‘Ocean’s 13′ Earns $13 Million
Ocean’s Thirteen rolled out an impressive $13.1 million, according to Friday estimates. The heist comedy should easily pick up the No. 1 slot this weekend.
In No. 2 was the Katherine Heigl-Seth Rogen comedy Knocked Up, which brought in $6.2 million during its second week in release.. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End sailed close behind with a cool $6 million.
The stars of Ocean’s Thirteen recently donated over $750,000 to poverty-fighting charity Oxfam. Co-stars Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon also donated to Clooney’s Not on Our Watch charity, which helps the inhabitants of Western Sudan.
Clooney has said, “The people of Darfur urgently need the help of organizations like Oxfam.”
UPDATE: Ocean’s 13 pulled in a healthy $37 million at the box offices this weekend. POTC3 sailed away with $21 million with Knocked Up not far behind with $20 million.

fuggy, you’ve been laying low for awhile.

Because I kicked his ass, and he had a hard time showing his face again. :lol How’s it hanging FF?
LMAO at the haters - if the movie performs below expectations they’ll somehow see this ensemble three-quel ‘guy’ pic’s showing as their vindication. Ahahahahahaha!! Yeah, that’s right - THIS, is all they got –> …(sob)”…well..yeah, it was #1 brangeloonies, but it wasn’t the biggest #1 EVER…it was just an okay #1…! Nah! LMAO! Riiiiiight. Dario Franchitti doesn’t care that he WON the Indy 500 in the rain, and because the race was stopped - bottomline, he WON motherf**kers! Bahaha!! See, the average insane embittered hater faniston crone, they’d like O13 to mean something, and they have an amazingly bad short term memory, making it easy for them to forget Mr. & Mrs. Smith’s half BILLION dollar take, or Babel’s close to 200 million dollar take worldwide.
My own POV about O13. It was good. For the eye candy alone, and smooth sexy Papa I will see it 2 more times. But O11, for me, is still the best though, and the main reason for that is that they added a love story for the ladies. It was well-rounded. It was part love story, part hesit film. Way before my wonderful ‘Brangelina,’ I loved O13 because Danny Ocean was heisting Terry Benedict to win back Tess (Rusty to Danny: ‘Tess does not split 11 ways). That was HOT. That was the main reason why I saw it 10 times. ..and even though I didn’t think CZJ and Brad lit the screen on fire in the next one, it was nice seeing them introduce a love interest for him. I think that’s why that film did as well as the first, because they injected a little romance. It’s really too bad that component, especially re Julia and her pregnant self, couldn’t make it back for this one, because without her, it tightens the demographic. So let’s put it this way, if this film is indeed #1, and makes what one and two made essentially at the box office - bit of romance at all, no love interest, and no ‘macking’ of the Daddies at all at anything in a skirt to be found - then that’s really significant.
The title of the post isn’t confusing, but the numbers are sad for the movie. The makers of O13 expected it to make 30-50 million on Friday, so the result is definitely disappointing.

You really need to learn to read, the 30-50 million estimates a for the whole weekend NOT ONLY FRIDAY LMAO!
bad reviews. good thing they don’t mean ish.

They cut their pay check on OC11, OC12. I think they’ll do the same in OC13. and I don’t believe this film cost around 195 million. I read some where it’s around 100-110 million.
and by the way, Jen new hot coke boyfriend was in Victoria Beckham thread, why don’t you go there and ooze on his hotness.
The movie is a success!!! Yippeee!!! It opened also in #1 around the world.
Wonderful Tonight

Another Sequel Sinking: #1 ‘Oceans 13′ Below Expectations;
SATURDAY AM: Ocean’s Thirteen washed over the competition but was sinking compared to projections Friday as Warner’s says its franchise opened with $13 million (though rival studios have it $12.3M to $12.6M) from 3,565 theaters. It should finish the weekend with $39M, about par for the franchise but well below the $45M to $50M projected by box office gurus. (For those of you keeping score, Ocean’s Eleven opened with $38.1M from Friday to Sunday in 3,075 venues, while Twelve debuted at $39.1M in 3,290 playdates

So 13 million is disappointing opening day number.
To mm | 06/10/2007 at 11:33 am
Its 30-50 millions in 3 days not only in friday!

Fact is O13 isn’t doing great at all. Not with that budget, which is certainly over 110 million. The Break Up opened at 40 million with less than half the budget and fewer theaters. Go figure.
Thanks Jared!
JP Fans need to ignore TROLLS. You all know why they are here.
O13 will do fine in the U.S. and even better worldwide.
Who are Angie’s competitors for Oscars 2008?? In my opinion, Angie only competitor is the new Meryl Streep a.k.a. Oscar nomination for every role, Cate Blanchett for the Golden Age. Cate was already previously nominated for this role, and most likely will get another for it because of the buzz. I’m hoping Angie will win because she plays someone a of a different background.
Keep this topic alive as well!!
Another Sequel Sinking: #1 ‘Oceans 13′ Below Expectations; “Knocked Up’ #2; Moviegoers Hostile Towards ‘Hostel II’
SUNDAY AM:
Ocean’s Thirteen washed over the competition but sank compared to projections as the third in the franchise opened with $35.5 million (though some studios have it $36.1M) from 3,565 theaters. Not only is that far less than the $45M to $50M projected by box office gurus, but it’s not equal to the other two Ocean’s films. (For those of you keeping score, Eleven opened with $38.1M from Friday to Sunday in 3,075 venues, while Twelve debuted at $39.1M in 3,290 playdates). Again, U.S. moviegoers look to be seasick on sequels, even though reviews were good for the threequel again starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt and again directed by Steven Soderbergh. But overseas, audiences continue to have sequel fever: I’m told Ocean’s was No. 1 in the UK, Spain, Hong Kong and a slew of other foreign territories. The ferocious competition for domestic gross receipts at the megaplex will only become more intense as the summer movie season progresses with what was supposed to be risk-free programming. It’s giving Hollywood moguls nightmares! (Look next for Transformers, which is tracking huge, and also The Simpsons to break out among the blockbusters: both are original.)

First, some background: The first film—and by that I mean the first from Steven Soderbergh—cost a reported $85 million. Ocean’s Twelve cost a reported $110 million. This latest jape is said to be in the neighborhood of $195 million
——-
The budget of 13 is 95 million not 195.
——
Thanks for the information. only the morons or hmmm haters would try to believed its 195 million and wish its a flop. last week, they were saying it won’t even make to the top 10.hahaha , another delusion burst.
WHEN WILL THE FAN LEARN NOT TO REPLY THE TROLL.
BY CHECKING AT SOME COMMENT WITH DIFFERENT NAMES. REALLY IS ONE PERSON ANSWERING HIS OR HERSELF.
BUT WHY DO FAN SPEND ALL THEIR TIME TO ARGUE WITH THOSE THAT DON’T HAVE ANY GOOD THINGS TO SAY.
BEST WAY IGNORE DON’T BE TEMPTED TO REPLY.
I thought you the haters said Surf’s up will be #1, are you changing the story now that Ocean’s #1? Most of these stars are paid big bucks because of the overall money the pull from around the world, not just the U.S. alone. Is that hard to understand?
According to wikipedia, the budget of Ocean’s 13 is $100 million.
So Nancy must be a LIAR!
The Break-up sucked abroad. Babel with $25 million budget did far better (more than $100 million).
Congratulations to the Ocean’s crew!!!!
Wake up, turn on the pc, go to justjared and start searching all on brad and angie on google. I love my life.
I wanna say hi to my friends, who love to change their names (it’s hard work people).
Love you Nancy and mm.
