Actress Ellen Barkin lets Brad Pitt borrow her back to sign autographs at the CineVegas opening night premiere of Ocean’s Thirteen on Wednesday at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Brad sported a new marking on his left hand — new cross tattoo or just a Sharpie marker drawing?
The Ocean’s 13’s producer Jerry Weintraub was honored with the Vanguard Producer Award during opening night festivities—Lights, Camera, Take Action.
The premiere benefited the aid group, International Rescue Committee for Not On Our Watch, an organization whose initial campaign is to support existing Darfur humanitarian relief efforts and to ensure the protection of civilians in that region.

Yes, it looks like high noon in Vegas just by looking at these pics. Even people in the crowd have on sunglasses. He and Angelina wear sunglasses a lot. I wonder if he has an endorsement deal like Angelina does for Shiseido sunglasses?

It’s quite nice to see these “old” bunch. They show that age is really just a state of mind. They may be “old,” but they don’t seem to let their age hold them back. They’re still having fun.
Besides, they’ve paid their dues in the business, and they deserve to be in the limelight for as long as they can and want. Also, I prefer seeing them on the red carpet than Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. (I’m sorry if I offend any Lohan and/or Hilton fans.)
Actually, if Gregory Peck or any of the greats from the 1930’s, 40’s, or 50’s were still alive, I would still want to see them on the red carpet. They paved the way for these guys, and now, these guys–Brad, Clooney, and Barkin–are paving the way for the younger ones.
I have a feeling AMH will be a much more quieter affair. It’s not exactly a type of film to have massive premiere like this. It is such a sad story. I think it will be like The Good Shepherd premiere and Marianne Pearl will attend. Isn’t the premiere supposed to be a funraiser for the Daniel Pearl Foundation?

Brad was probably staying for the premiere then heading back to LA. No overnight trip for him. He probably arrived midmorning and left already. It’s a short commuter flight to LA from Las Vegas.

de lurking - the premiere for AMH in the US will definitely be a more serious affair - just as it was in Cannes. People were complaining that they looks so serious at the AMH premiere in Cannes and all I could think was “Hello, it’s a movie about a man who is kidnapped and executed by terrorists! And his wife is a friend of theirs and at the premiere. What do you expect???”. I love that they are respectful of the subject matter at their premieres.
All that being said, I love how much fun they have at the Ocean’s premieres - a big party!

For the record, Brad is 43, George Clooney is 46, Matt Damon is in his early thirties may be 31 or 32. If you want the new young Hollywood talent, go to a site with Ashton Cutcher, Lindsay, N. Portman, etc. Even Leonardo DiCaprio is 30+ and Johnny Depp is older than Brad. Everybody grows old physically, but their talent and charisma remain. George, Brad, Al Pacino are already icons of Hollywood. This is why they are called A-listers. They are the equivalent of Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Gregory Peck, Cary Grant to name a few. The younger generation in Hollywood are lacking talent and the only ones they make are “popcorn” movies such as Shrek, Spiderman, etc. to gain the family- kids oriented box office. Oceans’ series is a hit back in Frank Sinatra’s time so it is actually a classic. BTW, thanks JJ. Whew! Glasses or not Brad gets the criticism. When will all this anger end? The rich x already has a new boy toy!
