Hayden Christensen: I Can’t Wait to Get My Hands Dirty

Genetic lottery winner Hayden Christensen takes the May 2007 cover of enRoute, Air Canada’s monthly inflight magazine.

On discovering his face was plastered all over junk food packaging: “I remember the first time I went into a convenience store after Star Wars II came out. I walked in and saw my face on a bag of chips. Then I realized my face was on every bag of chips in the store and on every pop bottle. I had to turn around and leave. I didn’t even buy the thing I’d gone in to get. It startled me.”

On not being man enough as a teen: “I was a hockey player and then a tennis player. I was embarrassed about the acting. I felt it wasn’t jock enough.”

On his recent farm acquisition: “I recently acquired a farm north of Toronto and I just bought a big excavator and a dump truck and a bobcat – construction toys. I plan to start building soon. I can’t wait to go out there and move dirt and get my hands dirty.”

On dealing with fame’s pressures: “Lifestyle has a lot to do with how often you end up in the tabloids. Daniel Day-Lewis went to Italy and became a cobbler. I went out and bought construction equipment.”

On not being worried about his career: “I take it job by job, and I enjoy my time between projects. I want to still be acting 10 years from now, but then again I don’t know… We’ll see how the farming works out.”

I agree, Red. Jealous Hayden fangirls calling Rachel a troll are just as embarrassing as (Rachel/)Adam fangirls calling Hayden ugly.

It’s safe to say that they are both pretty hot. ;)

But it wouldn’t be nearly as funny without all the teenage drama raging in the comments. Just sit back and have a good laugh. Rachel and Hayden couldn’t care less.

Just off-topic: I prefer Gilmore Girls than that teen cult/fad OC plus the fact that those GG women are more prettier & a lot upright…

Is there really such big fuss if some people are “deadly” implying that Bilson doesn’t really strike that stupendous as her patronizers depicts her to be when it comes to the “looks” department? The likes of Amanda Bynes, Jennifer Garner, Maggie Gyllenhall, or Chloe Sevigny (but at least they are tall!) also falls on that category in Hollywood. But then isn’t that Hayden “always” had this middling & bizarre taste in women?!

IMO, The likes of Amanda Bynes, Jennifer Garner, Maggie Gyllenhall, Chloe Sevigny or even also Hilarie Swank belongs to the “tall yet plain-looking” celebs in Hollywood. Just go figure…
