Paris Hilton: I Won’t Appeal

Paris Hilton: I Won’t Appeal

Paris Hilton, who is currently at L.A. County’s Twin Towers Correctional Facility, has been ordered to serve out her original 45-day sentence imposed last month. She recently released this statement:

“Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge’s decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff’s concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.

This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.

As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistake. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming.

I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world.”

In my opinion, Paris Hilton should be treated fairly just like everybody else. Just because America hate her right now doesn’t mean she should be treated more severely than an average non-celebrity person. I read in the news that Paris has to serve the full 45 days sentence in the LA County Jail is ridiculous. A normal person who is facing DUI charges only serve about 10% of their sentence so for Paris to be force serving the entire time of her sentence by the judge is definitely not double standard. The media and the public has so much influence on the case that the severe punishment of Paris Hilton does not reflect her actions. She is consider a low level criminal so for her to be imprison for that long is unfair. But she could still be release early on good behavior. So let’s keep our fingers cross!

# 4

If you don’t wish to have so much media attention, why even bother releasing a freaking statement to the public?

# 5

It isn’t just Americans that hate her. It’s the whole world. If she didn’t carry on, thinking she is above the law then the sentence would not have changed. She deserves what she gets. I hope she really does grow from this experience.

# 6

Me too! I hope she’ll come out of prison a better person and hopefully a better model for young girls everywhere. I think Paris Hilton has a lot of potential and she should put that to good use. Maybe prison will be a good thing for her, make her more humble and appreciate life. We’re all rooting for her to emerge a better person and hopefully the public and the media will accept the new Paris Hilton.

If Paris hopes that people will focus on the more important things in the world like the men and women overseas in war-torn countries why the **** hasnt she even mentioned them before? BECAUSE SHE WAS TOLD TO SAY THAT.
Paris and her many minders, servants, publicists and lawyers have realized she is losing face in a BIG way and have advised her to try and get some public support back.
WHAT THE **** EVER. Like she EVER cared before! This **** makes me so angry. Spoilt brats are exactly that - spoiled. They do anything to get their way and when they realize they are losing, switch tracks quickly and start sucking up. Let the ***** rot.
She did this in Australia - she promised to organise a fundraising concert for Paradise Kids and they were sad and disappointed she never came through - she was in Aussie at the time and wanted to look good and as usual let everyone down for her own spoilt brat ways. If anyone wants to jump in and have a go at me and stand up for the dimwit - go for it - but letting kids down is just f*****d - breaking promises is f*****d - pretending to give a **** about the people who are fighting for freedom is f*****d - trying to get special treatment and thinking you are better than everyone else is f*****d - now Paris has to serve her term in jail like the rest of us - maybe shes starting to realize - SHE IS F****D!

What public image? The girl is in jail. I don’t think anything she does or say now can be credited to her PR. Most people does not wish her well so whatever she commenting on is ridicule or miscontrue even though Paris is trying to be positive in a very very negative situation. Think positive people heheh!

chimpymimp @ 06/10/2007 at 6:01 am

I wish they would keep this brainless rich kid in a cell until she grows a brain….which could mean the other side of her 60th birthday. Can the prison service just lose her? The world would be a better place if she disappeared.

!!!! exclamation-mark happy!!! @ 06/10/2007 at 6:16 am

“I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world.” LOLZ best part of the press release!!!! How convenient of her to think about the troops!

Paris wouldn’t know health and welfare if it hit her in the face. She’s a dumb cow, clearly she did not write this statement.

poor paris @ 06/10/2007 at 6:58 am

You shouldn’t be allowed to issue pr statements from jail. r they bending the rules for her yet again.

I don’t understand why you guys would bash her for suggesting people to concern more on the troops. The point of that paragraph was to leave her alone, focus on something else. So of course when it’s released via her publicist, nice vocabularies lined up. That’s her publicist’s job. This is nothing new. It happens all the time in Hollywood. Just because they are actors or singers doesn’t mean they can write nice public statements. That’s why they have publicists. So muttering such anger toward this statement is beyond ridiculous.

