is it okay for the baby to be wrapped that way? it didn’t look like it…

She is not jogging, she is walking.

There’s nothing wrong with her taking a walk with her baby in a wrap.

I repeat, there’s nothing wrong with her taking a walk with her baby in a wrap.

I sling my baby and have since she was born. The baby doesn’t get as hot as you would think, first of all. Second, I think it’s awesome she wants to take her baby along with her. It’s called bonding.

Oh, and I love when Vietnam vets stop me to talk about the first time they ever saw a sling (when they see my sling) and talk about the women with little babies on their back while they’re in teh field working hard. In a western culture, many too busy going about their lives while putting babies in strollers or leaving them in the care of others to forget that babies aren’t jello. They can handle a jostle. It’s not a big deal to take a baby for a walk, people!

First of all, it wasn’t hot on Memorial Day people. It was about 70* with a cool breeze. And as a mother of two, who lives in LA, I can tell you that it’s not that big of a deal to take a 1 month old child for a walk in a Moby Wrap. In fact, it’s even better than taking a baby out for a walk in a stroller because the infant feels safe and “swaddled.” And for the person who says you’re supposed to mimick what a mother who just gave birth would have done… What do you after you give birth? Stay in bed for weeks? No, you have to get up and walk around, otherwise it takes longer to recover from your epesiotomy, c-section or whatever. Those who are quick to judge either have no children, or never lose their baby weight because you’re still in bed weeks after delivery!

It looks strange to me too, but if the baby’s really uncomfortable I bet it would start crying like hell and I bet Sheryl would stop running or whatever she’s doing. That’s how babies protect themselves! Good system, huh?

i really and truely dont give a damn about her

Oh come on - give her a break. You really think she’s going to do something that’s bad for the kid?!?!?!? She’s a GREAT Mommy and doesn’t deserve this trash talk.

ummm…yes. Like taking her baby to one of her concert, putting some heavy headphones on his little head and being inconsiderate about the wild crowded and stressful environment of a rock & roll concert for a baby less than a year who seem uncomfortable, out of place and very stressed about the whole thing while she is watching SMILING his sad and discomfort expressions…like a real mother will do when watching the discomfort of her own child…SMILING without raising a finger to stop it for the sake and peace of her child…isn’t it great for a GREAT mother ?

After all, that’s not something bad for the kid, isn’t it ?
