Jennifer Aniston is a Goree Girl
Jennifer Aniston will produce a period musical for DreamWorks titled Goree Girls, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which she may also star in.
Goree Girls is based on a true story about singing prisoners — eight women serving time at Texas’ Goree Prison during the 1940s who formed one of the first all-female country and western acts in the country and captured the hearts of millions of fans in the process.
Aniston, 38, is a former partner of ex-hubby Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B. She has several producing projects in development via that relationship including the upcoming The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which Brad stars in.

As far as Plan B, the couple of articles I’ve read from reliable sources state she took a handful of projects with her to produce under her own as of yet named production company, along with a monetary payout. She also stated in one of her post divorce interviews (I forget which)that Plan B had gotten too big and that was one of the reasons she was ok leaving it behind. She is not a part of the company anymore and the current projects have nothing to do with her. The last one she was associated with (or Kristin Hahn anyway) was The Departed. This blurb from Yahoo (original source of this particular news snippet) is incorrect as AOJJ is Brad’s and Plan B’s.

Bad Michael Winterbottom movies are not uncommon, but none have been as useless as A Mighty Heart. The film’s only achievement may be what Premiere’s Glenn Kenny acknowledges as the director’s understanding that audiences are no longer able to look at Angelina Jolie onscreen without seeing Angelina Jolie. Winterbottom recognizes the actress’s iconicity as a force that must be reckoned with—which is to say, disguised. Except the tricks he employs to help the actress disappear into the film’s tapestry of uncertainty aren’t exactly new and reek of evasiveness. You could say they’re as transparent as this painstaking chronicle of a police investigation is gutless.
Asking no questions, giving no insights, and demanding nothing of his audience, Winterbottom dramatizes the last days in the life of Daniel Pearl in his typically cold, hyperventilating fashion: cinematography that looks like the walls of the Lincoln Tunnel, shots that don’t last more than five seconds, and lazy cultural specificity. His faux sense of urgency attempts to keep the blood pumping, except all it does is camouflage this historical recreation’s almost disturbing lack of resonance. Esquire Magazine does an in depth fluff piece on Angelina Jolie this month that is celeb worship beyond its finest. But it may not hold up well for Brangelina fans that have always claimed that Jolie didn’t split Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. The article comes straight out and says that Brad left Jennifer for Angelina. Jolie has always maintained that wasn’t the case.
It first notes that Brad Pitt bought ‘A Mighty Heart’ for Jennifer Aniston as soon as he read the manuscript, with the idea in mid that he would give her the lead role in the film. Of course jolie gets the lead now as she is with brad. Then the article flatly states that Brad left Jen for Angelina.

“When Brad Pitt left Jennifer for the Angelina after the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith…” the article notes in one area. In another area it talks of the Us Weekly Magazine cover that speaks of Jolie’s “Twisted Double Life” and notes that one part of that is “because she wrested Brad Pitt away from Jennifer Aniston.” Did Angelina steal Brad away from Jennifer during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith?
Were they going at it during the filming as all the rumors speculated at the time? And the real question did she hint to the author Tom Junod and come clean that she is a home wrecker as many have called her since the split of the golden couple? Or was it just the author’s opinion?

And by the way i’m a JA fan and i was able to see AMH at Cannes and liked it. I wasn’t impressed by AJ or the movie but i think the movie is good and her performance was ok, but it’s true that you hear so much about her now and see her everywhere that it’s hard to find her credible in movies now, you just see AJ on screen, i don’t know if you know what i mean, it’s hard to seperate her and the caracter.
Anyway, i don’t think this will be a huge success because that’s quite a complex movie, it makes you think a lot, but i personnaly enjoyed it.