Of course she doesn’t care about the troops. But I’m sure there are hollywood stars out there who couldn’t care less who died in Iraq either. Why are we asking her to carry this burden on her shoulders? If anything, Bush is to blame for the situation in Iraq.

And Yily (No 3) said it right. Just because she shouldn’t receive favors, doesn’t mean she should be treated unfairly either. That girl, Michelle Rodriguez only did 6 hours for the sentence of 60 days. And why didn’t anyone send any claim to the prosecutors.

You’re kidding yourself if you think this is gonna set example for people to not DUI. Yeh it might set example to Hollywood stars. But normal people know they’ll only do 10% of the sentence if found guilty.

Bush knows his troops are going to die in war , did that stop him? Now look who’s counting for the return of their kids. Do people stop smoking because they might get lung cancer ? NO. Bottome line is , if the world is fucked up , it’s fucked up. And it’s not Paris responsibility to fix or set example to the world.

I never like Paris nor do I hate her, because I don’t know her personally. It’s fine for people like Lindsay or Britney to hate her. They are in the same business, they interact, they back-stab each other, etc. So I don’t know why people carried that much personal hatred toward her. It’s Hollywood , there are brats and there are goodies. ALWAYS HAVE, ALWAYS WILL. If you can’t take it, switch off TVs and don’t read gossips.

If you want justice, then call Michelle Rodriguez and millions of citizens who only served 10% of their times back to jail then. That’s justice.

You are joking right?First of all she tried to pimp God by trying to get religious just before she was to go to jail and made sure there were shots of her carrying a Bible all over. There are thousands of shots of Paris over the last couple of years online. When have you EVER seen her carry a Bible?! Secondly, when have you ever heard of an average Citizen try and have court over the phone for a criminal offense? They spend the money just to bring an incarcerated person to appear before the judge! So now she wants to mock the justice system?
And don’t even get me started on her shallow reference to what “should” be more important. Actions speak so much louder than words and Paris’ actions scream that she is more important than the troops and all world affairs that do not concern her. Footlocker gives military discounts but you best believe that the Hilton Hotels do not!
Oh yeah and as far as double standards goes…sell your line to the veteran who suffers PTS who was locked up for assault in a bar and why not a judge in the land would not let him serve his time at home on a bracelet because he had some current mental issues due to serving his country and having to fight for his life and HER freedom.

Wowwww, she has also started drinking Smartwater.

She is found annoying by almost everybody who has known of her from the media. She has to think about this. Otherwise, this won’t be the first and last time for her to be in very deep trouble with law.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The issue is not about her serving more than 10% of her time for a single DUI. She was caught driving again and again! So you can not compare her to Michelle R. She got over originally for DUI. She was brought back in because of her driving illegally! So when you are let go and then you go back out and disregard what the courts ordered you are required to serve some time. The issue is her supposed mental welfare! What about the abused mother of 4 locked up for snapping and killing the man that tried to kill her. Those women are kept locked up mental breakdowns or not. Justifiable defenses or not so why should some heiress get out of serving just 23 days? Paris thought she was above the law!

^ Well said.

More people need to think like you, instead of the pea size brain dead idiots that half of these comments reflect.

She learned a bitter but important lesson?!?!? Like what- always pick the jail cell that has the most electrical outlets for her hairdryers, Blackberry chargers and iPods and make sure your mugshot photo gets air brushed and re-touched before going to the press? Good grief!

To Yily: she’s not facing DUI charges, she’s facing charges after she drove while her license was suspended, which is worse…
I take back what I said yesterday, or only part of it, I’m not sure yet, but it seems like she’s learning from her mistake… or maybe her PR person is just good.

Wow, who would have thunk that Paris would be able to write something like that. Oh wait, that was her PR people. I guess doing your time may help you save face.

yeah yeah yeah @ 06/10/2007 at 7:38 am

I actually felt sorry for her when I saw her crying on tv and heard that she cried out “Mom!” I know how wild she had been until now, but despite all of things she had done, I don’t think she’s a bad person. She was just young and stupid. I’m actually surprised she wrote the statement above by herself. Paris seems to be changing. The statement is quite mature and yet sincere. Who knows? She might become the next Angelina Jolie! I wish her the best.

