OlderJolie Joins Council on Foreign Relations
UN Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has joined forces with foreign policy organization Council on Foreign Relations, reports People.
Other members include: presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, ABC’s Diane Sawyer, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and journalist Tom Brokaw.
Vice president of communications at CFR Lisa Shields said, “Angelina Jolie is accomplished in her field and has demonstrated serious interest in issues such as Darfur, international education and refugees. As such, her profile fits very well with other young professionals we’ve selected as the next generation of foreign policy leaders.”
Jolie recently told Esquire in their June issue: “When I die, do I want to be remembered as an actress? No. I recently had a column published in a newspaper and at the end it didn’t say I was an actress. It said that I was a UN Goodwill Ambassador – that’s all. And I was really proud.”

Wow I’ve got so much catching up to do. congrats Angelina on being accepted in the CFR. You and I both know that this organization is more than it’s mission statement. I’ll leave it at that. LOL!!!!
I got the Marie Claire issue and with the execption of one thing she mentiones, it was a very lovely interview. Very eyeopeing and you wanted to cry from happiness for her and her family. There are additional pictures at the beginning of the magazine showing how Marie Claire prepared for the shoot. There were pictures of Maddox on his computer and her eating (gasp!) lunch.
You know how the paps are always looking for the money shot( of them kissing passionately)? Well By the interviews that Brad and Angelina have given, it’s my thining that there is a money interview that’s still out there to be gotten. Brad & Angelina talking lovingly about their children and what daily life is like. they also admire and love each other very much. But there seems to be this untapped area in which Brad & Angelina never talk about. They don’t talk about the whole falling in love period. Only statements like ” The world knew before I did” or “we knew” etc..Brad never hints at anything about the period when he knew he was falling for Angelina. The reporter from marie Claire tries but Angelina gives some kind of answer that’s like a puzzle. I’m glad because this is the most private and should be cherished by the two of them only. For all the haters talk about how Angelina is always talking (she always did BTW)She really isn’t saying that much new just like Brad.
A woman with substance. What more can i say? Hail Angelina!

Whoever said the esquire interview sucked is crazy . I loved reading about her house in Cambodia, her work with the maddox jolie pitt project in Cambodia and how she turned it into a millennium village. Fyi It’s the first millennium village in Asian. woot.
She’s all about saving the elephants and Asian tigers and ish like that.
I bought MC today, what a great interview! I’m very happy for her and Brad and also I’m happy to know that Billy bob was for her when her mother died.

I really admire Angelina a lot these days.
There’re those old days I didn’t like her or care about her so much though I always know she is a good actress…also beautiful & sexy.
When i saw ‘GIA’ and ‘Girls,Interupted’ and I know she can act.
She was a bit too wild for me but after she has Maddox, she gradually have changed so much in all good ways. Now she has Brad, 4 adorable kids and beautiful life.

Re: Ted C…. so am I.
My next question is will his ‘alleged source’ from the Clooney camp ‘disappear’? Will any ‘access’ to Clooney be severed? Will there be a ‘hat in hand’ moment for Ted, since, according to another poster, his E contract is due to end soon?
Or will he opt to go out in a blaze of glory?
