Agree, something not right about the terrible madeline situation.
Why is no one making a big deal out of the changing stories of what is supposed to have happened?!?!

I’m shocked at the lack of emotion/visable upset shown by the parents, only ONCE I have seen the news with the mother ‘crying’. If it were my child missing, (I’m pregnant with my first :) ) I would be uncontrolably crying (more so because it were MY fault that my child were missing). I would NEVER leave a child so young on their own, this was very stupid and selfish of the parents.

The last thing I would be doing would be leaving the other children in Nursery all day. My god! I would not let them out of my sight!!!Have they not learned anything?!?!?!?

The huge amount of publicity given to one missing child must be so hurtful to all the other parents of children who have gone missing - Parents who were most likely not neglecting them!

I hope that they find little Madeline but it doesn’t mean we cannot discuss dodgy issues surrounding her disappearance.

As for Victoria, we have no idea if she really cares or not - I’d like to think she does, she’s a mum herself but she would have been photographed anyway! So why not place a yellow band on her bag? we’re all discussing and commenting on it and that is making more people aware about missing Madeline.

No, they shouldn’t have left the child on its own, I bet they regret it now, but they can’t change that. And I don’t think crying uncontrollably would get them far to be fair. They’re keeping strong- they have two other children who need their parents and if they are ‘uncontrollably crying’ it won’t be much of a help.

There is a poor child that is either out there somewhere or possibly dead, and you sick humans are saying disgusting things accusing their parents of things you have absolutely no idea of. Well, since Internet is a place to share opinions and controversy, why not write what few people think but are afraid to shout, especially the news trashers? Oh I’ll advise you to search through the Internet too. This is not the first time that this sort of stuff has happene;parents have killed their children so they could move on with a new life.

In England, parents are paranoiid about pedophilia and still, these two went to a foreign country, didn’t take a nany with them, changed their story more than once, causing few people to suspect them.
Don’t you think I felt her pain before? I sure did. But then, they started changing their story and that’s when you’ve got to ask yourself if these two are for real. You might say, they were confused, traumatised by the lost but it still doesn’t explain how selfish, irresponsible and liars they’ve been.
I tell ya, they’re even sicker people than us in this world. And the McCanns are one of them.

I hope it pans out that their story is true, but like others if there are inconsistencies in their story it do bring up suspensions against the parents. That’s just like about 3 or 5 years ago a women claimed a man stole her car and kidnapped her children and after being questioned, story changes and her emotionaless plea people became suspicious about her claim. I mean this woman gave a description of the kidnapper and everything and turned out that she murdered her own adorable children. Just yesterday a woman hung her 4 children and herself and the 8 month old baby survived this heinious crime. So, even thou you hope it is not true and possible that these parents would do such a thing but it is definitely rare but possible.

As tragic as this case is, and as heartbreaking as it is that this beautiful little girl was abducted, the crazy balance of power disgusts me. How many little children go missing every day, do you think? Take something like Uganda for example, thousands of children taken from their homes, forced to take drugs and kill or be killed… these are the people without any power, without any voice… how do you think these parents feel? I don’t fall for conspiracy theories, but I can’t help but think that this story has reached these heights because the McCann family are wealthy, white and British. I hope the little girl is found safe, but I wish her parents would not act like celebrities on their tour of Europe… I understand the idea of staying high on the media agenda but their behaviour alarms me. They are being handed babies to kiss and now meeting the Pope, how far will this go? These people are lucky to have a platform millions would give their lives for. My heart is with ALL the parents who won’t be tucking their little children into bed tonight.

Ellie - We all know that the kids are in school, but don’t you think as a mother you should be with your children alot more than she has? So you think its great that VB jets around the world looking for photo opportunities rather than staying at home a little more often to look after her kids? I feel sorry for you if you think that what she does is good for her kids. Lets all have kids and get the nannies to look after them shall we. How about; they didn’t kill her. How about; she died accidentally at their hands.

Suppose they medicated the kids to make absolutely certain they wouldn’t rouse and wander off. Suppose the child was accidentally overdosed and then died. Or suppose the child threw up in her sleep and choked on her vomit. Suppose Sir Gerry found her and panic set in… flashing before his eyes, not just the loss of his daughter, but the possibility he - and the other doctors if all medicated/sedated their children - and his wife would face charges in the child’s death, possibly the loss of the twins, and most certainly the loss of their careers. What to do?

I don’t think it would have taken him long to figure out that they could never report the child’s accidental death and that they needed a cover scenario. But what? The body cannot be found and subjected to forensic testing so wandering off is out of the question. A child that age can’t wander far and the body would have to be found. What else is there but a kidnapping or abduction. As kidnapping would require contact from a perpetrator and demands for ransom, that rules that one out. Off goes the little body, into a dumpster nearby. Set up the wife and perhaps one or two or all of the good friends, and… cameras roll!

Just a theory, of course. But one that should have just as much validity as the one involving Murat which deems him a suspect for some reason. I have sooo many questions. Did the police thoroughly search the McCanns for evidence that her parents may have been involved in her disappearance? Did they keep narcotics/sedatives in their aparment? If the apartment were not searched, the remaining children not seen by a doctor that night, and the group of friends not also searched, there is probably not a drop of evidence which will ever prove their involvement. The Mr. probably would have had enough intelligence and foresight to dispose of that evidence along with the body, though.

Now, I might allude to a McCann supporter being deluded. But I don’t resort to the name calling and bashing that they do. They mustn’t be very bright, because that seems to be the only tactic they employ in debating this subject.