JENNIFER Aniston’s new fella was a raging cocaine fiend who snorted the drug with Kate Moss before they met Nelson Mandela, the News of the World can reveal.
And pals of Brit Paul Sculfor warned the Friends actress to walk away from the relationship before she gets hurt.
One told us: “Jennifer should get out while she can. If he can behave like that, what kind of person is he?”
Friends revealed male model Sculfor, a former Essex roofer, has a sordid past that centred on an astonishing £450-a-day cocaine habit. They say:
TRIED to bed All Saints singer Nicole Appleton, but was so out of it on cocaine that he ended up with her band-mate Shaznay Lewis.
TOOK six months drug rehab, compared to the normal 28 days, because his coke addiction was so bad.
NEEDS daily treatment to stay off it three years after beating his habit.
ENJOYS controlling women and is a serial womaniser.
Sculfor and supermodel Kate became friends after he won a competition to become a model in 1997, snorting cocaine whenever they could — even before meeting a revered figure like Mandela in 1998.
Their agency Storm organised a fashion show in Cape Town which featured Paul, Kate and Naomi Campbell. Afterwards, they were invited to a reception at Mr Mandela’s home.
Our source said: “Kate and Paul were doing line after line of coke backstage then going down the catwalk as if they were fine.
“Afterwards they went to the Table Bay Hotel because they ran out of cocaine, and topped themselves up before going to Mandela’s.
“As Mandela was inviting guests into his house Kate nipped into a toilet and started doing cocaine. I remember Paul telling me, ‘We were totally wrecked. Kate and I were so off our heads we couldn’t remember what we said to Nelson Mandela. And we couldn’t stop laughing about it’.”
Jennifer, 38, who divorced Brad Pitt two years ago, has rarely dated since splitting up with actor Vince Vaughn last October.
She is said to be smitten with Sculfor, 36, who spent a night at her LA mansion this month. She may not be aware of his murky past.
Our source said: “Paul had a huge cocaine problem, taking about £450 of it a day. It turned him paranoid. He would tape up all his windows and hide away because he heard noises.”
Sculfor finally checked into The Priory Clinic in Southgate, north London, at the beginning of 2004.
The source added: “Most people attend a 28-day programme but he needed six months to get sorted. He had a rich friend to pay for it. Afterwards he went to Cocaine Anonymous every day. He’s still a regular and meditates every day to try to stay clean.”
Sculfor’s addictive personality spilled over into his love-life too as he bedded a string of famous beauties.
He became friendly with All Saints at the height of their success in 1999 and was desperate to bed their singer Nicole Appleton in revenge at her boyfriend at the time, Robbie Williams.
One source told us: “Robbie had been rude to Paul so he thought having sex with his girlfriend would get up his nose. He planned to make his move but on the night took so much cocaine he didn’t know what he was doing and ended up with Shaznay.
“He woke up and couldn’t believe it. He is obsessed with dating celebrities. He was engaged to Lisa Snowdon, who dumped him for cheating on her, and dated DJ Lisa I’Anson and Victoria Hervey.”
It was at a London acting school that Sculfor picked up a string of women including Elaine Tan, EastEnders’ scheming Li Chong.
Our source said: “He was vile to her. They met when he was dating glamour model Ebony. He dumped Ebony for Elaine but made her pay for it every second of their relationship.
“He was an utter control freak. If she didn’t do as he told her he would scream his head off at her.

The attraction was there …. his marriage to Jen was waning, and to me it does not matter if they had a physical relationship by then, it was DEFINITELY an emotional bond; Brad made his mind up (which was not hard to do in his case) that he wanted to be with Angie.

It warmed my heart to see in print in Esquire (twice, as a matter of fact) the verification that Brad left Jennifer for Angelina. Love it. It must have been stroke time for the loons. Can we all same “HOME WRECKER”.

I doubt this will get off the ground if it is indeed true. Still I think I should study this woman because whatever she does it great and pretty much devoid of all criticism except for those who are fans of Brad/Angelina. This is RARE in a celebrity. I attribute some of it to inability of the general public to separate her from Rachel as I notice that people rarely quote anything she has said or even has any opinion of her lifestyle as Jennifer. Rather there is always this “we’re rooting for you” sentiment going as if to say she’s been through enough so lets give pity praise to any bit of news. But in a sense isn’t that insulting her passively? Thread after thread on various sites ask the question: why hate Jennifer at the slightest jab and I ask myself why “hate” any celebrity but we all do it so why then is she untouchable? I mean seriously this woman was in a marriage where she and her husband obviously didn’t have the same goals in life. You can put not having children on her career all you want but even that speaks volumes as she was married to an established star who was not in her predicament.
I have yet to have anybody give me an answer as to why its ok to marry a man who wants a family knowing that is not your intention. In the real world that **** doesn’t fly. I think no one addresses it because then that would be admitting she used Brad. Yet the public is still on the sidelines cheering.

Gosh.. so true, so true… Fanistons IQ doesn’t allow them to understand such movies. The one where you have to think. All they can need – is stupid brainless popcorn movies. It’s beyond them. None of them didn’t liked and understand Babel. They were out of the movietheater thinking – what was the film about? It was boring, why nothing was bombing? no action hero who will save the world at the end? no spiderman-like action stuff? no toilet jokes?
