The Lucky Stars of Ocean’s 13
Time Magazine sat down with some of the stars of Ocean’s 13 — Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Ellen Barkin — on the terrace at the Hotel du Cap in Cannes, France.
Here’s are some funny excerpts:
On the subject of charisma, you’ve each been called the last great movie star at one point or another. Are we really running out of movie stars, and is that, like, a problem?
CLOONEY: The last real movie stars were probably Redford and Newman. And things were different then. There wasn’t this amazing amount of magazines and information about them.
DAMON: We didn’t know anything about them.
CLOONEY: There was mystique. They’re 60 feet high, and you paid your buck and a half to go see them. But that’s gone. People know everything about everybody now.
PITT: Jaws came along and proved you could make huge money with blockbusters, and it set this thing in motion that has lowered the subject matter. People like George have been getting good stuff out there, but it’s an industry that pushes people out on the big stage too fast, before they’re ready, and it eats them up as well. It’s a different kind of arena now.
BARKIN: Think about it. Do we know anything about Robert Redford’s children? Does he even have any?
DAMON: I worked with him, and I don’t know.
PITT: I have four, if you haven’t heard.
As we’re talking, there are paparazzi in boats out in the harbor taking pictures. Having just been through the celebrity muck of Cannes, who gets it the worst?
CLOONEY: There’s no question, it’s Brad.
PITT: Well, exponentially, with us together …
CLOONEY: But even before he was with [Angelina Jolie], we used to chum the water with him.
PITT: This is not a joke. They used to send me out to take the hits.
CLOONEY: We were at the airport in Italy. So I walk off the plane, and it’s “Hey, Giorgio!” And I go, “Look! Brad Pitt!” and they’re gone.
DAMON: You described it once as “People were stepping on our faces trying to get to Brad.”
PITT: Ah, well, I don’t take it as a compliment.

Hey, Cliniqua, I did not know you are actually Angelina! Boy, we had Angie in our midst all this time and we did not know it? How’s Brad and the kids?
HA HA HA HA!
Boy, I ventured into TMZ for the first time in a long time and I see that nothing has changed. The haters are still bent on hating this woman who has done nothing wrong to them. These evil posters are still harping on the weight, Shiloh vs the adoptive kids, etc. etc. I really feel dirty having read their posts. Thank God we have Jared!

The studio is predicting the movie will open at number 3 with around 20-25 million. Surf up will be No 1 with around 50-55 million, No 2 Pirates with 40-45 and No 3 oceans.

Hey Stop it!!!!!
Oh, now I get it!!!!
It’s you, the lovers, that are writting under my name, to start chaos, or to make me leave. But, you know what? I’m staying.
You need films that bring in the women. The ‘old guys’ are the A list of Hollywood today. They are only old when you compare them to 20 year olds. There are no really cool 20 year old men that are worth seeing on film rather than DVD. The good ones start at 30 and up. Leo only just started getting interesting and in The Aviatorwhen he got away from that awful (his words) Titanic role.
Yes, I really like BAMPZS, but was just trying to inject some fun in this thread.
To Brisers
I hear ya. I went on TMZ also and the hate was spilling over big time. I had to get out of there with the quickness.
Sorry guys for all the bad things I said about Angie. In my heart I honestly believes that she is a wonderful mother and all around good person. Being on this thread has open my eyes to how truly loved she is by so many wonderful people. Please forgive me for all the horrible things I said about her. I’m starting to come around to seeing that they are happy and in love. Mmmmm, I hope that you can open your eyes too.
LMAO after reading the whole article, they are so funny. :)
Casting Call: ‘Midnight’ For Reese & Baby Shiloh’s Debut?
LOS ANGELES (May 31, 2007) — Reese ready to stay up until “Midnight.” Mark Wahlberg knows what’s “Happening” with M. Night Shyamalan. Plus, baby Shiloh’s Hollywood debut? It’s all in today’s Access Hollywood Casting Call…
She may not even be out of diapers yet, but could Brad and Angelina’s baby be ready for her first Hollywood close-up? Shiloh Jolie-Pitt will reportedly make a cameo alongside her daddy in the upcoming film “Benjamin Button,” according to IMDB.com.
The 1-year-old baby is listed in the film credits for the new drama, which centers on an old man (Pitt) who physically ages backward. At age 50, he falls in love with a 30-year-old woman and then must come to terms with the relationship as they literally grow in opposite directions.
Access Hollywoodhas contacted the studio behind the film to confirm Shiloh’s appearance in the film. We are still waiting to hear back.
The drama, which also stars Cate Blanchett, is currently in production.
…
Reese Witherspoon is set to star in Universal’s new film “Midnight,” a remake of the 1939 comedy, according to Variety.
The film, which originally starred Claudette Colbert, follows a destitute young woman in Paris who becomes a pawn when a wealthy man tries to get rid of the gigolo wooing his wife.
The remake will be written by Michael Arndt, who won the Oscar for “Little Miss Sunshine.”
Reese will next be seen on the big screen in the dramedy “Penelope,” alongside Christina Ricci.
…
Mark Wahlberg knows what’s “Happening”… and now so does Zooey Deschanel.
Deschanel has signed on to star alongside Wahlberg in M. Night Shyamalan’s new thriller “The Happening,” per Variety.
The fright flick, which follows a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity, is set to begin shooting in August in Philadelphia.
Deschanel’s film credits include “Bridge to Terabithia,” “Failure To Launch” and “Elf.” She lends her voice to the upcoming animated feature “Surf’s Up.”
Wahlberg will next be seen opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Eva Mendes in the crime drama “We Own the Night,” slated for release later this year.
…
Oscar Winner Helen Mirren is in talks to star in a film set in the Gaza Strip, as a woman whose journalist daughter falls in love with a Palestinian and is killed, reports Reuters.
The as-of-yet-untitled project is described as more human interest than political and is expected to be shot in Jordan because of the fighting in Gaza.
Mirren took home the Oscar in February for her role in “The Queen.”

Isn’t it so horrible? I wouldn’t want to meet these posters in a dark alley! I left TMZ quickly and now I feel like I have to take a bath! It is so dirty there, much like Female First (that’s what FF is, L in Philly). And yet they keep on posting about Brad and Angelina. I guess they need their hits.
Pax is officialy a Jolie-Pitt!!!!!!!
