Why blame the media for projecting a “thin/waify/skinny” body as attractive for girls, when there are people like YOU? The girl has booty and she’s no stick, and so she’s fat? Should there ever be an Anorexia/Bullimia epidemic, we know whos at fault. When you’re so critical of others, it’s really reflecting your own insecurities.

io - Read. If i thought she had the best legs, i wouldve written that. BUt while i’m at it, might as well vent.
The point I am trying to make is that this overwhelming amount of celebrity culture can be harmful. Girls are being affected by what they see on TV, read in magazines etc, taking this whole thing too seriously. and then we start criticising everything else we see cos we’re constantly reading about “who’s gotten fat” and “whos got cellulite”. Believe you me, I’ve had my fair share of friends who’ve gone through eating disorders and it’s actually really sad to see the people you care about hurting, what does it achieve in the end? Their self-esteem is lower than ever. Why not put our attention to the things that actaully matter out there..like poverty in Africa? Or the War that’s going on? AIDS awareness, Global warming, drug use, racism, the lsit goes on. Do the troops not deserve more focus from the media than Paris Hilton’s arrest? Do your time and stop crying about it, it’s really not that big a deal.
