Actress and UN goodwill ambassador Angelina Jolie looks her flawless self in the July 2007 issue of Marie Claire magazine.
On when she’s most talkative: “I don’t know how he does it, but … I talk a lot in the bath. It’s easier to talk when you’re naked … Get naked with me, and I’ll talk!”
On her growing relationship with Brad Pitt: “I think we both went on a lot of faith – we really did. Our family has grown very quickly, and we have a lot of responsibility together, and we acknowledge that we are lucky we turned out be for each other everything we’d hoped. We could have been very wrong, but every challenge we hit has brought us closer. It has been that kind of relationship.”
On good dad Brad: “It’s hot. There’s nothing sexier than a man who is a great father.”
On being especially happy for son Maddox: “I’m so happy for my children – especially Mad. I didn’t know if he was ever going to have a dad. So when I watch them having real strong father-son time, or even when Mad tells me, ‘This is a boy thing, Mom’ – it’s just really beautiful to see.”
On Pax’s underwear trouble: “I’m still having trouble convincing Pax that underwear and pants go together - underwear is not pants!”
On Zahara undoing her hair: “You do her hair; She takes it out. It’s like everybody just starts to undress once you’ve gotten them dressed.”
Oh Shiloh recently learning how to walk: “So she’s falling and trying to eat everything in the place.”

Oh couldnt they have use a better pictures of her.Older pictures of her would have been cute she doesnt look as great as she would have had they use older photos.what happen?

The Esquire article starts out this way :
This is a 9/11 story. Granted, it’s also a celebrity profile of Angelina Jolie- and so calling it a 9/11 story may sound like a stretch. But that’s the point. It is a 9/11 story because its a celebrity profile- because celebrities and their perceived power are a big part of the strange story of how America responded to the attacks upon it. And no celebrity plays a bigger role in that strange story than Angelina Jolie.

The pictures are not recent or photoshopped her hair is shorter and she only has three co-ordinates on her arm so obviously they were taken just after she adopted pax.

Bringing this over from the other thread… The reason I ABSOLUTELY HATED THE ESQUIRE INTERVIEW
I was really disappointed in the interview because it was like the j*rk interviewer was trying to make fun of all the work she has done….How many times are “they” gonna use that angle”… The woman is for f*cking real…. No one pretends to do this stuff for 6/7 f*ing yrs…. And its like NO MATTER how many times she tries to dismiss the tab sh*t, “legit” media cant seem to leave it behind. Everyone and their mother KNOWS about her past, does it have to be mentioned in every f*ing article.
This jerk goes into the long cr*p about her “twisted double life” that US Weekly wrote about. Then when they mention AMH this is what the jerk wrote…

The only part i liked about this interview was when he went into detail about all the stuff she has done in Cambodia and even then the way he presented it was off and this….

So thats my life. Its not split in half. Its not one side takign over the other. I have no animosity towards H/W or the demands of the red carpet, all its sillyness. That’s my job and i’m happy to do it.. But when i die, do i want to be remembered as an actress? No. I recently had an op-ed published in a newspaper. And at the end, it didn’t say i was an actress. It said that i was a UN GWA - thats all. And I was really proud. I said, Hey, Brad, I’m not just an actress anymore.

In a way the song ties in with what Angelina says in the Marie Claire article about her and Brad going by faith. They have really supported each other and have shown trust, admiration and respect for each other. Like someone said earlier - a very giving type of love.

Jolie: ‘We have family sleeps on Sundays’
Angelina Jolie, who won an Oscar for 1999’s “Girl, Interrupted,” says she wants to be remembered for her humanitarian work.
“I have no animosity toward Hollywood or the demands of the red carpet, all that silliness,” Jolie, 32, tells Esquire magazine in its upcoming July issue. “That’s my job, and I’m happy to have it. But when I die, do I want to be remembered as an actress? No.”
“I recently had an op-ed (column) published in a newspaper,” she continues. “And at the end, it didn’t say I was an actress. It said that I was a UN goodwill ambassador — that’s all. And I was really proud.”
Jolie, an activist for issues ranging from global poverty to wildlife conservation, says she has found meaning as a citizen of the world.
“I entered this business before I had focus and purpose in my life,” says Jolie. “I was very unhappy, very unhealthy, and when I sat down for an interview, I didn’t know why. I felt like I didn’t have anything to share. It was a very empty time.”
Today, her life is far from empty. Jolie and her partner, Brad Pitt, 43, have four children: 5-year-old Maddox, who was adopted from Cambodia; 3-year-old Pax Thien, who was adopted from Vietnam; 2-year-old Zahara, who was adopted from Ethiopia; and daughter, Shiloh, who was born to the couple a year ago.
“I try to make sure that each of my children has enough of my attention to feel equal. “We don’t go to parties. We hardly ever leave the house. “Right now, Pax is sleeping in our bed. It’s kind of nice, him immediately knowing and feeling comfortable with us,” she says. “Madd slept with me until Brad and I got together. They’re fun to sleep with. We have family sleep on Sundays. Everybody sleeps together.”
“Some people have their lives together and then they have their children,” says Jolie, who stars in Viacom Inc.’s upcoming Paramount Vantage film “A Mighty Heart.”"Brad and I are starting with the children and are planning to have our time together in our later years.”

The people who travel with her are always blinded by the flashbulbs and wonder if something is wrong with her eyes, for she just stares at the photographer as if she is taking them all in, and then moves forward as if they mean nothing at all to her.

Hey 4Q, don’t sweat it too much. Remember the Vogue interview and the NYT article, and some others where the interviewer interjects their own biases into the article? Angie rose above them all. Maybe one day there will reach a time when her past doesn’t really matter and won’t be written about like that. But, for now, it’s basically the “in” thing to do. :(
