Angelina Jolie: The Cradle of Life
Angelina Jolie cradles 3-year-old son Pax and 2-year-old daughter Zahara in her arms, into the American Embassy compound for school on Thursday in Prague, Czech Republic.
Security officer Mickey Brett (not pictured) was also on hand in one of his famous pink t-shirts. Gotta love the pink!
In was announced yesterday that Pax Thien Jolie officially became joined the Jolie-Pitt club according to a decree signed Thursday by Superior Court Judge Gerald Rosenberg. Jolie filed legal papers in April to include Pitt’s last name. Good dad Brad Pitt still has not formally adopted the little guy… yet.

Where is everyone? Usually when I come across a Jolie-Pitt photo there are already hundreds of comments. Just a matter of time I suppose…
Even though a dressed up Angie & Brad take my breath away; seeing them in their everyday life as the terrific parents they are always impresses me the most. I am so glad that these two HW stars found eachother because together they are perfection. What impresses me the most about them is that they are not typical Hollywood diva types, they are down to earth and put family first….a lesson most stars would benefit from, as well as everyone else.

I don’t know why she doesn’t let them walk. Brad does. I know everyone is going to jump and tell me that she is protecting them from the paparazzi. But they can walk together and she could hold their hands, as Brad does. That would be easier for her, but then again, it wouldn’t impress people as much and then she wouldn’t be called Amazing Mother. I don’t know. It’s only an observation. No need to insult me.

Pregnancy and Brad
She said this about getting pregnant.. Everyone told her it would take about 6 months, but it seems as if the first time they tried, Brad hit the spot. She talks about Namibia, the birth etc…She LOVED being prenant and Brad found it sexy too..
She says a lot about Brad, but this stood out: “He ’s much more of a man, than any man I’ve ever met.”
Angie finds Brad HOT when he’s with the kids.
She’s got a tattoo for Brad. The interviewer asks her where are Brad’s coordinates (since she has one for all her kids) Angie: “Brad’s is somewhere else!”
On Marriage
We are not against it. It just doesn’t seem necessary. He & I have never discussed in detail, but I would assume-because we both went down that road before - its not that contract or that cermony that makes you feel solid. We’ve gone the back way around, and maybe there is something to that - that its hard work and the exhaustion and the children that really make you solid.

The death of her Mom.
She talked about her mom dying. She’s happy her mom met her kids and that Marcheline picked the name Pax. Brad was there for her and took care of everything. Also her strongest memory of that day her mom died, was Brad consoling Jamie while he cried. She got there an hour before she passed. BillyBob also helped her and gave her advise.

She did Wanted because she/the family thought it would be a good idea for her to work, do some light work. She realizes that things were getting heavy and she needed something to help pick her up

Well, AF, she could have hold four hands… kids’ hands are so small! And surely she is only carrying two kids to show us she is a caring mother! And if she really wanted to, she could have had Shiloh in a sling and Maddox attached to a leg. Now they can start break up rumors because Brad is in Canada filming and here she is Prague. And wait, where is Shiloh. Gosh, the blob must not be loved since she isn’t going to school. Oh what? My eyes cross when I read some of the negative posts. Angie can do nothing right, yet you have all these defenders of Britney who in my opinion is not a very good mom and is totally messed up. Folks defend Gwen Stefani and she called her kid a blob (oh yes,that was only to show sympathy with Angie and their friendship–she didn’t really mean it) and she takes her kid everywhere and never lets him walk. And look at Heidi and Seal starting their own multi-racial family dynasty. Ah, but they are giving birth naturally in this over populated world instead of adopting children who need parents, so that is okay.

I’m not meaning to offend, but do try to understand, you can’t advice somebody else on parenting skills because there’s really no absolute right on this. (W/ the exception of the obvious ones–like sans physical and mental abuse.) What works for one may not work for another. You try to raise your kids the best way you can. Even the revered actor Gregory Peck, who was clearly a very good and supportive father, couldn’t save his son from suicide. (Sorry to bring up such a somber subject.) Just because a parenting technique works for you doesn’t mean it works for everybody else.

