Cannes Premiere: We Own The Night
Joaquin Phoenix, Eva Mendes, Robert Duvall, and director James Gray were on hand at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25, 2007 to premiere their film, We Own The Night.
The cast looked dashing in classic black and white attire, as is appropriate for the so-called “grandaddy of all film festivals”.
Phoenix and Mendes seemed quite playful on the red carpet, pushing each other and just generally horsing around and having a great time.

Someone’s put on weight. And his name ain’t Eva! Still loves him.
Now I agree, there is an attraction between Eva and Joaquin. She might have a boyfriend for many years, but she certainly has something for Joaquin. She cannot keep her hands off of him. He is magnetic. All of you guys who are questioning his physical attraction, you have to look deeper than the continuously wasting physical body. He does not have a pretty-boy look, but he is the most interesting, sexually attractive individual that I have ever witness on the movie screen. The one thing that I wish he would do, and that is to take better care of his temple, meaning his physical body. With all of his caring for animals’ rights, he seems to have no caring for him. He is a national treasure, who has been given the grand opportunity to stand before the masses. I just wish that he would learn to treasure himself they that his fans treasure him.
I find Joaquin dropdead gorgeous. You cannot beat the look he had during the Walk the Line interview at OPRAH. Too bad he fixed his teeth, his previous smile was so sexy! He seems to have gone “down the line” after the oscar buzz dissapointment. I guess the weight thing is just a boring “happy” marriage.
Does anyone know what Eva Mendes is wearing as dresssssss ! I need the designers name !!!! Thanks
I hate his new teeth. Repulsive! He used to have such a sexy smile. Now he looks like such an LA fake.
joaquin is not married, and no matter what anyone says he is not only a fantasmic actor he’s freakin’ sexy and always will be…not to fond of eva though, hope theres nothing going on there.
I don’t think Eva is a good actress and I think she’s ugly. I also believe she gets hired for these parts with white lead males because those leading men are too chicken **** to hire African-American actresses who look like Eva but are prettier, to be their love interests, i.e. Paula Patton. Eva looks like a Cuban who isn’t talented and sleeps her way to the top to find acting work. I mean, Denzel Washington, Will Smith, Nicholas Cage, and now Joaquin Phoenix? What’s up? Did she sleep with any of these directors to get hired?
HE LOOKS AMAZING! and i love the fact that he was just being himself! he’s not ALWAYS moody and GRUMPY looking! it was nice to see him just being relaxed and himself! and i love the entire outfit! he would better with a FROG in his hair!;-) he’s an amazing man and i just adore him! ;-) u rock those VEGAN shoes Babeh! :-)

joaquin just oozes sexuality. Maybe not in Cannes but in his movies. I can’t wait to see how he looks in the press for WOTN & RR. I also like his teeth before with that cute crooked one. When I first saw his new teeth I was surprised.
Eva is such a ****! I hate her! She probably slept with Joaquin to get this part in “We Own the Night.” *********** *****. Joaquin is too good looking for you. :-P