Paris didn’t say or write anything. Her lawyers have done it. Don’t be so dense!!! And Paris isn’t going to “change” by spending five weeks in jail. PLZ! From the moment this possibility was handed down, her entire family, most particularly Paris and her mother, have been out in public crying and complaining and criticizing the court. Using “connections” to try to get the governor’s attention, etc. The judge had no choice but to do what he did. And plz don’t forget, she showed up late for her court appointment. Judges don’t like it when you disrespect the court.Paris has never been “treated like anyone else.” She has gotten away with more stuff because she is Paris Hilton, than you or I ever would!!! And the reason there is no appeal is bcz there is no grounds for an appeal on a misdemeanor traffic violation. Oh. And Kathy Hilton really helped things by calling the judge at his house and telling him off.

poor paris @ 06/10/2007 at 7:42 am

If she wants the media to focus more on the troops&imp things then she should instruct her people to STOP issuing statements from her everyday. She should serve her time quietly. She complains, but she’s the one who created this media monster around her and she’s still doing it from jail. She wants it & craves it. The crying pic of her is so staged. Most people would cover their head and not pose thru a window bawling their eyes out for the paps. She is media hungry-had makeup people come before court? I dn’t believe a word she says anymore that she’s learned a lesson. She said this on Sunday at the MTV awards & yet she did everything she cud to get out of her situation. She’s disgusting frankly.

Jim

Are you paris’ publicist?

Oh for gods sake! Get off the high and mighty defend Pais trip - she stuffed up. She paying the price. Too much of a price? Well it makes up for all the times shes broken the law before hand. Not fair? Too bad. She should stay out of the limelight then. Celebrities ALWAYS get treated diferent, the only difference is for Paris, its not the GOOD side of being a celebrity this time and she doesnt like it. Yep, if this makes her a stronger ‘better’ person, more power to her and I wish her well. But lets wait and see. Something (maybe her continual ‘I dont give a **** my money will buy me out of everything attitude and Im a celebrity) tells me that she wont change long term. Lets put $5 (virtual - not - real - money - silly :-)) on it. I reckon that shell change her ways for maybe a few months and slowly creep back to her normal self. Anyone up for a friendly bet?

 Like Paris doesnt want the attention, right? Good or bad, celebs feed off of it. They need it to stay alive. If we stop listening, watching and commenting, their careers die. If their not in the spotlight, their easily forgotten by most.

Her REAL statement:

Paris Hilton, who is currently at L.A. County’s Twin Towers Correctional Facility, has been ordered to serve out her original 45-day sentence imposed last month. She recently released this statement:

I told the hot guys in the suits to get me the hell out of here, but they told me that it wasnt going to happen so I need to make do. After I screamed and had a good two hour hissy fit, I sunk into further depression and cried out for my mommy AND daddy.

((Angelina Jolie called and offered to bring me over to Ethiopia and drop me in a field all alone and show me what depression realy is. *****!!!!))

I am not used to this bull! and it isnt fair!! DONT THEY KNOW, THAT STUPID JUDGE AND THE REST OF YOU IDIOTS KNOW I AM PARIS HILTON!?!? GET ME OUT OF HERE! I want my dog and monkey thing!

I am sitting here bored!!!!!!!!!! i’ve asked the guy in the suit to come and read the mail from my fans. thanks but your words sure aint gettin me the f^%$ out of here now is it?!?

I am loving all this attention Im getting and cannot WAIT to get out of here and sell my jail story for 6 mill or so. THATS HOT! But the nasty comments need to stop. That makes me saddddddd :( :emo:

The guy in the suit told me to that it would make me look good if I talked some about the people over seas. I dont know who they are or why there there, though. So, yeah whatever. I told him to say what he thinks is best.

Bye everyone. And thanks. Watch Simple Life!!

xoxoxo Paris

^^ i love the REAL statement.

