Hugh Jackman’s Beach Bonding With Kids

Hugh Jackman relaxed in some waters off Bowen, Queensland with his two children, Oscar Maximillian and Ava Eliot.

Jackman, 38, helped his son learn to bodyboard in the ocean and then he watched over his daughter as she climbed some rocks nearby. But Jackman wasn’t just dedicated to his adopted children, he also took some time out to play with the children of his co-stars.

Hugh Jackman is currently in Bowen, Queensland filming the epic Australia with Nicole Kidman.

Australia is set in Northern Australia prior to World War II and centers around the reluctant relationship between an English aristocrat (Kidman) and a rough-hewn cattle driver (Jackman). As the two of them lead 2,000 cattle across Australian land, they encounter first-hand the bombing of Darwin, Australia by the same Japanese forces that bombed Pearl Harbor.

There is no release date set for this film as of this time.

Fantastic body! He’s a nice, humble, funny man too. I always put him in the same category with Ewan McGregor for some reason, nice, smart, funny family men who counteract the trashines and arroganece of other foreign imports like Jude Law and Russell Crowe (he’s a bully,’nuff said).

Hugh has just always said that Oscar as mixed race…Caucasian, African-American, possibly some Native American (he was born in the USA). He’s a cute boy destined to be a handsome man.

“What the hell is with the vein on his right bicep?”

That vein has been noticeable in many, many photos over the years, including ones of Hugh as Wolverine.

I think the vein is because of his working out and lifting weights - it has a name which I read about the other day but can’t recall what it is.

What is wrong with wanting to know what mix his son is, he is gorgeous. People are just curious, chill. I don’t think black meant it as a bad thing.
And mj it is your point of view that is preventing you to see them as a family just because his children are adopted.
I think it’s fair to let fans know which kids are adopted and which ones are biological. To me it is just another thing to know about them. It surely doesn’t make them any less wothy or whatever in my eyes.

mj, nice to hear that you were just goofin’. Wasn’t sure there at first and I was getting ready to get my feathers ruffled because I and my siblings are adopted and no one is ever going to tell me that we aren’t a “real” family. And I wouldn’t suggest that anyone ever go up to Hugh and Deb Jackman and tell them that they and their children aren’t a real family either. Although I’m going to guess that very few would go up to them and say directly to their faces some of things that are said about them around here (Isn’t hiding behind a computer screen in anonimity a lovely thing? Why didn’t we think of it sooner?). Family has NOTHING to do with DNA. A few examples of that are; the biological father who just burned his newborn in a microwave. Or the biological father several years ago who set his little boy on fire in a motel room and left him to die. Or Susan Smith driving her biological sons to their deaths. Or Diane Downs gunning down her three biological children so that she could be with her lover. The list goes on and on.

As for Hugh referring to his children as adopted…he doesn’t. The media does. When it’s brought up to him, he replies along the lines…’until someone mentions it, I forget that they are adopted. They’re just my kids.’

I’m telling you, this is the guy who should be held up as THE role model. So many of these others are living lives that are train wrecks; ******** around, destroying their families. But they seem to be the ones that everyone is interested in and of course the tabs are only interested in scandalous lives, because those are the ones that sell.

‘Fraid a boring family man just doesn’t cut it these days. Good. Who would want that kind of tabloid scrutiny in their lives? And as long as he keeps living the life he’s living now, they should pretty much leave him alone.

My microwave is big enough as well. Ever since that story broke, I think of that poor child every time I open the microwave.

The only thing worse the the child being put in there, is the childs’ so-called Mother ACTUALLY making excuses for the Father.

Horrible.

realistically an 7/8lbs baby can’t fit in a microwave. an oven maybe or a washing machine, not a microwave.

Some microwaves are quite large and some babies are quite small. I know it seems impossible from a physical standpoint (actually, it even seems impossible from a montrous standpoint), but it is fact. It did happen. He somehow managed it.

The baby survived with second degree burns over it’s entire body, but the worry is that, if there is brain damage, it may be irrepareable.

How could someone do this to a baby? Their own little baby? How?

And as for the ethnic heritage of Hugh’s children, he just recently revealed it.

His son is African American/Caucasian/Hispanic/
Hawaiian and Cherokee Indian. He once called him, “a child of the Universe.” Isn’t that beautiful? His daughter is Hispanic and German.
His son was born in Los Angeles and his daughter in Texas making them both American citizens.

He stated that when they first married, their plan was to have two and adopt two. So it was always in their plans to adopt some kids. But sadly when they realized they wouldn’t be parents “naturally”, they just went to plan B. They specifically asked for mixed race children because they didn’t want to wait. There are so many of them available but it seems as though everyone wants a white baby and are willing to wait. The Jackmans weren’t.
They didn’t care. They just wanted a baby.