Does anyone know of another star who has openly discussed her lust for her partner, how many times they had sex before she got pregnant, what he finds sexy, where her tattoos are, etc.? Here are the quotes from the article:

OMG another new thread. JJ is on the ball. I’m still swooning off the Cannes trip. The Marie Claire interview seems really different. first Reader’s Digest now Marie Claire. Which Marie Clair is it? I hope someone from the magazine comes forward to the press about them getting this exclusive before the tabs steal quotes and put them on the cover as if they got the exclusive. From the snippets I’ve read, there seems to be some interesting new things. the haters will say there Angelina goes talking about herself again, but never mind those tired people. We all know that when you have a new film out, the media wil request interviews with the primary actors to coincide with the film. Brad’s been talking non stop for his Oceans’13 film promos.
Since June is here we can look forward to Ocean’s 13 premieres, charity events and the A Mighty Heart premieres as well.
The naysayers can talk all negative about Angelina being skinny, but she sure is strong. She may look slight, but I have the feeling that she can bench press her own weight, LOL!!!!!

When Brad was in Prague he has all the time in the world, so he can let the kids walk no matter how slow they are.
On the other hand, Angie has to go to the WAnted set after dropping the kids off. Im supposing she is running late that she has to carry the kids. And if you look closely, it looks like the kids had just been eating something, has some crumbs in their mouth, they probably had their breakfast in the car, too. My kids do the same especially when they are running late.

Why all the insults and accusations of Angelina’s weight? She has been on the record saying that if she could snap her fingers and put on 15 pounds she would. I have seen photos of her eating McDonalds as well as other (fattening) food. Angelina has said she is naturally thin and does not work out or diet. As for the vissible veins in her arms….get a clue before you start attacking. This is due to low body fat. I am a size 2 and I have the same thing. People that work out and have low body fat have the same thing. It does not mean anorexia or starvation. Angie has usually been on the thin side and has expressed that she would love to be more curvy; most women would love that problem. Obvioulsy she is an extremely active woman who is not intentionally trying to look thin through starvation or drugs like the others you compare her to. She may be thin compared to you but men would love to have a woman like her and most women would love to look like her - get over the envy.

DETROIT - Immigration aid workers here expect that as many as half of the nearly 7,000 Iraqi refugees who will be brought into the United States by the end of September will settle in the area.
Lutheran Social Services of Michigan has received government data on numerous refugees recommended for resettlement, said Belmin Pinjic, the service’s director of refugee services.
“That’s the first sign that someone is in the process and should be coming,” he said. “How long that process should take, we don’t know.”
The agency has already started to contact the prospective refugees’ family members who live in the Detroit area, Pinjic said.
The Department of Homeland Security said this week it has approved the refugee applications of 59 Iraqis who should be arriving in the coming weeks. The department provided no details about where they would settle but said it has already completed interviews in refugee cases involving more than 700 men, women and children.
The Bush administration announced in February it would allow up to 7,000 Iraqis into the U.S. by the end of September — up from 202 in 2006. It would be the largest Iraqi influx since the 2003 invasion.
Besides contacting relatives of refugees, immigration groups in the Detroit area have been locating translators, transportation and housing, and fielding donations of furniture, clothing and appliances, Pinjic said.
Southeastern Michigan has about 300,000 people who trace their roots to the Middle East. They are heavily concentrated in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, widely considered the capital of Arab America because of its national Arab-American museum, many mosques and scores of Arabic-signed businesses.
Pinjic and others expect that as many as half of the new refugees will come to the area — either initially or after first resettling elsewhere.
Iraqi community leaders in Los Angeles and Orange County, Calif., which also have large Iraqi populations, said they hadn’t yet heard of any refugees being settled in the area. They also complained about the small number of refugees being allowed to enter the U.S. compared with the 2 million who have fled Iraq.
“Fifty-nine people is too little, too late,” said Imam Mostafa Al-Qazwini, leader of the Islamic Educational Center of Orange County. “What’s the big deal about 59 coming here when we have hundreds of thousands of people in Syria, Jordan, Iran and others displaced inside Iraq?”
Mosques in Southern California helped resettle refugees after the 1991 Gulf War, he said. They provided English classes, health services and financial help to new arrivals, he said, and would be ready and willing to do so again.
Tennessee also is bracing for refugees. Nashville is home to the nation’s largest community of expatriate Kurds, estimated at 8,000. They were a persecuted minority under Saddam Hussein’s rule.
“Frankly, we’ve got so many Iraqis … (they’ll) be easy,” said Holly Johnson, director of refugee and immigration services for Nashville-based Catholic Charities of Tennessee. “They’re the least of our worries.”
Nashville immigration groups also are preparing for refugee groups from Burma and Burundi, she said.

