‘Ocean’s 13′ Earns $13 Million
Ocean’s Thirteen rolled out an impressive $13.1 million, according to Friday estimates. The heist comedy should easily pick up the No. 1 slot this weekend.
In No. 2 was the Katherine Heigl-Seth Rogen comedy Knocked Up, which brought in $6.2 million during its second week in release.. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End sailed close behind with a cool $6 million.
The stars of Ocean’s Thirteen recently donated over $750,000 to poverty-fighting charity Oxfam. Co-stars Brad Pitt, George Clooney and Matt Damon also donated to Clooney’s Not on Our Watch charity, which helps the inhabitants of Western Sudan.
Clooney has said, “The people of Darfur urgently need the help of organizations like Oxfam.”
UPDATE: Ocean’s 13 pulled in a healthy $37 million at the box offices this weekend. POTC3 sailed away with $21 million with Knocked Up not far behind with $20 million.

I predict the worldwide for Ocean 13 is going to over 400 million. Let’s not reply to haters. Just wait and see.
Everyone KNOWS this is an impressive amount for an opening day of a movie!
Instead of sitting here and debating with TROLLS go see the movie AGAIN, take some friends with you!
That’s how you support this film not with WORDS on a blog!
For those so fixated on numbers, according to AMC’s Sunday Morning Shootout, as of Saturday, O13 made approximately 32 million, give or take several million. Pirates was in 2nd place with 23 million.
If that breaks your weekend, get some therapy!
Ocean’s 13 is going to make more than its budget across the world the first weekend, so it is time to celebrate.
Surfs up will be #1
Who are Angie’s competitors for Oscars 2008?? In my opinion, Angie only competitor is the new Meryl Streep a.k.a. Oscar nomination for every role, Cate Blanchett for the Golden Age. Cate was already previously nominated for this role, and most likely will get another for it because of the buzz. I’m hoping Angie will win because she plays someone a of a different background.
Keep this topic alive as well!!

I posted this is the other thread but French actress Marion Cotillard in the biopic of Edith Piaf pratically has a lock on the Best Actress Award. Angelina my be nominated and win for Golden Globes.
———————————-
I hope Angie wins!! We can only judge if we see both films, and not rely on other people’s opinions. We’ll just see.

32 million? BIG FLOP! they were expecting at least 38 million. sad, sad, sad.
Okay so here are Angie’s competitors for Best Actress Oscar:
Marion Cotillard - La Vie En Rose
Cate Blanchett - The Golden Age
Who else?? BTW, This is a dumb question. But how many nominees can there be for Best Actress?

Now everyone can’t be addicted to heroine like your sweet Jolie now can they?
Fact is O13 isn’t doing great at all. Not with that budget, which is certainly over 110 million. The Break Up opened at 40 million with less than half the budget and fewer theaters. Go figure.

Ahahahahaha!
Dear Miss TROLL b*tch,
The Break Up was hyped for more than a year and a half, as the vehicle for the woebegone ’scorned woman’ who had endured her own ‘BREAK UP’ with a MOVIE STAR, and subsequently went on a ‘Pity Party’ TOUR throughout most of 2005-2006. The sad mini-vans wanted to see the tv sit-com hack rebound with her FAKE boyfriend, newly successful comedy movie bloat boy, and also see if she was as miserable in a fictional movie ABOUT a Break Up, as she was ACTUALLY miserable and pathetic about her own in REAL LIFE. They wanted to see her ‘best’ Angelina Jolie, to ‘get the guy’ even if it was all phony hype for the guy’s movie. It was pathetic, and anyone with TWO brain cells to rub together, KNOWS it was achieved on the backs of Brad and Angelina. If Maniston had ‘broken up’ with Tate Donovan, we wouldn’t be having this discussion, lolol - you know it, I know it, and everyone with more of a brain pan than an amoeba, knows it. It’s the MAIN reason why the b*tch can’t get a job now. Her 4 films thats he opened in one year ON HER OWN…FLOPPED!! It was only the one alluding to her REAL LIFE TRAINWRECK, and the fact that a certain segment of the public, wanted her phony bloated scruffy fake boyfriend to be her ’savior,’ from the evil ‘Brangelina’ and their bliss - is what made it that much money.
If she was smart - she’d go CONSTANTLY crying and whining to the mags and rags and Oprah all over again about what ‘Brangelina’ DID TO HER, and then announced she has a new man over tears and glasses of champagne, then proceed to do a film with ‘the new guy,’ called ‘The Nasty BITTER Divorce,’ or ‘She Stole MY Man,’
OCEAN’S BOMBED!
Angelina will probably get an Oscar nomination for Best Actress. She will fill the last spot open. I think on this board we named all who will actually be nominated, LOL!!!!
Attention haters, Ocean’s 13 boxoffice has only been for one day I think and only in the US, not around the world. This film opened up overseas this weekend with more countries added over the next few weeks. Out of the summer of threequels, Ocean’13 is the best movie so far.
Have a good day all.
Transformers is the film John Voight is in.
Ocean’s 13 is a film that will have legs. I don’t think Matt Damon’s threepeat of Bourne will do that great.
I think 300 was the best film so far this summer and the most profitable.
SUPER FLOP | 06/10/2007 at 12:12 pm
according to AMC’s Sunday Morning Shootout, as of Saturday, O13 made approximately 32 million, give or take several million.
If I’m not wrong, ITS AS OF SATURDAY, it had already make 32 millions, that means in 2 days they get around 32 million, the 38-39 million prediction was for 3 days.

ITAWU. I think Angie might be nominated in both GG and Oscar, but I think she had a greater chance on GG than Oscar. the foreign press love AMH. panelist in GG was comprised of foreign journalist.

If you’re saying the foreign press for GG, then La Vie En Rose’s Marion will most likely win.
