Beyonce looks like a WOMAN and thats great! She has a good body and the confidence to pull anything off. Jay-Z and Beyonce seem to enjoy each other and keep their relationship private. I wish them all the best.

Beyonce is working that Bikini. Beyonce and Jay-Z are a power couple. They are an equal match and I hope they go the distance. I am looking forward to seeing some pictures of little Jay-zees and Jay-zetts on Just Jared.

How can you say Jay-Z doesn’t care about her and is tired of her? Obviously he isn’t, because they’re on an exotic vacation together hanging out by the pool like a normal couple would. Just because they don’t go to events & around the hollywood scene together constantly doesnt mean they’re having problems. I think it shows theyre good together because its not about the publicity. Jennifer Lopez said this about her own body. Latinas and Black women are naturally curvier.

Whereas Asian women tend to be smaller with smaller derrieres, etc.

There are body types that are racially specific.

I remember in ballet classes as a teen - my black girlfriends no matter how extraordinary dancers they were always seemed more womanly in their tutus whereas us white girls were smaller boned.

Now, all you have to do is take a trip to a strip mall in New Jersey or Mobile, Alabama and you will see plenty of VERY heavy White women.

I am not talking about obesity - I am talking about curves.

As a teen, I always wanted to look like my Puerto Rican and Black girlfriends who just seemed to look WAY better than me in a pair of jeans.

Now, I have learned to appreciate my body and know that I will never have J-Lo’s butt and that’s ok.

But let’s remember, sometimes when we judge body types - we are also judging natural racial body types.

For example, it would be offensive to expect a girl in Hong Kong to have J-Lo’s butt. Racially, it is rare. It is like asking why an Asian girl does not have blue eyes or why a white girl does not have a permanent tan.

We should appreciate all body types as long as it is healthy.

If I suddenly looked like Beyonce does in that picture above - I can’t think of ANY man that would turn me down.

And remember, Marilyn Monroe and women like Jayne Mansfield were considered and are still considered sexual Goddesses.

Marilyn Monroe was like a size 14 her whole life.

And still to this day, Marilyn Monroe would put ANY woman to shame. She was drop dead gorgeous.

So atacking Beyonce’s body shows one thing: jealousy.

The girl is gorgeous, period. I hate the way she dresses sometimes and I don’t like the overpromotion of her image but in the looks dept - she is flawless. Period.

What we think of women’s body types has a lot to do with what is going on in the times.

During the 80’s when AIDS was on the rise, women were obsessed with not looking thin.

Nowadays, as most American women are overweight and America has become the consumerist supersize nation that we are - we champion the waif again.

The media and image industries always champion what the majority of women don’t look like. It’s the old advertising trick: hype what most women don’t have and they will buy your product because they have a dream of being what they are not.

Since most American women are not overweight, than they skinny skinny girl is being championed as the thing to look like.

I was just in Barcelona a few weeks ago and there is hardly an obesity problem there - then again, Spain does not have the economic resources that Americans have. Americans have more so they spend more and eat more.

Now back to Marilyn Monroe - what is fascinatin g about her is that men to this day, some 50 years later, consider her body and iconic sexual one.

So in fact, on a primal level, no matter what is going on societally - I think men instinctually are attracted to an abundance of a woman’s parts that are specifically female - curvy breasts, curvy butts and just all around curves.

It is a primal thing. When we reject curvy women, those are more paranoid societal responses to what is going on in our world.

But at the end of the day, when the lights are out, very few men will turn down a curvy toned butt and luscious breasts. It is so distinctly different from what males have that it is in fact what makes men know they are physically with a woman.

No surprise, Marilyn Monroe became a huge start in post WW America where abundance was the key. So everything was bigger. The women were bigger and boobier, etc. Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn - they were a baby boomer’s dream of this new America of abundance - microwaves, big cars and curvy women.

Men love a curvy woman and that is why Beyonce ends up on every Hot List. Yeah, she is talented but men get off on her curves. Like it or not.

In another decade, who knows what beauty type we will herald.

I can say this I used to take classes at a Salsa school and hung out with lots of Latin men and as far as they are concerned, a thin non curvy butt or non booby girl was the worst thing.

So it is very much cultural too. If you go down to Brazil - men are obsessed with curves or Puerto Rico.

Interstingly enough, just came back from a day at LACMA the Los Angeles Museum of Art and there is a permanent collection there on the Goddesses of South Asian cultures.

All the Godesses were very curvy and voluptuous with curves and large breasts because these were culturally seen as signs of fertility and good health. It also hinted to sexuality which in order to be fertile a woman had to be obviously sexual enough to attract the opposite sex.

I was fascinated since I had posted on this very subject here to see these really voluptuous Hindu statues of women as symbols of abundance and fertility.

They were not thin in any way. They were extrememly curvy. Also these were statues used in Buddist and Hindi meditation and shrine building. So in essence, the celebration of a woman’s voluptuousness was seen as a road to getting to this reall zen like sense of the origins of life - a woman’s body.
