Rodrigo Santoro @ ALMA Awards 2007
Rodrigo Santoro (Lost, King Xerxes in 300), one of the most sought-after Brazilian actors, was on hand for the 2007 ALMA Awards held on Friday, June 1, 2007 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Pasadena, CA.
Santoro, 31, was there to present the award for “Outstanding Actor - Motion Picture”. The nominees in the category were Gael García Bernal (Babel), Jesse Garcia (Quinceañera), and Michael Peña (World Trade Center).
The winners will be announced on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 when the 2007 ALMA Awards are broadcast on ABC at 9PM EDT. Tune in then to see who wins!

I hope we can see more of him at JJ. I was so mad that they killed him off on LOST, he was the only reason why I started to watch, now I dont watch it anymore.
I think he is fantastic. I had never heard of him until he was on a late night talk show to promote “300″ a few months ago. Couldn’t take my eyes off of him. When I heard him say he only learned to speak English in the past three years I was amazed. He has completely mastered it! Believe me, I don’t say everyone has to speak English, no! But if you want to be in movies where they do, it is smart to work at it until you get it right, which he has. Could someone PLEASE get the memo out to Penelope Cruz and Antonio Bandaras, because they are impossible to comprehend when they attempt English. He puts them to shame! Love him….

OMG, I remember how cute he was in his first TV, job a Brazilian soap. He’s hot but not aging well. His jaws are starting to show the effect of gravity. Not to worry, Brazil has better plastic surgeons than the US…
