Do you guys think Angelina Jolie if the most hated/controversial celebrity of all time?? I mean, besides Paris Hilton who is just a JOKE, haters are OBSESSED with her. They claim to hate her yet go on her blogs and forums DAILY and talk about her for hours.

Quite honestly I think people are threatened by her. A blogger wrote an editorial a few months ago and I can’t remember who it is right now but she said something that really stuck with me and I always think about it during times like now. She said “Angelina doesn’t make anyone feel good about themselves.” In essence saying that she has such a full life and doesn’t let anyone set her standards and people are just naturally intimidated by that. And IMO the ones most vociferous are the ones most threatened. They’ll go from blog to blog screaming that everyone hates her and she is joke yet….as an actress she’s won numerous awards too many to count, as a humanitarian gets plenty of praise and respect from her peers. And then this years Forbes list comes out, which places her at number 14, number one among actresses. So if anything I just pity the people who want to focus on spreading the hate bc at this point their greatest joy is trying to keep her down. Misery LOVES company.

I think you explaind it perfectly.
She accomplished so much and she is still quite young. She received GG and Oscar when she was in early 20, she adopted Mad and involved in refugees work in her middle 20.

When she does something she put herself more than 100% - when she loves she loves like crazy, when she dedicates refugees she goes to terrible and dangerous places, she becomes the person when she films movies. This is why she is so accomplished than anyone and some people is threatened by it.

Angie is a human being so she makes mistakes. The difference between Angie and some other people are that she does not whine/complain but just learn from her mistakes and try to do better.

Some of the posters, i.e haters,critics, over-analyzers are off their rockers. It ain’t that serious. Step away from the keyboard. BP and AJ will be just fine while some of you rant and rave about nothing. AJ is living her life. She cannot please everybody. She is a Mother, UN Representative, partner and actress. Focus more on her charity work and career and less on every mis-perceived slight, pictures and every action that she makes. BP and AJ will not fit in a mold to please everybody. Hell* you can’t even do it in your own personal lives. Let the people live their lives.

Not sure if anyone added this to the argument but since as usual I am a day late and dollar short I will still add my 2 cents…

When I first heard what the press was saying…(I can’t access JJ from work “Hey Jared I am going through withdrawals!) anyway as I was saying. The first thought to run through my head was, how awkward it would be talking about your family with MP right there! This movie is HER story. The questions should really center around her life and how the book and movie came to be. I think B&A wanted to respect her enough and not answer questions that would have them gushing about their family when there sits MP with a family that has been irreparably altered.

I have a friend who lost her daughter and 2 grandchildren in an accident and I noticed in myself the need to not boast and brag around her about my children and grandchildren. It has been years and we are very good friends but there is a compassionate side to me that holds back on those things around her. It’s because I respect and care about her loss and her feelings.

Just my 2 cents.

Happy belated b-day AG! (As I said, I am always a day late and a dollar short, hence just having 2 cents to contribute)

#347 That might not be the reason she signed autographs or agreed for the sit down. Anything she does is the big story and maybe she didn’t want that attention to overpower the film which a lot of people were involved in and had worked hard for.Imagine the press story jolie booed by fans at mighty heart screening that doesn’t reflect well for the film and we all know how the media reacted today over the fox story it doesn’t mean that it’s all for a good personal image it may well be but all i’m saying is it might not be as well.

I know I’m not on the right thread, but in regards to the ‘interview contract’ I just wanted to add that I wasn’t sure if it was legitimate when I read. Having dealt with legal contracts for years, I have to say that it was of a very informal form - no legalese really. But I will add that the trend in law is towards what we call ‘plain English’ format…
