Surprise! As predicted back in October 2006, Jennifer Aniston is officially the new spokesperson for electrolyte-pumping smartwater.
According to the press release, Aniston co-created a limited-edition smartwater label, available in July.
Billboards and print publications of Aniston’s ads, as shot her photographer pal Mario Testino, will be plastered everywhere this summer.
“We were thrilled that Jennifer discovered smartwater and realized what a difference it makes to her healthy lifestyle,” said Rohan Oza, Senior Vice President of Marketing, smartwater. “To us, Jennifer truly embodies what smartwater is all about as she combines substance and style like nobody else.”

I don’t care what anybody said. The ad looks great but that chin just takes it away. She looks great from the top of her head until where her nose is. After that, her chin looks like the JOKER.
With that ads Jen’s going to increase her income, very soon she’s got 200 Mio $! Congratulation to her business smartness. In fact she has no need to do any film business. We can buy her water, and she gets richer and richer.
Water is water. I have always drunk water with or without Jen’s ads. Nothing new for me and it has nothing to do with lifestyle. People have always drunk water. Coke is an invention of the 20th century.

Smartwater is not making a smart decision here. Chin Chin as your spokes person is like fools wake up and be smart with your smart water. Profits are about to fall big time.
Did you see the various studies that said we’d just as well drink tap water? It’s not universal - San Francisco Bay Area tap water is the best I’ve ever tasted; San Diego’s bad, (so I bought Mom Britta filters).
Do you know how EXPENSIVE bottled water is? My brother-in-law sent me this figure:
“Evian water 9 oz $1.49……….$21.19 per gallon! $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don’t even know the source.” In comparison, gas is cheap.
We buy celebrity-endorsed water (Jennifer Aniston, Fifty Cents, etc.) because subliminally we consumers think by drinking the water we’ll be like them: fabulously wealthy, famous, well traveled, easier and fun career, posh clothes, desired by fantastic lovers, lots of friends, eat at elite restaurants and drive elite cars (Ferraris, Maseratis, Bentleys), etc. That’s what ads are all about, after all, wish fulfillment. Ever notice at car shows and in print ads the long-legged, suggestively clothed beauties with the cars? They don’t do it so much anymore in tv commercials. I can’t tell you how many ads I’ve seen in my life with a busty blonde in short-shorts straddling the hood of a car.

It’s sad to see that the oly thing people can say about this girl is how big her chin is or how big her nose is. I wonder how many of these commentors have physical imperfections. Does everyone really want to look all the same? Does everyone really think plastic surgery is the answer? It’s just sad.