LMFAO! That REAL statement is PRICELESS! Nicely said!
I drink to you *raises bourbon* :-)

PLEASE PEOPLE….

SHE DIDN’T WRITE THAT STUFF…

is all publicity…we know she doesn’t even know what Iraq means…

SHE DIDN’T WRITE THAT STUFF…AND ANYONE WHO BELIEVES SHE DID IS AN IDIOT!!!

The REAL issue is her damaged hair. She now has time to reflect on why she refuses to cut that rats nest into a short, layered chic bob. By the way, she does not even know where Afghanistan and Iraq are located. Hope she has enough “where’s waldo” books to get her through her ordeal.

hmmm, funny how suddenly she doesn’t like the attention and trying to turn the camera on our soldiers at war. Why is it that she never thought of that before this incident. Ah, of cource, PR work time. Try to turn this s..ty situation into gold, at least, that’s what her publicist is hoping.

That publicist of hers is kind of sick to use our soldiers (suddenly) as a publicity stint to make PH sound “UNSELFISH.” But then, she doesn’t “need” the camera and/or attention at this “worst” moment so why not “unselfishly” turn it to issues that really matter.

Original Curious @ 06/10/2007 at 9:21 am

 on the “real” statement.

Her publicist Elliot Mintz used to work for Yoko Ono after John Lennon died. HE’s the one who wrote that statement…I can hear the words coming out of his mouth.

So…she didn’t want to eat mass produced probably high in calories food? THAT was her crisis? How old is she again? 12?

oh yeah, these words sound like they came directly from her mouth. right.

if she doesn’t want attention, then i hope she goes away after her prison sentence.

JustCheckin @ 06/10/2007 at 9:28 am

She was reported crying and have not slept… did she really wrote this???? hmmmm…

@Yily (comment #3):

Despite the insane amount of media coverage, I’m disappointed to see that some people still don’t understand why she is going to jail.

She is not going to jail for her DUI. She is going to jail for repeatedly violating her probation terms (specifically, driving with a suspended license).

For first-time DUI offenders, most folks here in Cali don’t even go to jail. The jails are too crowded and the administrative overhead to get them in and out, just for a day or two, is prohibitively expensive and not a particularly good use of taxpayer dollars.

Pay more attention to those men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world. Hey Paris, is that what you really want?

Since when you become political???

You only think about money and showing yourself, you have nothing in your brain!!!

[Famous Fug Face] @ 06/10/2007 at 10:01 am

Paris’s PR team is going to continue to paint pictures of Paris being a saint, until she comes out, so they can pimp the world and milk this little ‘bid’ she’s doing.

I truly believe that Paris being released after serving three days was planned from the beginning. That is why she was permitted to keep her extensions in jail. Extensions are not permitted because a prisoner can hang herself with them. When the judge realized the plan and sent her back to prison, Paris saw she could not get her way and completely lost face. How can she possibly pose for photographs in her customery cool and arrogant way after crying like a baby for her mom in court . The world saw Paris’ true self and it will never be the same for her no matter what she says claims - or how many friends go on tv to try to rectify her situation - like she ever cared about our troops overseas before - she never even voted! She should just “hang up her crown” and stay out of the public eye since the public really and truly hates her and it is not due to her wealth - it is due to her obnoxious and arrogant personality. It is her distain for the very people who are forced to look at her bird face on the news every night. Let her rot in prison forever - no matter how much she changes it is all due to publicity - not sincerity.