She is NOT doing the Eastwood movie. She does two months in Prague…then she’s off in July and August…then she goes back to work late August/Sept on Wanted. Then she’s done. Brad Pitt has his role in Burn after reading and then he starts State of Play in Nov. They do not work at the same time. How many times do people have to explain this? She’s not doing the Changeling. After Wanted is completed she’s done for a year. Her manager told you she’s only scheduled to work about 45 days this year. Let alone, what she said in Cannes

I don’t think Angelina is doing the Changelina either. That film was fast tracked because Brian Grazer and Ron Howard wanted Howard to direct it but to make a long story short he can’t because of prior commitments.
The Changeling would be a lead role and while Eastwood is known to film fast, I doubt she’s doing it. She has a lot on her plate and from her interviews w/Ann Curry, Marie Claire and from Cannes it’s clear she needs/wants downtime with Brad and their kids. Wanted is being filmed in Prague and the second crew is also filming in Chicago right now. She’ll be in Chicago in Sept/October to complete her part. All that depends on the agreed upon shooting dates Pitt has for the Clooney project and then State of Play. It sounds like Pitt will film Burn After Reading in August/Sept and then Jolie finishes Wanted and then he starts SOP.

The reports from Cannes said Angelina would continue working on “Wanted” for a couple of months, she’d take 2 months off, and work on another movie for 2 months after that. U.S. reports & blogs misunderstood her, and said she’s still working on “Wanted” after her 2-month break.
I think the last movie she’ll work on is Clint Eastwood’s “Changeling.” That’s just too good an opportunity to postpone. I’m already expecting the “Angelina broke her word again” chorus when she starts shooting the “Changeling.”
And as another poster said, taking a break doesn’t mean Angelina will disappear. If “A Mighty Heart” does well, she might have to appear at events and awards ceremonies. She has her UN duties (including conferences, if not field work).
Eastwood works fast and it’s possible “Chnageling” will be release in 2008 - which means Angelina has premieres & openings to go through, as well as publicity junkets. If “Wanted” is released next year too, that’ll be another set of events/premieres/publicity work.
It’s possible Angelina might be very visible in her off year, and the haters will scream about her breaking her promise and being a publicity ***** (their word, not mine).
Beowulf and Kung Fu Panda are in post-production. Animated movies take minimally a yea up to 5 years to finish for release. Whenever they are released, Angelina will have promotion & publicity to do. (I hope Angelina & Brad take all their kids to Kung Fu Panda’s premiere - that would be BEYOND CUTE.)

Good interview! I also found it interesting when she said that he liked it when she told the world how crazy in love she was over him…it made him happy. I don’t like to think of Billy Bob as a dirty old man but that comment struck me as someone who knows that he is envy by men and some women in this world by being with Angelina and he wanted to show her off as his. I kinda understand now why they didn’t work out.

