Paris Hilton was literally bawling as she was handcuffed, thrown into the back of a cop car and then driven off to court. Back to solitary confinement for the heiress!
Anyone sobbing that uncontrollably deserves a pity party at least, no?

Those are tears of anger. Anyone who’s had to tell a three year old “No, you can’t.” can recognize them. There is nothing to feel sorry for. Think of all the people who have gone to PRISON, not jail, who were innocent and spent years of their lives behind bars and didn’t deserve it.Then think of someone with every single material comfort in the world who consistently thumbs their noses at the law, has broken it before and never had to pay the consequences. Suppose she had seriously injured or killed someone while driving? Drunk driving, using pot and other drugs. Paris has had a free pass too long. She is not entitled to anything.

If you had watched Paul Zahn/CNN last night and heard from the young man whose family was hit by a drunk driver and hurt and who said it is only LUCK that she did not hit anybody, maybe you’d feel differently. But you just don’t get it. She CONTINUED to drive on suspension, giving the finger to all authority after she had a DUI!!! She broke the law…you break, you pay for it. Sheesh, she didn’t just jaywalk you know!!!

I acutally feel bad for her while I don’t in the least condone her behavior there are plenty of other celebs who have gotten away with worse than this and a whole mess of “regular” folk too; you just don’t hear about them because obviously they don’t have the paps surrounding THEM. I do think she should have served her time and that the house arrest thing wasn’t too bright. But I must admit I feel for her shes on every channel, blog, and newspaper she was made fun of by her peers *sarah silverman??* She humiliated and upset and scared. I do feel bad for her because she thought she was untouchable and BAM she got slammed into the REAL world. It truly should not have gotten this far, but this is where her actions have led her. Had she been wise and responsible in the first place, then she wouldn’t have had to face legal charges. She wouldn’t be humiliated.
I don’t take pleasure in her present state, but I don’t feel sorry for her either. Every person has the power to choose, and she chose to be careless (not just with her life but possibly other people’s lives) multiple times.

I feel people would have been more sympathic to Paris if she owned up to her actions and dealt with the consequences like a grown mature woman..thus she is not, she is a spoil brat that needs to grow up. She is not the only celebrity to get out of jail serving less time then they could have. And yet, never such negative poblicity. Whether I like her or not has nothing to do with the fact that she is being treated unfair….not only by the justice system but, by a jury of peers. Put yourself or a family member in her spot. She is NOT in jail for DUI she is in for violation……and was serving 40days of house arrest…..pretty stift penalty.

This whole thing was set up before Paris served a minuet in jail. Think about it. She started her sentence less than an hour before the day was over so it could have been considered a full day. Then instead of her family visiting her the first day it was her lawyer. The next day it was not her family, but her lawyer and psychiatrist plotting. She then was release to server an absurd alternative sentence two hours into the day, which will then be counted as a full day.
Paris was sent home, not to a hospital for a medical problem as to why she needed to be released. Note they did not mention anything about over crowding during that time, after all she was the only person in her cell, a jail specifically placed for people of certain stature (wealthy, politicians, celebrity, etc.) to serve in. Was there an over crowding of those group of people?
Paris did have the sentence most people get for DUI the first and second time she was busted. The third time was more severe because her previous penalties did not work and she had total disregard to the law. Luckily for her there is no three strikes and your out. She fail to realize that her reckless behavior while driving could have actually kill someone or even herself. Martha Stewart who is so rich did her time with no problem, why can’t she. She was already given leniency when her time was reduced from 45 to 23.
How ill was she that she can go straight home, start planning to party and able to show up in court. The whole situation from her, her family, those who represent her and those playing Judas with the judicial system is just absurd. This was totally a set up with the sheriff right in the middle of it. Wonder how much he will benefit from $$ it directly or indirectly.
I kind of feel sorry for her. The guy that let her out screwed up. He didnt have authority to let her out now shes being dragged back and forth. Just when she saw a light at the end of the tunnel she’s being dragged down again. I think its too much for anyone to take.

Paris should have NEVER gone to jail! Here’s a more poignant solution.
1-Everytime someone is killed by a drunk driver, she should have to show up at the scene and assist in removing the body and cleaning up the remains.
2-The time between waiting until someone dies from a DUI and cleaning up the body, she should be made to dig graves on a daily basis from 9-5pm.
3-She should be taken to a children’s hospital and made to assist with preparing the body of each and every kid who dies for the undertaker-
This should be done for 45 days-I would rather pay my tax dollars for that instead of watch them play tennis and poker with the laws of the land-I have a kid who is in Malibu-I stay on pins and needles every time she goes somewhere because of ppl like Paris, Nicole and Lindsay- Speaking of Nicole, she should be sent to Dafur, Somalia, or Ethiopia for 45 days-then come back and let’s see how she acts-

I don’t hate her, and I could care less about her celebrity status, but when it comes to the law, she should be treated just like any ordinary citizen. Her actions were the cause of this current “hysteria.” It is not the lawyers’ faults. It was her actions. Now, she needs to suck it up.

The last time I checked this is a democratic country and I could comment on who I damn well please. Yes I have a busy life, it doesn’t mean I’m busy all the time. Anyway, it has nothing to do with her riches from my viewpoint. Her misguided actions brought her to her present predicament. For the past few weeks, she has released statements in the media that she is ready to pay the consequences; well, this is her chance. If Nelson Mandela could hack it for goodness knows for how long (and under worse conditions), then she should, too. At the end of 45 days, she will still have her wealth and her family.
And I can’t envy somebody who clearly has very little self-respect, no common sense, and who may possibly carry the herpes virus.

People are happy about Hilton ending up in jail because she’s finally getting what she deserves for thumbing her nose at the law for so long, thinking she can do as she pleases and get away with it just because she’s rich and “famous for being famous” and because her folks raised her with the wrong values. She also has nothing for us to be jealous of, so your claim that those of us who hate her are “jealous of her” holds no water.

Some people may have all the money in the world, but things like this go to show that we are all vulnerable to universal emotions- humility, fear, embarrassment, and ‘wanting mommy’. I do not feel sorry for Paris Hilton - at all. She committed a misdeamnour, thought that laws of the land didn’t apply to her, and thanks to one judge who actually knows his job, she was fairly and correctly punished. She is not a teenager, she’s in her late 20’s and therefore not an ‘innocent’ out in the world and defenceless. Her wealth couldn’t save her a$$ this time!

Srry to say, but I do feel sorry for her. Just because I don’t like seeing people sad and crying.