I realize about .05 percent of the population loves Paris, but Alas, I’m in the other 99.05 percent.
It is hard to believe anything she says since those of us who possess some analytical and critical thinking skills have found inconsistencies in her statements time after time. The “oh I’ve only slept with two men” statement and that would be which two of the ten or so that claim they have known her in the biblical sense? Or the “I’m not going to have sex for a year” statement. Gee, does one think a boyfriend-child like Stavros who has women chasing him is going to be celibate for a year? Or how about the Vanity Fair interview she gave about settling down with Paris Latis? Wanting kids. A family. Out of the limelight. Yeah right. The woman, in my nonmedical opinion is a pathological liar.
She is obviously a child of privilege, brought up to think she is better than most.
I mean really, how the hell did she get away with using the N word and being homophobic in those home videos that were splashed on the internet. Don Imus, who’s job it is to shock, didn’t. Isaih Washington, who from all accounts is a total ass on set, didn’t. Everyone else who has used the N word and has said homophobic stuff has had to apologize and take educational classes. How did Paris get away with it?
It would be easier for us that don’t like her to believe her if she showed contrition before she ended up in jail. She never really rendered any type of sincere apologies for driving drunk. She didn’t complete her alcohol abuse classes (and I think Fox news said she never even started them). Didn’t do any public service. Drove on a suspended license, which I’ll say maybe she didn’t know that she was since the DMV was the one that suspended it, not hte courts…but she was told by a police officer that she was and not to do it again and she signed a statement about acknowledging what he said. Then when she was pulled over speeding, driving without lights–they found the statement in her glove compartment. She violated her probation. And she didn’t know?
Then, when it appeared she actually might go to jail. She got God. Look at the pictures of her carrying the Bible and the other book. And then go back and try to accidentally arrange two books like she did. It was a purposeful maneuver.
Her only regret seems to be that she is actually expected to serve some jail time.
Yes, the sentence was probably too harsh based on other experiences by other stars, other nobodies.
But somtimes the roll of the dice is against you and you have to accept it.
Yes, I’m venting. I have gotten so tired of these no talent celebutants popping up everywhere. Who really cares in the end?

Ok it seems that my comment wasn’t published because it was at the same time Jared was updating his blog. So here we go again.

@17 Joy,

First of all , let’s take a look at Michele Rodriquez not-so-reckless-and-fatal-driving records: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michelle_Rodriguez

Now I’m not from California, so I can’t say much about the law there. But that seems hard-core to me.

And the reason for her early released? Overcrowding, yep not even mental illness or physical at all. She was realeased while she was well and healthy. And no she didnt have to go through house arrest. Why? probably becos nobody care to stop outside her house to see if she tries to sneak out.

Thank you for pointing out that Paris wasn’t arrested because of DUI but because of driving without a license. And here people went wild and claimed such and such that she could kill someone on the street.

Yes, Paris can not be compared to Rodriquez. Because Rodriquez’s WAY WAY more likely to kill an innocent life on the street than Paris.

And don’t even go to the numbers. Rodriquez outdid Paris in all counts.

I think we have established, like a million times, that Paris is a brat and a *****, but let’s not put someone behind the bars (longer than necessary) because of who she sleeps with or how she spents her money.

Yes she used her mental illness as an excuse, but she shouldn’t have to anyway. That is of course, if the judge (and the prosecutors)would get over his personal feeling and not see a celibrity he hates.

@25 Hobo

NO, I’m not Paris’s publicist, wouldn’t want to be. Jared would know better(that I’m not). I’ve been commenting regularly, but rarely involve in discussions like this. But this is just too much.

We ask for justice? What kind of justice are we talking here? Let me ask you guys this. How many of you can say 100% that Michael Jackson did not molest someone’s children? Be honest.
You see the point? , It’s not all black and white all the time.

Would you rather leave your under-age children at Michael Jackson’s ranch overnight or would you put them behind Paris’s Bentlley backseats, eventhough she might not have a proper license? I’ll go for the latter anyday.

poor paris @ 06/10/2007 at 10:43 am

Dancer-well said.

Everyone ask yourself one question:
Do you loathe Nicky Hilton as you do Paris. Most are indifferent to NH. She isn’t bothersome.
Same money-same family-same friends.
Just ask yourself why.