WATERFORD, Pennsylvania (AP) — Two toddlers who wandered away from home while their teenage baby sitter slept accidentally drowned in a nearby pond in northwestern Pennsylvania, officials said.
The babysitter told state police she put the girls down for a nap Wednesday and then took a nap herself. When she awoke, 20-month-old Jenna Walker and 2-year-old Maggie Kovski were gone, state police Cpl. Mark Zaleski said.
Rescuers were called at about 11:15 a.m. after the baby sitter found the bodies floating in a small, man-made fishing pond about 100 yards away from the home.
Chris Barber, chief of Stancliff Hose Co., said the 18-year-old sitter was frantically trying to help the children when emergency workers arrived.
“She was performing CPR, and when I got there, I started CPR on the youngest one,” Barber said. “They had no pulse. They were not breathing.”
Authorities did not identify the 18-year-old sitter, who is a relative of Jenna and lived in the house in this rural Pennsylvania town,15 miles south of Erie. Maggie was a neighbor.
Investigators said Thursday afternoon that they believe they know how the toddlers got out of the house, got to the pond and other details. District Attorney Brad Foulk said he would not discuss those details to protect the family’s privacy and because authorities planned to conduct more interviews.
“I’m sure that everyone understands that this is just a horrific tragedy for everyone involved,” Foulk said.
A woman who answered the phone at the Walker home said the family did not want to talk about the accident. The Associated Press could not locate a telephone number for Kovski’s family.
Coroner Lyell Cook determined that the girls drowned and ruled the deaths accidental.
The ruling would not preclude criminal charges if investigators determined the baby sitter was negligent or reckless, Cook said.

The actress, 38, has invested in bottled-water brand smartwater and will appear in posters and print ads for it, smartwater’s New York City-based parent company, Glaceau, has announced.
As part of the partnership, Glaceau said in a statement, Aniston “co-created a limited-edition smartwater label, which will be available in stores across the country this July.” The ads and billboards, shot by famed fashion photographer Mario Testino, are due to appear this summer.

It would really behoove someone at Jossip to get a copy of the Star and do a little investigative reporting of their own. They close this post with this sentence - “And then blames Bonnie Fuller for “dropping the ball.”
Bonnie Fuller is no longer in charge of the Star. Whoever runs Jossip needs to get with the program. She’s been gone for well over a month now. A few weeks ago Jossip had another story that they blamed on Fuller and I sent them an e-mail and said that Bonnie Fuller is no longer EIC at Star and has been moved elsewhere within American Media, if not terminated completely by now, and that the new EIC is Candace Trunzo…but they keep right on blaming Bonnie Fuller for the antics at the Star. I’m in no way defending Bonnie Fuller…but if Jossip is going to snark at the tabs, the least they could do is blame the right people! Bonnie Fuller may be a liar and a perpetrator of fraud…but…these last 4 or 5 issues of the Star have just been beyond pathetic in how obviously their stories are fake. Hey Guys - I didn’t stop doing them because Sammie’s was down. I usually go to Barnes & Nobles and read them. I stopped because I got burned out. It took a lot of time to do them because I stupidly tried to cover every tabs’ story in it’s entirety. What I’ll probably do is pick one or two of the more ridiculous stories and do a report on them. The new L&S that came out today has a particular stench and it’s just begging to be ridiculed, so my intent is to try to do a report on it this weekend and maybe incorporate some of the stuff in the preceding weeks that led up to their current issue. L&S is like a really bad episode of Dynasty when Sammie Jo & Alexis or Alexis and Krystal would snipe at each other wearing big shoulder pads and over-teased hair. Sometimes I would watch it just to see which actress was the worst. I think L&S is the prime contender for Worst Tabloid, but they’re neck and neck with the Star, so it’s too close to call right now.

That’s why I don’t believe that anyone knows the future. We can hope for certain things to happen but I don’t believe that you can tell what’s going to happen. For Brad and Angie, it’s always divided between these psychics. Half of them say they’re not breaking up, the other half say they are. I remember one psychic was on one of the entertainment shows during Michael Jackson’s trial and swore up and down that Michael was going to be convicted and go to jail. When the jury came back with the results and basically cleared Michael, it just reinforced for me that no one can tell the future.
