Fashion Faceoff: Roberto Cavalli Dress

To the left, Miami Vice star Gong Li went classy in a Roberto Cavalli Spring 2007 number at the Cannes Film Festival 60th Anniversary Dinner at the last month in France. She finished off her look with a butterfly broach by the bust and glitzy earrings and bracelet to boot.

To the right, up-and-coming UK singer Leona Lewis went a little simpler in the same halter gown at the 2007 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Wednesday in London, England. She completed her look with a gold bracelet and clutch.

Who wore it best — GONG LI or LEONA LEWIS?

Gong Li. That butterfly brooch looks amazing and adds an extra WOW factor to that dress, although Leona looks lovely. Andi McDowell also looks beautiful in her dress.

Gong Li’s very classy and beautiful. She’s quite a few years older than Leona and Leona wishes she would look that regal and elegant at Li’s age. Also good to finally see Li wearing designer dresses. Maybe finally she has a stylist.

I like the dress on Leona but she needs major help with her hair and accessories, she would have looked amazing if her hair had been pulled back. And what is with that fugly gold clutch she’s holding?