How can anyone change so much in such a short time - what an actress! Firstly, while walking on the red carpet, Paris is willing to go to jail. This of course is after claiming she got a bad deal in court and even expected Arnold S. to get her out of the mess she made. Secondly, she carries on and supposedly becomes extremely ill after only three days in prison - causing much trouble for everyone and money for the state of California and, if I may add, she made a complete and utter fool of herself. I am surprised and disappointed at Gerardo Rivera for defending her against the judge and intend never to watch his show again, as he himself claimed that he would not want his daughter to imitate Paris. Now, after realizing that she made a fool of herself, she is trying to fix this by saying she will do her time and, we, the little people, should only care about the troops overseas, while she gets herself back together again and tries to repair her image. So, as Paris said, I also hope we all have leared from her “mistake” and sign a petition to keep her off the air forever. It is all a game to make money, which is all she and her family care about, it is about the money, nothing else. It is all fake - she wears extensions, blue contact lenses, a fake tan, and only God knows what else. Take it away and we are left with a blubbering idiot who can not withstand even a minimal amount of inconvenience and, yes, expected preferencial treatment from the beginning. She is not a scapegoat for the justice system. That was her sentence and she should serve it without questions. And please stop saying she is being hazzled because of her wealth, it is because of her as a person. Ultimately, we are all judged on our conduct, not our possessions. She is not a good person who brings help and comfort to the world, she is a miserable person who wants undeserved glory, and, of course, MONEY$. Thank you for letting me vent my opinion.

@Jim #43

Okay, I will play. If you really read my post I was not in the slightest upholding Michelle R. I mentioned her because you did and I said she is going back for driving illegally not DUI. Anyway, who is Michelle R.? I am the type of person who believes that there are consequences and repercussions for everything that you do. I also believe that justice should not be based on your status. I DO believe that Michael Jackson has some real issues and he more than likely is guilty of some inappropriate behavior. But this is not a thread about MR or MJ, it is about PH! There was talk about double standards and that SHE was getting the “short end of the stick”. I pointed out how justice works in the real world, for real people, you know, the people that Paris wants us to concentrate on? Again, actions speak more loudly than words and Paris’ actions were, “yeah, yeah I know that I was told not to drive but I AM PARIS HILTON! I am not like those other people. This does not apply to me.”

Can she even find Iraq on a map????

Serve the time already. No sympathy here!

Paris Hilton makes me sick. Anyone who looks up to her after all this is a bigger idiot than she is.

oh i’m saying is SO WHAT ?so many people complanied to the judge that why she got the sentence . And who the **** tells the judge to call her at home …what the **** is that all about.

Paris got sentenced to jail for violatng her parole. She got parole, fines, and community service for the DUI; she was also ordered to attend classes about alcohol abuse, but she never even signed up for those classes.
Repeat, she’s in jail because she violated her parole by twice driving with a suspended license.
She did not get jail sentence ’cause of the DUI. She got probation ’cause of the DUI.
Understand?

Paris cant even keep her selfish needs in control.Paris needs to check Paris and be the best she can be not someone else.Right now she should take it one step at a time. Her issues seem ongoing.DUI driving is one problem but is not the only problem.Google her theres a litany of things going on with her or has gone on with her. Some true, some not, only Paris knows, but she has put herself out there. If Paris is sincere we all will find out.The media cant get enough of her and she cant get enough of the media. We shall see.

Paris lied to the Judge and Sheriff about a “mental illness/condition”.

I hope the City Attorney takes the Hiltons to court for trying to corrupt the legal system.

LA is so much nicer without this user and glorified celeb PORN STAR AKA PARIS.

Paris is finised after making such a fool of herself in court. If she had stayed in jail the first time, it would have been a week already and she would have only two weeks left to do. Now, she has to do 40+ more days. Man, she is her own worse enemy and stupid. She should be humiliated to show her face in front of a camera again. I am from Europe and I can say that when she was engaged to Paris Latsis, and her mother made a big deal about the Hilton family going to Greece to meet his parents and spend the summer on their yatch, his parents hated Paris and left the country so they did not have to meet her parents or her. Of course, Paris’pr people said it was she who ended the engagement, ha, it was the boy - forced by his parents! Let us all end this lunacy and just let it go - no more Paris, please!!! Ding dong the witch/***** is dead!

Paris’s “statement”, mostly likely written by her P.R. people, not her, is total bullsh-t. I do not care about anything she has to say anymore. She just needs to go away already.

