Time Magazine sat down with some of the stars of Ocean’s 13 — Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Ellen Barkin — on the terrace at the Hotel du Cap in Cannes, France.
Here’s are some funny excerpts:
On the subject of charisma, you’ve each been called the last great movie star at one point or another. Are we really running out of movie stars, and is that, like, a problem?
CLOONEY: The last real movie stars were probably Redford and Newman. And things were different then. There wasn’t this amazing amount of magazines and information about them.
DAMON: We didn’t know anything about them.
CLOONEY: There was mystique. They’re 60 feet high, and you paid your buck and a half to go see them. But that’s gone. People know everything about everybody now.
PITT: Jaws came along and proved you could make huge money with blockbusters, and it set this thing in motion that has lowered the subject matter. People like George have been getting good stuff out there, but it’s an industry that pushes people out on the big stage too fast, before they’re ready, and it eats them up as well. It’s a different kind of arena now.
BARKIN: Think about it. Do we know anything about Robert Redford’s children? Does he even have any?
DAMON: I worked with him, and I don’t know.
PITT: I have four, if you haven’t heard.
As we’re talking, there are paparazzi in boats out in the harbor taking pictures. Having just been through the celebrity muck of Cannes, who gets it the worst?
CLOONEY: There’s no question, it’s Brad.
PITT: Well, exponentially, with us together …
CLOONEY: But even before he was with [Angelina Jolie], we used to chum the water with him.
PITT: This is not a joke. They used to send me out to take the hits.
CLOONEY: We were at the airport in Italy. So I walk off the plane, and it’s “Hey, Giorgio!” And I go, “Look! Brad Pitt!” and they’re gone.
DAMON: You described it once as “People were stepping on our faces trying to get to Brad.”
PITT: Ah, well, I don’t take it as a compliment.

Brad pretty much declared he loves her and then said now that is so wrong to admit it on air or something like that, but you know Angie was listening.

Well, if Brad is so unhappy i’m sure he can get to steppin’ at any time, and Angelina would be perfectly fine. You see how she takes care of her kids without Brad and even seems happier away from him. She ain’t gonna be whining about it when it’s ovah!

I don’t think so, her Vogue issue was her first interview about Brad and the kids and didn’t sell very well, it did ok. MC will do ok sales but I’m sure it won’t be the best selling issue at all.

What a LIAR! If the VOGUE issue did not do extremely well, then all of these tabloids and magazines will not be putting Angelina week in and week out on their covers!

If it is true, that Aniston has a new man then I am happy. I think that if her fans see her happy, they will be happy. However, I said 3 weeks ago that Aniston would somehow find a way to get some of the attention since Brad and Angie would be all over the media promoting Oceans 13 & A Mighty Heart. This info about a “handsome blonde haired mystery man is not new” US Weekly reported the sighting and it was a blip on the radar screen. I think Aniston has been over Brad a long time ago, what she is not over is the attention of being Brads wife brought her. She disappeared from sight for over a month, then the very same day Brad arrives in cannes she is photographed. Odd? I use to think Lainey was crazy , but if you notice whenever Brad and Angie are in the spotlight in a positive way she somehow surfaces. The very same day people (the tabloid of “record”) announces her hot date, “Smartwater releases a press release saying Aniston is now a spokesperson/ biz partner with the company. I am sure by next week(right in time for Brads footprints/handprints, Ocean 13 premeire. A picture will suddenly surface with this mystery man. I called it 3 weeks ago.
i hope you caught the sarcasm in “brad is so unhappy’s” posts. she was just making a point to anyone who was hating.

I was watching E News… Peecrust announced the winner of their O13 contest. After congratulating the winner, Peecrest , through clinched teeth, said that he hoped that the winner will have a good time at the LA O13 premiere and that E will not be there because they weren’t invited!
Did anyone else see this, because maybe I imagined this?

I have one simple question: why are all the kissing photos blocked???
It’s very curious… it reminds me of movies directed by ‘Wild’ Bill Wellman. Back in the day, he was a veteran (?) from WWI who became a director. One of his signatures was visually obscuring actors during intimate scenes. For example, in Nothing Sacred, Carole Lombard and Frederick March were hiding in a dark storage crate; their conversation resulted in several kisses, but you never saw their lips connect. You would see Carole’s legs/ankles react; you would see the two in silhouette, but you never saw the actual thing. The same with Ox Bow Incident; Henry Fonda was reading the letter of one of the condemned men out loud; Wellman had Fonda’s eyes obscured by Harry Morgan’s(?) cowboy hat and Fonda’s brim obscured Harry Morgan’s eyes.
Wellman’s belief that truly intimate things doesn’t happen under the glare of a key light. Wouldn’t it be something if that’s Brad and Angelina’s philosophy too?

Could we please stop talking about jennifer on a Brad/Angie site. As a Brad/Angie fan I find this totally wrong. Brad/Angie should be the focus not his x wife! Get back to what’s important here!

Look, i wasn’t being mean, but its not easy to read when its all jumbled together…It not that hard to SPACE!!!
Something tells me that Mickey is very accustomed to his employers making out in his presence.
Considering we rarely see them and we have knowledge of the time in the restarant in NO when Maddox said “My Mommy and Daddy are loving each other” and now these pictures from Prague and Cannes (all times when they thought they were away from the public eye), goodness knows what Mickey has witnessed!
