OlderParis Hilton: “God Has Released Me”
Paris Hilton called Barbara Walters from jail yesterday afternoon (prisoners must call collect), making bold statements like “God has released me” and “I’m not that superficial girl.”
On how she’s doing: “I’m hanging in there. I feel as if I’m a different person. I’ve dropped my appeal. I don’t want to cause any more problems.”
On not wailing, sobbing or screaming as had been described: “But I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed and felt as if I was in a cage. I was not myself. It was a horrible experience.”
On how prison has changed her: “I’m not the same person I was. I used to act dumb. It was an act. I am 26 years old, and that act is no longer cute. It is not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who looked up to me. I know now that I can make a difference, that I have the power to do that. I have been thinking that I want to do different things when I am out of here. I have become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance.”
On her spiritual well-being: “My spirit or soul did not like the way I was being seen and that is why I was sent to jail. God has released me.”
On not being allowed makeup or lotion: “It doesn’t matter. I’m not that superficial girl. I haven’t looked in the mirror since I got here.”
On the possibility of being let out early: “I feel that the purpose of my life is to be where I am. However, usually with a situation like mine, the person serves 10 percent of their time. I have already served 30 percent of my time. I hope if there is overcrowding in the jail, I would be let out before someone with a much more serious crime.”
On learning her lesson: “I will never again have a drink and drive.”

Gosh, she is so annoying.
Some gets rid off the drugs after spending few week is rehab, some stops drinking alcohol after spending few days in rehab, some starts seeing the real purpose of life after spending less than week in jail. If it’s so easy, why can’t they do it before?

The fact that the first thing Paris did after going to jail was calling Barbara Walters proved she has not changed a bit. She is still obsessed w/the attention.
Prison has “changed” her, my ass. She’s been in prison what… maybe 5 days total? Laughable.
I guess she had to try something, she finally realized no one really liked the act she was playing. Good news is she has several weeks to create a new character, I am hoping for a comb of Jennifer Aniston & Angelina how kewl would that be?

This chick spends one week in jail and all of a sudden she has seen the light and has found the Lord. WHATEVER! She is just trying to hold on to the *few* remaining fans that she has left, by attempting to save face with this phoney appeal to the “public”. The only thing she “deserves” is a swift smack in the head. She’s had many chances to turn herself around and become a better person. She is still an irritating attention seeker.
Ahem…what was it she said just yesterday? Stop paying attention to me and pay attention to the troops instead? Then she jumps at the first chance to do a media interview. Paris can’t stand not being in the public eye. She is 2 kinds of withdrawal: not just from her drugs, but not getting to dress up and do interviews. She is trying to communicate with the public every single day from jail.
Maybe her claim of ‘not looking in the mirror anymore’ has caused her to have amnesia too because she’s clearly forgotten about the statement written for her yesterday.
If there is a nuclear war, it isn’t the cockroaches that will survive, Paris will survive. She just won’t go away. ugh!!!

Let’s not forget, with God, nothing is impossible. We might think it can’t be done, but if the man above thinks otherwise, it will be done according to his will.

I for one hope that Paris straighten her life out, because that stupid dumb act was getting really frustrating to watch. Sometimes I would wonder how can someone be so dumb. Sometimes you have to hid rock bottom to realized that you need to take stock of your life and do something about it. Not to sound religious, but I believe that God make things happen in your life for a reason. He always has a purpose. I truly hope Paris takes stock of her life, and learns from this. If what she’s saying is true, then I hope that she takes the time and use it wisely, do some soul searching. I know first hand about hitting rock botton. It’s not a good place to be. The good thing about being at the bottom is you can only climb to the top from there. I wish her the best of luck.

When someone is finding God, they don’t necessarily have to diplay that they are doing so like carrying the Bible around in place of previous chihuahas just so the media can take a picture of it. Faith is personal not something you advertise like she has already tried to. I don’t trust her motives and I would not put it past her to use faith as yet another PR stunt. She has been hurtful to many people and had no regard for their feelings. Maybe I am just not as good of a person as you are-I can’t help but judget her.

Who is this all consume selfish spoiled brat in love with herself thinks will believe her?Shes change in a few days.Yeah,Paris most all inmates change alledgely inside prison or before they serve time,they somehow find GAWD.We shall see,but I doubt it.