Aw, she’s thinking about the troops. How kind and sincere on her. What a wonderful soul.
Puh-leeze. The only person Paris cares about is herself.

Do your time, like 45 days is so not hot?
If that sentence warrants a mental breakdown, wonder how people sentenced to life get through it.

I was horrifed that the media paid soooo much attention to her. I don’t have anything against her, but she is nothing. Paris is the type of story you report for fun or fluff. CNN should not have devoted sooooo much time to it. Like the Lindsay thing.

Paris Hilton could have killed someone and also she was let off easy the first time she got caught DUI. Paris knowingly violated the judges order so he had to show her how serious her actions were. She sould serve every second of time.

The media should listen to the statement that someone clearly wrote for her and stop paying attention to these nobodies please.

My roomates and I have seriously different opinions on her.

Some of the comments being said are cruel, but its understandable that people are fed up with these celebrities getting away with whatever the hell they want. Their only famous, their not gods. But who’s actually to blame here? Everyone screws up, and I know people who’s actions put Paris and Nicole’s to shame. It is up to our legal system to punish them appropriatly, which often times they fail to do. The people I know get punished, Paris and Nicole realy do not. Why? Because they are famous and the people I know are not.

I dont think we can blame it on wealth alone. There are plenty of people who are rich and there not all getting away with murder as the celebs do. A lot of it has to do with their fame.

Yeah so its someone elses job to release an appropriate statement. But shouldnt it be atleast buyable? That doesnt even sound like something that would come out of her mouth.

I have no idea what its like to be brought up with more money then my entire hometown put together will ever see and to be raised by the nannies or maids, I cant say what kind of human being I would be either. Always being told that Im “special, priveledged, gorgeous, wealthy, above everyone else” etc etc my entire life. Obviously not being taught any morals or common sense and being pushed into clubs like some sort of sad puppet by my own mother at such a young age. Im sure I to would be running around doing what Paris does best. Whatever the f^^^ she pleases.

She’s a young woman who obviously still has a lot of learning and growing up to do. Maybe someday she will. And if not, thats Paris Hiltons problem, not mine. I may not be wealthy, but atleast I have goals and actually contribute to society. She has so much, maybe someday she will smarten up and help those who are in dire need of some damn clean drinking water.

What’s ironic about her statement is NOW media coverage on paris is bad but the war has been going on for years and she never seemed to mind before.

outrageous @ 06/10/2007 at 6:21 pm

I think the statement is outrageous basically what’s she saying is that the public should mind their own business or focus on more important issues and not worry about whether she only served 3 days in jail. I agree with others, I’m sure this was all planned but they didn’t count on how outraged everyone would be, they thought they would get away with it. I’m sure she genuinely was shocked about the intense scrutiny… I’d say the “bitter lesson” she learned was that she finaly realised that she’s not above the law and that the whole world was going to make sure she realised it.

I love that everybody here has their own opinions regarding Paris Hilton’s jail sentence. Discussion should be more like this instead of bashing celebrity for our own amusement even though that can be really fun heheh. Hope Paris is doing well in prison.

I actually felt sorry for her when I saw her crying on tv and heard that she cried out “Mom!”
*****************************
Everybody wants their mom when they have to pay the piper.
If you wanna dance to the music, you have to pay the piper.

I don’t care if it is just her PR firm speaking, It’s the 1st intellegent thing the girl has said….

Oh boo hoo for Paris! She’s just upset that she won’t get the media attention she craves 24/7.

Am sorry but i refuse to believe everything she just said. She is a spoilt brat and she continues to be everyday. I cant seem to feel sorry for her.she is such a fake and i know she is human but she is just using the soldiers in Iraq as another way of igniting more and more talk about her.

She really deserved what she got!!! A real dumb idiotic woman.. She thought that she could get away from whatever she felt like doing before her drunk driving conviction..Now she has to think twice before (if she has brain)she drink and drive.. I just hope that she make use of her time in jail by cleaning out her dead brain cell..
