I wasn’t attacking you, per se. It’s just that we have been blessed with a lot of BAMPZS threads; some were about trivial things like Mickey’s b-day party or their dinner date in Prague; some were about their philanthropic achievements; their articles/interviews; and Cannes and O13. A variety of subjects all met with a lot of enthusiasm and appreciation.

My thing is if Jared has to post ___ threads that are the same routine b*llsh*t that we had to endure for the last two years - ___ gets a man; ___ likes her man; wait a minute, he is not ___’s man; ___ is trying to start a family; ___ will be on her way to starting a family; a new makeover for ___; and the variations of the well-worn theme - then let him.

___ is like stop-motion animation - all of the effort, manpower and time, but ultimately, little progress or movement.

I don’t want to give her threads any hits but do you think the OK magazine adoption story is true? Now, hear me out, I know to not trust the tabliods but I don’t trust X. Everytime I think she couldn’t possibly stoop any lower for publicity and attention, she does exactly that. Like Lamey said, her stunts are tiring. Do you think she would go far enough to adopt now that her friend Sheryl has adopted and say she was “inspired” by her.

Also, the one reason I can’t just ignore X is because her antics don’t just annoy me, they creep me out. I have never seen someone so desperate as her and Huvane. There is an underlying tone of morbid-ness in the way they go about getting publicity. Anyone else know what I mean?

Yes, it’s painfully obvious Huvane and Aniston are deliberately saturating the market at this particular time for a reason. They were both fit to be tied, when Angelina in ‘A Mighty Heart’ became the toast of Cannes with people talking Oscar. This very transparent tabloid and press DUMP that they are taking (Aging boytoy model hook-ups, denials of hook-ups, Smartwater, Adoptions, now this latest about things she may or may not have going on the work front - by the way, until it’s in variety don’t believe it) — ALL of it, squeezed out like the biggest stinkiest log ever, right as AJ is promoting a most important, and sensitive film if ever there was one. It’s designed to do one thing, firmly attach Maniston to the Jolie-Pitt coattails, and detract from Angelina’s promotions and her work.

That’s why I really do have to stress to people….it’s not about me, or other Jolie-Pitt fans NOT wanting Maniston to have a life…it’s as ‘just wondering’ (#1250) stated, there’s this creepy underlying consistently desperate and diabolical way in which she and HUVANE go about keeping her in the public eye, and it’s all STILL designed in a ‘Pity-Party’ and over-the-top competitive w/ Brad & Angie type format.

You say Brad and Angie were beautiful on the red carpet and so in love? Well look at Jen…

Angelina has a film out and she’s doing interviews and speaks lovingly of her family? Well look over here at Jen….

They’re talking Oscar for Angie? Well look at Jen…

…and on and on it goes.

There’s no reason we couldn’t have heard about Smartwater 4 months ago — word has it she did the deal back in the Fall of ‘06.

Ditto, her dates with the aging brit cokehead model.

Ditto, her ‘adoption’ news — if true, and like Crowe she is adopting by surrogate, she’s waiting on a birth right now…no need to leak that to the press….

This is the ‘HUVANISTON’ M.O.: if Brad and Angelina are at the top of the food chain enjoying success and happiness, and most importantly when they are cresting the wave of a new ‘life’ event (be it a critically accalimed performance, new baby, or anything else…), make sure you are right there, hanging off Angie’s Louboutin pumps and Brad’s Tom Ford’s….announcing, denying, and pimping any and all lame ass sh*t to the press at the same time.

THAT is what we have a problem with. The fact that she and HUVANE, are parasitic leeches of the first order.

I have to laugh at ___. Although adoption is a very serious thing, the only other things that elicited interest/enthusiasm were piddly, trivial things like bottled water and the fact that a model may have brushed up against her.

___ is Ron Burgandy; she gets attention/credit for things that amount to hot-dog eating contests while Brad and Angelina are legitimate newsmakers and consistent participants in social discourse. They are the Corningstones, y’all!!

Brad Pitt discusses his role as producer for ‘A Mighty Heart’

When “A Mighty Heart” opens on June 22nd, it will mark Brad Pitt’s sixth credit as a producer on a feature-length film. Based on Mariane Pearl’s account of the brutal Pakistan murder of her husband, Wall Street Journal reporter/bureau chief Daniel Pearl, the much-anticipated drama stars Pitt’s wife Anjelina Jolie and Dan Futterman as the two married journalists.

Pitt, the 43-year-old star of this week’s number one grosser, “Ocean’s Thirteen,” has already racked up a fairly impressive producer’s score card, with the Oscar-winning “The Departed” and Sundance Grand Jury prize-winning doc “God Grew Tired of Us” under his belt. Pitt also had a hand in “Running with Scissors,” which overcame dim notices to notch an Oscar nomination for Annette Bening, and Mike White’s quirky indie dramedy, “Year of the Dog,” which opened in April to generally favorable reviews.

“What I appreciate the most is getting to be part of a project that normally we wouldn’t be right for,” said Pitt before a gathering of press at last month’s Cannes Film Festival, where the Michael Winterbottom film premiered to acclaim. “I was very taken with Mariane’s story the moment it first appeared on CNN. Through the producting conduit, get to take part in these kind of films, see them to the end, find the right people, make sure things stay on the rails. It’s a really interesting side to filmmaking itself. You don’t have to be in front of the camera.”

Pitt was emphatic in his choice of Winterbottom to helm the film. The eclectic British director is perhaps best known for “Welcome to Sarajevo,” “24 Hour Party People” and “Tristram Shandy: A **** and Bull Story.” But it was “The Road to Guantanamo,” his dramatization of a trio of British Muslims who were held in Guantanamo Bay prison for two years and then released without charged, that sealed the deal for “A Mighty Heart.”

“We felt he was the best storyteller for ‘A Mighty Heart.’ He’s a citizen of the world, he’s focused on these issues. It was really going to achieve some kind of love story: it’s done in flashbacks. To achieve that its got to be successfully created in whiffs and smells and instances.

“The moments that he did that in ‘Guantanamo’ that really spoke to me was when he focused on the boys in their normal habitas, their normal lives at a pizza parlor. We were able to understand who they were at home, without ever having to play it out or make any kind of grand punctuation.

“Another thing I appreciate about Michael’s films is, he follows a life. He doesn’t create the life, or set the life. It’s a really raw approach to filmmaking that really applied itself to the journalistic nature of this film.”

In addition to “A Mighty Heart,” the actor-slash-mogul has at least eight other producing projects currently in various stages of genesis, including “Dirty Tricks,” a Nixon administration drama that features Jim Broadbent as President Nixon, Sharon Stone as Pat Nixon, Meryl Streep as Martha Mitchell and Pitt as White House Counsel John Dean.

Brangelina Arrives

Brangelina lands in town tonight for the red carpet premiere of “A Mighty Heart,” a film I praised from the Cannes Film Festival. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie should cause a sensation with the paparazzi at both the screening and the after-party at the Metropolitan Club. The party is for Reporters Without Borders, an international group that protects the rights of journalists and photographers, two groups that will be represented at the premiere by the working press.
