I lurk all the time and sometimes I cannot believe how stupid, dense some people can be. Just look at the picture and it tells its own story. It makes you wonder how they can come to the conclusion some of them come to.

You know, I wonder if these tabloids ever think about the sales from fans they’re losing out on? I’ll be honest, before all of these rags turned on the JP’s, I’d snatch them all up (the pregger stories, the wedding stories, the baby stories, etc.) - especially when they had great pics. But once they started the relentless smears and hit jobs, just nasty stuff - week in and week out, I literally haven’t bought ANY of this trash. So I wonder who they think is buying this stuff, and if it ever occured to them, that they could get whatever market segment IS currently buying their rags, PLUS the fan base of the JP’s, IF they would only STOP going negative all the time. I would really have liked to see a magazine cover Cannes, and Brad and Angie and ther triumphant collaberation and gorgeousness on the red carpet — I guess People might have something. I’m going to start subscribing to them.

ITAWU. actually, those smear job didn’t let Angie and Brad lose their fans but rather gaining more. those smear job didn’t hurt their popularity nor career. just look at recent Cannes festival, not even Leo DC, Jake G., George C can outshine the popularity of this two.

That is the one saving grace, if you can call it that mosquito hawk, good point. The old adage no such thing as bad publicity is true, the worse the tablies lie and make up sh*t and splash them on cover after cover, the bigger and almost mythological Brad and Angelina become. I posed a hypothetocal, and asked myself a very simple question - will all the press harping on Angelina and Brad make people less likely to see ‘A Mighty Heart’ and ‘Ocean’s 13,’ or MORE likely….well we all know the answer to that. LOL!! MORE!! :lol: So bring it on tablies, you’re just making all those little jolie pitt babies richer!

Is it just me or does Pax kinda look like Brad in some of the photos?

I love Maddox’s goofy smile on pic #6. Seems like they were asking if he wanted to feed the whale.

So happy for the family. The children are so blessed. It’s wonderful to see different races and cultures coming together as brothers and sisters, loving each other. I hope many other people will do the same when they adopt. It’s a good, positive thing to do and helps do away with hatred.

So when I come to your home (B&A and JA threads) you see it that I am here all the time but not so, trying stepping off those threads once in awhile might do all of you some good.

I was thinking when I saw the first pics of the marineland adventure that Maddox was such a great brother. He was letting his younger brother take the spotlight. It shows he’s very mature, not bothered by his sibling’s attention. In fact, he wants his younger sibling to have the bonding that he was so lucky to have when it was just Angelina and him. He really acts like the big brother of the brunch. Even when his parents were walking the girls, he took a back seat to the walking behind them. Maddox is very mature and very undertstanding. He’s such a great role model for his siblings. He’s caring and sharing. For all those stupid “haters” who always complain about this or that, you guys are so petty. Like another blogger said, we can’t even imagine what it’s like to be in your relationship. These people are so insecure. I feel sorry for the life you had growing up, to always pointing out little things that might indicate lack of attention. You must be starving for attention.

I thoought Madonna had the world’s must ugliest arms on a woman, but Angelina has stolen the title from her. I am not fat and I have a couple of friends that are very thin and I have never seen a woman with arms like that ever. They do look like Heroin arms.

Angelina Jolie Applauds US Increase for Orphans Funding, But Says There Is More to Be Done

WASHINGTON, May 30 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Angelina Jolie, Honorary Board Chair of Global Action for Children (GAC), applauded President Bush’s increase for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) funding, but cautioned that there is more work to be done. The President called on Congress today to provide $30 billion in funding for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, including care for OVC, over a five year period after the President leaves office. This doubles the current funding of $15 billion over five years which expires in 2008.

With regard to the increase for Orphans and Vulnerable Children, Ms. Jolie said, “We are all very grateful that the President has made this major commitment to these children. These are the world’s children and this is the world’s responsibility, and we hope that other G-8 countries will follow his lead. I will continue to actively lobby on behalf of these children and encourage Congress to follow through on this commitment.”

Ms. Jolie came to Washington late last month for meetings with GAC Executive Director Jennifer Delaney and senior officials at the U.S. Department of State, to call on officials to increase funding to support OVC programs and access to education. GAC is a nonpartisan advocacy coalition focused on increasing funding for programs that support Orphans and Vulnerable Children and provide free primary school education in developing countries.

Delaney, added, “The US has made a noble effort in increasing funding for OVC programs, and we’d like to see the other G8 nations do the same. We hope that the US funding will be used to carry out the mandate of the Orphans in Developing Countries Act, PL-109-95 signed into law by President Bush in 2005. The Act calls for the establishment an office of a full time high-level Special OVC Advisor tasked with coordinating government agencies, so that funding is spent in the most efficient way possible to reach as many children as possible.”

GAC was formed in 2003 as a campaign organized by faith-based, nongovernmental and student organizations dedicated to OVC and the communities that care for them. GAC’s unique strength lies in the diversity of its partners and allies and its ability to mobilize a broad range of constituencies to advocate for children.
