Surprise! As predicted back in October 2006, Jennifer Aniston is officially the new spokesperson for electrolyte-pumping smartwater.
According to the press release, Aniston co-created a limited-edition smartwater label, available in July.
Billboards and print publications of Aniston’s ads, as shot her photographer pal Mario Testino, will be plastered everywhere this summer.
“We were thrilled that Jennifer discovered smartwater and realized what a difference it makes to her healthy lifestyle,” said Rohan Oza, Senior Vice President of Marketing, smartwater. “To us, Jennifer truly embodies what smartwater is all about as she combines substance and style like nobody else.”

Did you see the various studies that said we’d just as well drink tap water? It’s not universal - San Francisco Bay Area tap water is the best I’ve ever tasted; San Diego’s bad, (so I bought Mom Britta filters).
Do you know how EXPENSIVE bottled water is? My brother-in-law sent me this figure:

We buy celebrity-endorsed water (Jennifer Aniston, Fifty Cents, etc.) because subliminally we consumers think by drinking the water we’ll be like them: fabulously wealthy, famous, well traveled, easier and fun career, posh clothes, desired by fantastic lovers, lots of friends, eat at elite restaurants and drive elite cars (Ferraris, Maseratis, Bentleys), etc. That’s what ads are all about, after all, wish fulfillment. Ever notice at car shows and in print ads the long-legged, suggestively clothed beauties with the cars? They don’t do it so much anymore in tv commercials. I can’t tell you how many ads I’ve seen in my life with a busty blonde in short-shorts straddling the hood of a car.

I do agree that drinking water is good for your health. But I just want to remind that water is natural, a good for everybody coming something from Mother Earth. WTF are you smoking, boy? Brad is disrespecting Angelina? Pray tell, how is he doing that? When he finished shooting film in Montreal he could have told her “hey babe, see you sometime next week in LA”. Instead of which, he flew all the way back to Prague to bring her and the kids back to LA. He couldn’t be away from his family for five days. On the other hand, he had no problem being away from Chinnochio for FIVE MONTHS while he was shooting “Troy”. During which time, lets not forget, she didn’t come to see him once. Some “devoted wife”, yeah, right. Angie would have moved the whole family to Brad’s location just to be with him.
I don’t know what ‘beautiful photos” of Jen you’re talking about, but if you mean those photos of her shilling Smartwater with her anvil face, give me a break. I LOVE smartwater. Jennifer is fit, healthy, and has the appeal. A win-win for both SmartWater and Jen!
I’ve never been a part of Jennifer’s following but I will always have admiration her because she offered nothing but silence when the whole world waited to see how very hurt she was. Whatever words she may have had, she kept them locked behind nine doors at least and made sure that nobody would hear. Her strength and self-respect deserve far more admiration than her ex’s glorious affair, which he started to flaunt when his marriage wasn’t even over yet, and the other woman’s somewhat saccharine stories about true love found at last. It’s interesting that I don’t have a thing against Angelina Jolie but I can never watch her interviews with Ann Curry to the end because something always strikes me as a very insincere behavior: the way she turns her eyes or the way she smiles as if she’s trying hard to win hearts and minds. I don’t know.
I love Aniston. She’s gorgeous, independent, & didn’t turn on Brad Pitt even though he turned into an ass. I think all women can admire her.
