To celebrate Angelina Jolie’s 32nd birthday, here is her cover and inside photo spread from the upcoming issue of Esquire Magazine. Angelina is sporting some sort of thumb-pointer-finger ring in the armchair shot. How bizarre… but beautiful!
On Pax sleeping in the same bed as Brad & Angie: “Right now, Pax is sleeping in our bed. It’s kind of nice, him immediately knowing and feeling comfortable with us. Madd slept with me until Brad and I got together. They’re fun to sleep with. We have family sleep on Sundays. Everybody sleeps together.”
On wanting to be remembered for being more than an actress: “I have no animosity toward Hollywood or the demands of the red carpet, all that silliness. That’s my job, and I’m happy to have it. But when I die, do I want to be remembered as an actress? No. I recently had an op-ed (column) published in a newspaper. And at the end, it didn’t say I was an actress. It said that I was a UN goodwill ambassador and that’s all. And I was really proud.”
On finding meaning as a citizen of the world: “I entered this business before I had focus and purpose in my life. I was very unhappy, very unhealthy, and when I sat down for an interview, I didn’t know why. I felt like I didn’t have anything to share. It was a very empty time.”
On splitting time with her children: “I try to make sure that each of my children has enough of my attention to feel equal. I try to make sure that my relationship with the man in my life is solid and complete and we’re very connected and having a great life together and enjoying our children and being part of the world. So that’s my life.”
On being a homebody as of late: “We don’t go to parties. We hardly ever leave the house. We try to schedule time when we’re alone.”
On switching things up with their lives and their children: “Some people have their lives together and then they have their children. Brad and I are starting with the children and are planning to have our time together in our later years.”

Isn’t it funny how a woman like Angie just blows some people’s minds?
Yes, people… a woman can be a mother, child, lover, and philantropist all at the same time.
Too many people still have the belief that there are only two kinds of women, the madonna or the harlot. Well, well, not true! I say we can be both, and Angie is one of the few public people who is living proof that you can embrace all of the incarnations of WOMAN. You don’t have to choose one or the other, and you don’t have to leave your sexuality behind in the dust.
Angie is the perfect melding of both the “sinner” and “saint” archetypes that most of us working mothers struggle to integrate. Angie refuses to be put into a box and have those labels put on her by anybody (society, religions, etc…).
She’s a wonderful example of strong womanhood, so naturally established society is threatened by her and wants to tear her apart.

Angie is never boring. After her mother’ death, she is more serious but also having more fun (as she said in Ann Curry’ dateline interview). She has more things to accomplish and enjoying every minute of her life.

Oh wow…Brad was in Prague yesterday. I guess this means that he wasn’t in NOLA or LA like like people were claiming. I’m shocked.

Oh My goodness! And this ladies is why AJ is an intriguing woman. There’s no one side to her, she’s sexy, she’s mother earthly, she is sweet, she’s sassy but most of all, she is a woman who isn’t afraid to show all these sides of her.
