.
to Mmmm, I’m far from being a BA worshipper. It looks like anyone who doesn’t agree with ya is one of those. My post was about the link you posted and how irrelevant it was to what you said. I realised later I misread what you said and I apologised. Now, let me ask the same question, what do you contribute to this world other than to be stuck to this website bashing people? Methink You’re worse than BA worshippers. So get out of there and meet real people from the real world, donate a bit of your wages to charities — that is if you actually work, or perhaps you’re an obese unemployee spending his/her life stuck to the internet world. Get a life!
AS ANGIE SAID IM GONNA LIVE MY LIFE!!!
SEE SHES NOT EVEN AFFECTED WITH ALL THE RUMORS AND GOSSIP ETC. AS LONG AS HER CHILDREN ARE HEALTHY!!
HATERS WILL SOON HAVE A HEART ATTACK!! BEWARE!!!
to mikey mike
if your a famous celebrity just like aj and bp every charity donations you make will always be in public specially if it involves money and time!!!
of course one factor why Angie involve the press is for all of us to be aware of whats happening to the less fortunate countries and to those peoople who suffer thats one way to advertise and its also an eye opener for all of us…that even if we are not taht rich we are still luckier than others!!!!
GETS!!!!
I dont like Sheryl Crow shes a phony who has lots of issues and she is not healthy mentally or physically. No kid should be with this woman til she gets her act together. It hasnt been 5 years her cancer could come back.CANT STAND CROW every since her phony Oprah interview.Give that kid to a worthy set of parents.
