Tyra Banks @ Daytime Emmy Awards 2007
Tyra Banks takes to the red carpet with brand new bangs, donning a bronze Roberto Cavalli at the 2007 Daytime Emmy Awards at the Kodak theater in Hollywood.
WHAT DO YOU THINK? Fashion disaster or fashion savvy?

I love the dress…but its more of a runway piece than a red carpet dress.
then it should have censored out that dress because that’s the that dress looks like
The hairstyle is much too casual. A ponytail on the red carpet?
Next!
This dress reminds me of some Project Runway DISASTER. Maybe Heidi made her wear one of thoes gowns.
tyra, u’re beautiful, now put the drapes back where they belong.
Tyra looks GREAT! :-] I love her!
Fashion savvy.
disaster
yeah, i see, she’s trying to cover her five head w/ that bang. anyways, is she trying to blind people by wearing that shiny bronze under the California sun?
I totally L O V E it! She looks so glamorous. I haven’t seen her looking that great for a long long time! I love that dress and her hair looks beautiful and fresh!
I must say that I would wear that dress. She’s a model and she knows what looks good. And I know what I like and I actually love the dress.
It’s her choice. So really You guys out there can’t judge her by making the wrong dress choice. And it’s very stupid to judge stars by every little thing like ponytail, arms? So ******* what? Just look at yourselves, do you look so beautiful? If you don’t look as good as Tyra Banks, I would shut the **** up !
she looks a bit like a float
at the very least it needs ironed!
Isnt it Keira knightleys vera wang dress from when she was nominated for her pride and prejudice oscar? but in another colour?
Incredibly messy, she’s trying too hard here. It could’ve been a good design for a dress, but it looks like someone forgot to use the iron.
Great person, but see looks horrible in this dress. If you’re going to be the host of a show about fashion, you should always look your best. Don’t just get your opionion, but try to get at least two opionions before you walk out of the door. You also look unhappy in these pictures. Whats up lady?
I just figured it out, this is an incredibly messy version of the stunning Vera Wang dress worn by Keira Knightley at the oscars in 2006.
I can’t figure out WTF it *is*, but I don’t dislike it. Those of you who said it wasn’t an appropriate choice for day wear are right. But that said, I don’t think there are any standards she’s obligated to conform to.
You have to admit, it is a dramatic number. :)
Its too dramatic for a daytime Emmy Awards which no body watched, I am sure. She is prepared as if its Oscars or something, and its disaster.
Thought I recognized this gown, this Vera Wang design looks alot better on Keira Knightley. It seems that Trya over-dress for the Daytime Emmy Awards.
I cannot believe Tyra tells girls how to look on her show, and then she comes out looking like this? She needs to get a new stylist. That is not a flattering dress. Plus it was for the daytime emmys, not the oscars. Try again Tyra!!
She looks skinny. I’m thinking that she IS affected by all the talk about her weight, although I never thought she was fat or anything.
Why does she ALWAYS wear a wig?
My problem with the dress is that there’s probably about 100 other ladies who have missed out on a dress in that fabric because it was all used for Tyra’s dress. Too much going on. Love the hair though.
Some people think that big is better…this is a good example of why it doesn’t always work…the dress is too much…she went overboard for the Emmy’s…and the top of the dress is so similar to Keira Knighley’s Oscar dress 2 years ago…
Tyra tries too hard to make an impression…
Looks like at age 67 Roberto Cavalli needs to have his eyes examined, maybe new glasses would have helped. This dress is really ugly. The top is ok but the skirt does look like bunched up bronze garbage bags.
But then again, maybe poor Roberto is just to OLD to know/remember what sexy, or sophisticated looks like…………..
